(00:00):
Music.
(01:00):
I think I'm going to die. I thought I was the only one hearing my name being
called. And they didn't believe me because they said, that's not real because demons are fake.
You've never seen that before. I'm going to tell you, he's not your friend.
I don't want him to know that I'm telling y'all about him. What do you think he was?
Just a person, a guy. Yeah, I just saw it. I don't know who.
I just saw something like that.
(01:22):
Music.
I'm right.
And I'm Sierra.
(01:44):
And this is how it's done.
So Thank you. Thank you.
(02:34):

Music.
What's going on everybody? Welcome to Haunts and Legends.
I am your host, Ray, and this is my co-host I'm Sierra Tonight we have a very
special guest or team on our podcast tonight,
(03:20):
We do, we do Good morning, everybody, or evening, it's not morning I heard I
saw Damien say good morning and I got messed up.
But welcome to your regularly scheduled podcast Tuesdays at 7pm.
We are so happy you're here.
And I think we should just bring our guests on. Have you guys ever heard of paranormal theory?
(03:42):
Well you're going to nope so without further ado drum roll please let's welcome
ryan nick and brent from paranormal theory hey how's it going what's up hello
i don't know who paranormal theory is i need to figure that out oh you mean
theory paranormal very paranormal,
(04:03):
all right well we're just gonna kick him out since he has no idea why he's here.
How are you guys doing tonight i'm good alive is he good for a tuesday,
kind of enjoying a relaxing month off from investigating yeah see i don't i
don't know if i could do that i need to have in order to keep like my serotonin
(04:25):
levels at a healthy state like i need i need to be on a ghost hunt at least
once a month at least well next month we got three or four events.
We're busy next month.
There you go. We got a lot of videos. A lot of videos coming up.
(04:45):
I'm sure a lot of editing. That takes a lot of time too.
Yes. It's what I've been doing all day today.
And probably for... Well, not the rest of the night. The video is pretty much
done. I'm just finishing out color grading.
I have no idea what that means. but i'm sure
you will do a great job at whatever it is it makes
(05:05):
colors from the stock footage look prettier they
ain't like filters on instagram just make the brighter brighter darker whatever
you want eventually i'm gonna learn that yeah it's it's something i was messing
around with and then i was like i was like nick did you like the way i color
graded this and he's like dude
(05:25):
i I don't even know what it looked like stock. I'm like, okay, thanks.
Thanks for the help. Well, that's my issue. He asked me if I like what it looks
like, and I'm like, well, I don't know what it looked like before you changed
it to give you an option that would look different.
See, how it goes with me is my job is to sit here, drink my iced coffee,
and run my mouth while Ray does all the work.
(05:47):
So that's where I fit into the whole Haunted Legends, guys.
Ryan is our whole backs are our producer
and everything so he runs the where we're going social media is editing and
all that I am the driver and when we hit the ground I'm the one that takes over
And with us I run Instagram and tick tock Sierra runs a Facebook I am going
(06:12):
to be the editor and Sierra is the director Yeah,
All the ideas. So what does Brent do? Brent's our new guy.
Yeah, I'm new. We're still getting to that point. Right now,
I'm just helping with the pitching in for money. Right now, I'm a pocket.
Well, Brent's also, he's more creative than us, so he's going more with our
(06:36):
kind of shirt designs, hat designs, and stuff like that.
We're going to start doing new designs and everything on that.
Okay. okay it should be good looks like you got a good well-rounded
but we you know you got the passenger princess
yes i am a princess but we
but in all seriousness we we like brent on these
(06:57):
investigations and and as a part of the team because he's new to investigating
so like nick has said before he doesn't have any like bad habits or anything
and so you can train him yeah other than other than whistling that i'm working on that one was.
But not that we can train him but like if he's feeling something and he says it it's not i guess,
(07:25):
like someone who you know has
been doing this and going into all these different buildings for
years like so that's a new feeling to him so
if he says that it's like okay like let's figure out why he's
feeling that way because he knows that's not a
normal feeling to him like for me and nick those feelings
they eventually become normal and you
(07:46):
have to be paying attention to it to actually realize it sometimes yeah yeah
that makes a lot of sense i just want to welcome everyone in real quick before
we get in too far so as usual we have damien in the house got my mama we got icy hello Hello.
(08:07):
Hello, Brandy.
Scrolling, scrolling, scrolling.
Hi, Rob. We have... Netherlands. Netherlands. Wow.
She's up late. We have... We got Courtney. Hi, beautiful.
(08:32):
And... Hello, Amber.
Thank you everyone for tuning in. I suppose we'll start off with the first question of many from Damien.
He wants to know, what's the first song you play on the route as a team?
Like when you're driving to a place, like, do you have a song that you have
to play before every investigation?
Is it like all the single ladies? Is it, you know, sexy and I know it? Yeah.
(08:58):
No, we usually start with falling in reverse or something. For the past couple
of rides, that's what we've been listening to a lot.
I can get behind some Ronnie. I just seen them on September 7th. Lucky.
Yeah, I got to go. I think they're coming around Philly. Well, we got to go for sure.
(09:20):
I'm trying to go see Lorna Shore in October in Philly.
Wow. I saw them in Virginia at a festival.
They're really cool. Nice.
Paranormal theory. Let's start where... How did you guys get into the paranormal field?
(09:44):
What was the moment where you're like, hey, I want to do this?
I guess we'll start with Brian or Nick on that one. They started at first before
I even came into the cult. Nick's always good at answering this question.
Go ahead nick well ryan and
i always were involved doing we used
to work for penthouse so we were always in a haunted building so we always had
(10:08):
felt this connection in charge to it so when we used to go do their museum tour
through the mayflower building we always got responses i got scratched match
two different times in there.
So I started going, looking for it.
And Ryan wanted to join a team. So he reached out to a couple of teams trying
(10:30):
to ask them and they were like, oh, well, you don't do what we do.
You do public investigations.
We do privates. Sorry, we don't want you on the team. It's like, okay, fine.
So we got a couple of friends together. When we started, we had seven people that were with us.
Recently, it went down to just Ryan and I, and then Brent just joined us within
(10:52):
the month. The other people who aren't alive, by the way.
Yeah. The way Nick said that. No one died.
But, yeah, so we went out just to get more answers, you know,
because everybody's like, they always ask, you know, do you think there's life
(11:12):
after death or is death the end?
And being in this field and getting the responses that we do and the evidence,
there's definitely 100% there is some type of life after death,
and it's not the final option.
Eventually, we'll become one, but it's definitely not immediate. Right.
And what about you, Brent? What was your driving force where you were like,
(11:36):
hey, I'm going to go hang out with these two knuckleheads?
Well, we've known each other for over 10 years now.
Know so we've known each other like they started doing it
probably like last year and so i was like i'd
like work and stuff so it was tough my work schedule to get behind
doing all that and then because i'm on my job but i go to different jobs every
(11:58):
once in a while so then they took me to white hill and that's when i pretty
much got hooked on the paranormal stuff white hill was nuts even even though
I did step on a mouse, but it was still good.
When you were at Whitehill, did you try giving 20s to girls in the basement of the bar?
No, all I had was lint, that's about it. Came there first.
(12:23):
He tried to cheat. He tried to cheat playing cards.
And that was probably actually one of the coolest responses that we got because,
he was reading the cards you know for the camera,
and I was like oh he's cheating what do we do to cheaters and it came through the SP7 it said mug him,
(12:46):
it happened twice yeah first time
we didn't hear it and then the second time when nick
asked again and it was like mug them and it was super clear
so that was that was really cool see i i absolutely love the the spirit boxes
like when it comes to like favorite piece of equipment like the spirit box we
also use the phasma box program that you get on your computer as well love them
(13:08):
love them But going back to White Hill, really, just real quick,
my boy Ray over here got a lap dance from a ghost in the basement.
Because he was dropping 20s. I was dropping 20s on the ball.
And then we go up to the hostel area up on the third floor.
(13:32):
And I'm in one of the rooms, you know, tucked away in the back area.
And on my ovulus, I got the word laid.
You just have to watch the STDs there, the spiritually transmitted STDs.
(13:53):
That was good. That was creative. We call her Cinnamon. It's Ray's ghost girlfriend from White Hill.
Cinnamon with an S. If you've never been to White Hill, definitely recommend it. Absolutely.
It was funny because for his first investigation, he was he was like completely spoiled.
Oh, yeah. One of our most active nights we've ever had.
(14:16):
And he's like, is it normally like this? And we're like, no,
it's normally not like this.
Yeah. But then after White Hill, we took him to Norwich State Hospital,
which you went to different extremes there.
You went from nice, safe and comfortable to unknown, threatening.
Yeah. because you don't know who's in the buildings because it's just you don't
(14:38):
know who so every building we had to go into we had to announce ourselves so
you're not in trouble just let us know that you're here and stuff like that,
Yeah, it was just one of them. Right. So going off of, you know,
from locations, what is your guys' favorite location that you've investigated at?
Well, I've only been on three.
(15:00):
But so far, Norwich is probably the wildest one. Like, well,
some of the stuff, well, from what happened.
So, yeah, I would say Norwich. That's going to be dropping this week.
So part one. Thursday at 7. Do you want to plug that real quick?
Yeah, Thursday at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, we will be live streaming our
(15:24):
first part of our Norwich trip.
We spent the whole weekend there, so it'll be two videos.
The first one is going to revolve around the orphanage and the Lippit building.
Brian, is that my video?
Yes. Yeah. Yeah, so it's a personal video to Nick about stuff that happens in
(15:45):
his past, and you'll see in the video it explains it all.
And I was kind of talking to you guys before this.
This video has been my absolute favorite video to edit, and I think that it's
the best work we've ever done.
And I know people kind of say that every time a new video comes out, but like,
(16:06):
I just hope everyone like just gives this video the time it deserves because
it's a story that's personal to Nick and you'll see it kind of develop throughout the video.
So pay attention to everything you're saying and it gets wild.
Wild yeah it really did and i'm not
(16:27):
saying that just because i want to views or clicks or anything it i
don't act out anywhere like any of
our videos from the beginning to right now i don't overreact
and i heard this stuff come through and
you know i was just like yep you're talking to me and
there's no doubt about it yeah and
i think the craziest part was when you told the story It was like no wind Like
(16:52):
it was just dead It was just humid And all of a sudden as soon as he's done
the story This huge wind just comes out of nowhere And that's the only wind
we had all night It was just one time And it was just It was crazy,
Yeah and we We taped that part On the second day Yeah,
Before or like after all this happened And so because I wanted Nick to you know.
(17:14):
Pretty much give everyone like a little background About what was happening Yeah.
So that was like, that was our second day. I agree with your next video.
Yeah. If your next video, isn't your best, you're not growing.
I think it also like going to kind of going off that, especially when you're
(17:36):
kind of Rob's here, ban them, ban them right now. Get them out.
What does he do? What does he do? The little triangle thing.
But uh anyways but i
think when it comes to like the views and everything especially when you're
(17:56):
just starting out and new like us the location definitely has a lot to do with
it so when when we go to like this haunted farmhouse that only like heather
katrina put me in that out.
But when we go to like a small place like that it doesn't generate as many views
(18:19):
as like say when we went to Trans-Allegheny,
just because the name carries weight.
Once you get bigger and you have your, hi, Emily. Hey, Emily.
And you have your audience, then you can kind of go to these smaller places
and still get the same amount of views.
So I remind them, don't take the views personal.
(18:42):
YouTube is cutthroat. Discoverability is very tough,
but that's why we like coming on to things like this
because we get to meet you guys and we get to interact with
the community and actually build a community for us
and like like come watch our videos and then that helps you guys out and so
it's it's all it's all a team effort yeah absolutely yeah yeah absolutely going
(19:06):
back to locations what are your two or your guys's favorite location you've
been to mine i i still Still say it. It's White Hill.
I love that. Absolutely love that place.
Going off of the 1700 views, just crying on my couch.
What Rob said has been on a tear lately and I am here for it. Yeah.
(19:30):
I love it.
Robbie rails. Robbie. Yeah. Robbie rails.
What about you, Ryan? Trans Allegheny. i
haven't i i'm telling you
and i like nick and i saw
(19:51):
it in person before we ever got to film there when we were heading to old hospital
on college hill i made him pull over as the passenger princess yeah but as you
are video and pictures do not do justice to what that place looks like in person,
It is a big, beautiful, intimidating building.
(20:15):
And then when you're inside, I hope you're in shape because Nick and I were
huffing wind to get to that fourth floor.
Yeah, we had to cut that out of the video because we were definitely shown that we are out of shape.
Yeah, and like what Emily just said in the comments, she's like,
trans is very quiet because you're split apart.
(20:36):
Part so you can go you can go with like 10 to 20 people and you will never hear them nope nice,
i'm not gonna lie this is making me nervous why well don't worry rob you can
put your nose in the hole right here now that's your favorite location what's
(20:57):
your your bucket list location?
There's so many. I think St. Albans.
Really? St. Albans for you? Well, it's either St. Albans or the Garnett House.
Yeah, I would have thought it would be Garnett House.
I don't even know what the Garnett House is. Look it up.
(21:19):
It's in Kansas. I don't like guests coming on my show and giving me homework, okay?
Well, that's what we're doing. We're learning. Make Ray do it.
I want to check out Crescent. Crescent, I've heard nothing but good things.
Writing this down now, Sierra.
Crescent, I heard... I'm going to forget.
Brent's is going to be the Crescent Sanatorium. Emily says my place is haunted
(21:44):
and she won't stay here anymore.
For anyone wondering, that is my little sister.
Apparently, there's a little ghost boy that lives in my apartment that follows me.
He never bothers me. I've never experienced him, but anytime Emily's here alone
watching my cats while I'm away doing something, he'll open doors and she can
(22:05):
hear him walking around.
What about a REM pod? Start a conversation. I don't do that in my home.
No, Ryan's not like me.
We had a Ouija board session to my house.
SB7 get out pendulums I mean we've done everything in my house so my house is definitely painted,
(22:31):
but that's why we do that at Nick's house and not Ryan's because Ryan lives
alone with his two cats yeah,
but um alright so we got Nick with Garnett Brent said Crescent,
mine would either be the goldfield hotel or waverly hills i've heard a lot of
(22:58):
good things about waverly,
And I always found it interesting with those bigger places like Trans-Allegheny when we were there.
Everyone knows that it's haunted. Like, that's not the question.
But you just have to be in the right place at the right time to catch the activity.
Compared to a place like White Hill Mansion where it's just like a house or
(23:19):
the Garnett House that we're going to be getting to eventually.
Where it's like, if something happens, you're probably around it and you're going to experience it.
Montana Prison. prison we haven't so we actually yeah rob you're gonna have to invite more people.
(23:39):
But speaking of prison i don't think we've done a prison yeah charge the ghost
rent i think he's too young that's what i've been told,
freeloader yeah,
but yeah waverly i've heard a lot of good things about waverly And we actually
haven't, going back to the whole prison thing, I don't think we've investigated
(24:00):
like a big penitentiary yet. No.
Like we have, we have Canberra County prison coming up.
So, I mean, like that's, it's not like as big as like West Virginia State Penitentiary
or something like that, but that'll be like our first. Well,
we did Burlington County.
That was a, that was a fun little prison. That is, that is a fun prison.
(24:22):
Have you ever been this year?
Burlington County, no. I would check that out. That's a cool place.
Make sure they remember that you're on the schedule and they don't start you an hour late.
Got it. Yeah, when we were there, they were supposed to be in at, I think, like 6 o'clock.
(24:43):
And they got there almost like 7 or 8 o'clock and they wanted to kick us out at 12.
But I'm like, well, you started an hour late, so can we stay an hour late?
So they let us, and thankfully, because at the end of the night, we got,
one of the jail cells were actually rattling and we heard people like screaming
in the hallway. It was pretty interesting.
(25:03):
Yeah. Yeah. That's when we locked Emily in the jail cell by herself.
She had to do the solo. Yeah. Her first solo.
How long did we post to go to Burlington County? But it, I don't think it ever happened.
The only jail that we've been to was old Licking County.
That's out in Newark, Ohio. And I would, if you guys want to make an Ohio trip,
(25:25):
I would recommend going to Licking County.
I didn't even know that was an employer. Ray and I are going back with our team
in December, and I have an experiment about.
Handcuffing one person on each of the four jail cell blocks.
(25:45):
Don't forget the key. Yeah. I am getting locked into the jail where I had a special experience.
I got locked in a body cooler. Yeah, old hospital.
Nick usually doesn't get like the scary solos but I give him credit for that
one that one was weird that was eerie,
(26:08):
so let's kind of leads me into my next question is there a place that you wouldn't go no no not really,
well I mean we can't really say that because we haven't really got anything
that really scary or like as they would say like dangerous,
so I mean like going to a place like the Garnett house you know places where
(26:32):
they have actually had like exorcism stuff like that you know,
those places we haven't been to yet so that would change our you know perspective
on that answer if anything but as of right now nothing,
we're supposed to right right at some point November 3rd there it is pins there
while you're there you should look into Wildwood Sanitarium that's 30 minutes away in Salamanca.
(27:01):
I've had a doll fly off the shelf at me in the doll room there.
My whole thought process around that is that's kind of what we're...
That's not kind of. That's exactly what we're there for.
So that's why I wouldn't say that I wouldn't go to any specific place. Maybe.
(27:27):
Rob but yeah that's i'm
we're we're there to document activity so and
my my rule nick and brent know it is i don't care what happens just film it
just document it since you guys are going to hinsdale should i uh tell them
about what's in the walls go ahead installation installation Isolation.
(27:54):
Cotton candy?
Go for it if you guys hear
anything in the walls it may not be paranormal just
to give you a heads up on that one oh yeah or are some
animals that may live in the walls that scared the shit out of me and and that's
terrifying and that's one thing i love about having the background that the
(28:17):
three of us have so with us doing new construction and going into places that
we have to you know either or picked out walls and stuff like that.
So we know the sounds of the way building moves, freaking pop and everything.
So we debunk a lot of that stuff immediately just by our backgrounds. Yeah.
(28:39):
The crazy thing with this was it sounded like that it started underneath of the bed.
It did. And I was sitting on the bed.
I was terrified. Yeah. It literally felt like the grudge was coming out from underneath the bed.
And I was in Mary's room and all of a sudden it went from underneath the bed
where she was to inside Mary's room with me.
(29:04):
I was like, come out here. Something's underneath the bed. I need somebody to look.
Nobody check. I was not getting off the bed.
No, I put my feet on the floor. Nope. I'm trying.
I'm trying to figure out for since we like we always do.
One person has to do a solo i'm trying
(29:26):
to figure out do we send them to the woods that are
probably more haunted than the house or do
we keep them in the house by themselves see the problem we had with hinsdale
and sierra's been there more than me but the second time that she was there
it was pouring so hard that we
(29:50):
couldn't even go and do any investigations Radiation's out in the woods.
It sucks. That's like half of it.
Did they have the giving tree there and everything? Yeah, and we wanted to go
out there, but it rained all night. It poured all night.
So Wade has a good love for the Hinsdale house.
(30:11):
All right. Well, that's where the soul is. If you want to ask questions about
the Hinsdale house, this is your guy. Wow.
But the one thing that I wanted to do that I couldn't do because of the rain
is they have kayak, either a kayak or canoe in the garage that you can use.
And I wanted to sit in that in the middle of the ponds With a REM pod a couple
(30:34):
pieces of equipment And just vibe in the pond because there's a little there's
some stories Involving the pond as well.
Imagine if you tipped over just lost like all your foot mask There is a That's why i'd be terrible.
There's a one person I believe it's green sit on top kayak that they give you the keys to.
(30:58):
It's right out in the garage, right outside the Henzo house that you can take
out, load it off the dock, and you can go into the middle of the pond.
The way I've been gaining weight lately, I ain't sitting on no kayak.
I would, but the thing, because my brain does crazy things to me,
when I was thinking about doing this, the only thing I could think about was
(31:18):
these ghostly hands coming up out of the pond to suck me in.
And I told Ray, I'm like, Like, if that happens, be ready to catch the camera.
Because, like you said, you know, you don't care what happens as long as it's on camera.
Like, I tell that to Ray all the time. Like, Ray, you know, in a previous episode,
way back when we first started, talked about going up and touching Bigfoot's
(31:40):
titties. And I was like, as long as you have it on recording, by all means.
That would probably be a first. Right.
That's going to hold our camera steady. He would also be the first person to get punched by Bigfoot.
And then what I'm going to do is when his face lands and hits the ground,
I'm going to make a cast of his face and then auction that off.
(32:04):
The first face cast ever. Face cast. Yes. That's funny.
Ray, do you have any questions or do you want me to just keep popping off?
Just keep popping off. You're doing a great job. Ray's off tonight.
He doesn't get a day off what are you talking just vibe in the night remember
(32:26):
director i am i am so when you guys are doing these investigations right what's
your favorite piece of equipment to use while investigating,
It would have sounded weird. Spirit Talker. Yeah, I like that one.
It's weird. I know a lot of people don't like using the apps because they say,
(32:48):
like, you know, it eventually... It's a word generator.
But I do get that, and I understand that is a possibility.
But we've gotten evidence off of that that it has to be real in some aspects.
Because, I mean... If it is a word generator, I've never been cursed out using
(33:13):
the F word and an exclamation point.
That was weird. I've never heard that app ever say that to anyone.
Yeah. I've watched other people's videos. People use it. Never heard that.
And then I've gotten responses like asking at the farmhouse,
a girl, she took her own life and her name was Ginger.
(33:35):
And I'm asking questions like who's who's here with me and her name actually
came through spirit talker and I thought it was at the description like saying
that she was a redhead so I just kind of blew it off but me not knowing the
history I didn't put two and two together until Ryan was editing it and then
later on that not ability of that happening,
(33:55):
And that's why I said, so I understand there is a bit of skepticism with it,
but I've gotten too much concrete evidence with it to really not use it.
You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Right.
And anyway, it's just one of those things that you could just carry around in
your hand when you're walking the hallways just to have something keep going
just to make the video have some filler.
(34:18):
And, you know, it's enough to fill in some empty spots.
Have you guys ever used Phasma box before We've had Bianca yeah Bianca was using
It at the Grand Midway Hotel My favorite Leader is Sarah,
(34:38):
Bianca Is that medium Bianca Yeah
She was working with
us At Sweet Springs and The Grand Midway Hotel Sweet Springs is on my list we're
going next year to see her and we'll be seeing her at warren's i had a reading
from her in may and it uh totally blew me away yeah she's done she's done some
(35:01):
personal stuff for my family,
and she's been like correct which was
stuff that she would have never known wow yeah
and i've been friends with ryan and his family for
years you know i've heard this story and
they were telling me all the stuff they found out and it was amazing then because
(35:21):
unfortunately she actually somewhat predicted ryan's dog passing away which
was really sad but it's still amazing to witness somebody having power like
that yeah wow yeah so if she tells you something.
Well it's like it's like do you want to do you not want to know because you
know careful what you wish for but no she's she's great yeah,
(35:47):
See, I really enjoy Fathombox. Again, people have controversy over it because
it is a program on your computer and stuff.
But I enjoy Estes Sessions a lot.
I do Estes Sessions a lot. And we have gotten pretty crazy responses.
(36:09):
One of the things... Oh, go ahead.
One of the things that blows me away with Fathombox is the last thing,
is that we have all bought versions of it with our own serials and have gotten
same results, same names,
different answers that all tie in together.
And they're all on different computers. Yeah, I always thought that was the best evidence.
(36:36):
And we like to put that stuff in our video is when we're using different pieces
of equipment that don't run off of the same thing. So like, like our music box,
yeah, our music box and dead bell.
So dead bell is EMF fluctuation or touch.
And the music box is motion with temperature.
(36:59):
So when you can get those two pieces of equipment, like correlating with each
other, you're proving intelligence.
Therefore it's, I guess you could say less of a chance of it being like a false positive. Right.
For for evidence wise but just with
anything like you're talking we're talking like skepticism between
(37:22):
like spirit talker and phasma box the easiest
thing to manipulate that i think a lot of
people need to understand is a rem pod yep text messages
radio like when you hit the
call button make them go crazy even car
radios that pass by like it can make
them go off or whatever so we try to take equipment
(37:46):
are just tools and they need to be used that way
not everything that happens with them and not
everything you experience is paranormal so you have to try to use science and
logic understand your equipment how it works i think lauren lauren's that's
like lauren's favorite or like famous saying lauren uh hucklison is like how
(38:07):
do you know it works if you You don't know how it works. Yeah.
And so I've noticed that because even when I was doing the solo at the Shanley hotel, um.
I had the dead bell out in the hallway. And when it goes off,
you know, it sends chills through your body because of that, just that ding.
(38:28):
But I kept getting it over and over in a, like a two minute pattern that,
you know, I was like, okay, this is, something's going on.
There's some fluctuation nearby that's setting this thing off.
So eventually it just killed the reaction. It's like, oh, there it goes again. Here it goes again.
(38:49):
Dinger. her yep dinger what if
it was like a ghost just sitting there on the bell like hitting it
like why won't you pay attention nick's just
like so our friend
angela had a question she and
her daughter were at an event recently with my team and she wants to know what's
(39:10):
the best piece of equipment for to purchase for a curious team spirit talker
on your face so you can spirit NerdTalker is a cheap and inexpensive.
It's only $4.99 on the app stores on your phone, either Android or iPhone. GhostTube?
(39:32):
GhostTube Box is really good. That one you can use for free for a little while,
and then it runs out of data, your daily limit data for the app.
That one's pretty good. It gives you an SP7-style...
Like a spirit box.
Or just getting it at a good stable too. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
(39:56):
That or the SP7, just getting an SP7. Yeah, it doesn't have to be an expensive
thing to do, even though it is an expensive thing to do.
When you get to a certain level, for us, content creation, you have to put in
(40:16):
the cameras, make sure that's good.
Good audio. you need like all the stuff like they see on tv people recognize
you know but when we started out we were what it was an 80 camera a couple cat
balls a k2 and a rem pod and a drink.
But definitely for curiosity if you
(40:37):
really want to get out there do public events public
haunts and don't do private the money's
great you know to rent out a building and everything thing but you
can go to some of these private events and go with a
group they have equipment to rent and you
know people there could show you how to use it or they can
(40:58):
kind of tell you what to stay away from and you know the things that can cause
these devices to go off so i would recommend going to a public home if you have
the chance yeah and kind of go off of that like you don't You don't need all
this expensive equipment to be a paranormal investigator.
Because in actuality and in all reality, the best piece of equipment you can have is yourself.
(41:25):
Correct. And we say that all the time.
Rob says, and they have Kool-Aid at Get Haunted events.
Yes, he does. Yes, he does. They're going to Kool-Aid at the Soiree.
Are you guys going to the Soiree? Yeah. Of course. Of course.
Well, I will see you there, for sure. Yeah, Rob brings different sugar.
(41:48):
Rob is saying Ray hit, and the only reason I'm saying this is I've seen it a
couple times, hit Sierra's audio settings and boost her gain a tad.
I just did it on my end, and it's all the way up on my end.
Rob's speaking my language right now with the audio settings.
(42:09):
I have no idea. Well now Ray has muted himself,
He's playing with audio I saw the mute symbol That's the only reason I'm doing that,
Pac-Man Paranormal is going to be there too All the cool people are going I'm
so excited for that event Yeah So am I Yeah tell them about Brent Yeah I used
(42:35):
to work On the Battleship New Jersey Take demo in the Teak Decks,
and putting the new ones in. I did that for about a year and a half.
I don't think it's haunted. I've been there all year round and I've never had...
I think the scariest jump scare I had was walking down this one hallway in this
guest room and then they have this stand-up person and a fake little flat paper picture like this.
(43:01):
And I turn and every once in a while it gets me in the morning.
I go, what the fuck is that?
Are you going to be there? Yeah. Okay, so what I'm going to do is,
when I'm there, we're going to go stand on top of the deck, and I'm going to
be like, if this place is haunted, can you please throw Brent overboard?
And if a ghost picks you up and throws you overboard, would you believe that it's haunted?
(43:24):
I would probably have to, or I'll do it myself.
So, Brent, yeah, Rob is saying the battleship New Jersey is haunted.
Which I believe it is. Oh, yeah. It has to be.
I've never personally experienced it there the year I've been there, working there.
(43:49):
Well, also the thing, too, is that you probably weren't looking out for it.
So now that you're actually in a field looking for it, you might actually notice
it now more than you did a year ago.
See, you got to think there's I'm a true believer that there's paranormal activity
happening around us all the time.
Yep. It's just whether or not we're meant to see it and whether or not we're
(44:12):
open and willing to see it. Yeah.
And that's definitely a true case because, I mean, look at kids.
I mean, when they're not told to, you know, shut that off, they say,
you know, imaginary friends and stuff like that.
And then when you get older you don't seem to notice it anymore because you're told to like,
that's all fake that's made up or your mind doesn't process that anymore right
(44:37):
because you get struck with the real world and no it's pretty cool it's not
like rainbows and unicorns anymore,
and also remember that Brent did the decks so if anyone like falls or anything
because of uneven wood it's Brent's fault not my fault
So if somebody goes overboard, it's not because I threw them overboard,
(44:59):
it's because the floor's got it.
They really cheaped on the teak decking.
Not a project. Not the good stuff.
Emily said they probably think you're a ghost. Probably.
What's up? So, kind of a closing question a little bit.
(45:21):
What is the ultimate goal for paranormal theory?
Well for me i feel like i just want to
have everyone see it you know
and recognize and turn people into believers yeah my my goal is to get people
out there to open their mind to the possibility of you know more things after
(45:46):
death you know it's not the end and that,
That if you are a bad person in life, you will be a bad person after.
So you notice that not everything's a demon. Like, it's not.
You're less than 1%. So like I said, if you're a bad person in real life,
you're going to be a bad person in death.
(46:08):
Yeah. Right. Just because you're a bad person in death doesn't make you a demon. Correct. Correct.
That around very loosely you see a lot of it i think that's a i think that's
a loaded question especially for me because like i put all the time into the
videos and everything to edit them,
so obviously the end goal is i want people to watch our content and like our content obviously.
(46:37):
Now, if we can get it to where YouTube is paying us to go to these investigations
and for this equipment and our travel,
then I would say that would be my end goal content-wise.
Because we're not pocketing any money.
(46:57):
Any kind of money that we get from YouTube, whatever, that doesn't go into our
pockets. That goes right back into the content that you guys watch.
So when I say like, like the videos and comment on the videos,
there's a reason for that because of the whole YouTube algorithm.
And if you don't spend hours on YouTube, you're never going to understand.
I, there's parts of the algorithm I still don't understand, but that,
(47:20):
that would, that would be the end goal is like, I want to, I know where con
and I'm going to kind of, you know, stroke our ego a little here,
but I know our content's good.
We're we're honest we're trustworthy i think we're we're friendly we work well with each other,
and i know what our content is is capable
(47:41):
of so i yeah i want the recognition we wouldn't be posting our videos to youtube
if you know we were just like oh i don't care who watches it like no like yeah
right yeah i want this stuff to be good i want to be known as like the people
from paranormal theory like did you see the new paranormal theory video,
and i in in my mindset like like i was telling nick that i'm drawing a like.
(48:07):
That 100,000 subscriber plaque that YouTube gives you and putting it up on my wall.
Because like, in my mind, like we already have that. We just haven't worked
hard enough to get it yet.
And it's a good mindset to have. If someone else can do it, why not us?
And that's how I want, that's how everyone should think.
These are the people that do this stuff. And like, they're, oh, thanks Rob.
(48:27):
You already made it. The cult leader recognizes you. You're done. You already made it.
But, you know, and what he's saying, like manifest it.
And, you know, there's the, the people that are on TV or, you know,
that have like a million subscribers, whatever.
(48:48):
They're, they're not like super powered people or something.
They're ordinary people who worked hard, found their audience and put out good
content. So that's, that's what I want us to do.
I like that. I like that. We kind of had two of the same question here. year.
Damien wants to know, if you work with a bad spirit long enough,
(49:09):
do you think you can change it? No.
No. I think it's just, it's always been that way for, we don't even know how long it's been on that.
We just think, I don't know. I just think if it's been there for how long, I think it can change.
I can tell you it doesn't. And I just don't think that we as human beings are
capable of one, being able to change something into actually even fully understanding it.
(49:38):
Because I've said this numerous times, there are no facts in the paranormal.
So if someone tells you they're an expert in the field in the paranormal,
they're lying to you. There's no experts.
There's experienced people. But every day we should be learning from each other
in different ways to go about it.
And I think it's just like a journey.
Like you're never going to fully understand what is going on,
(50:00):
but it's fun to try to understand it.
And that's what I enjoy with like our name like from when we switched it that's
kind of where the name came from is because every single time we did an investigation
we always came up with more theories than answers so that's why we went with the name that we have,
like Ryan said there is no fact so you,
(50:23):
weren't there when somebody passed away so it's all speculation,
right it's all theories.
Rob says here's what I will say about Paranormal Theory I met them at the White
Hill Paracon had to meet them for some reason I'll take credit for that one,
yeah because you like Nick's beard yep I'll take credit for that has something to do with facial hair,
(50:47):
I'm telling you it's always the men with the beards yep I
have one last question for you guys sure if you could give any piece of advice
to anybody Anybody looking to start a YouTube channel like you guys have to
come into the paranormal field and do their own investigating, their own team?
(51:08):
What piece of advice would you give to those people?
Be honest to yourself and what you experience and don't let anybody tell you that you're wrong.
And the reason why I'm saying that is because there was always a troll out there.
There was always somebody who's going to try to debunk what you're doing.
(51:29):
And believe me, even every team, every person, we all try to debunk something
because we've been there, we know, so we're constantly looking for that.
Verification that it really did happen but if you witnessed it and you're telling
your story and you can definitely tell what somebody's making it up versus when they're true about it.
(51:52):
What about you what about you also good chemistry i mean because if you're if
you're going to be doing all these paranormal investigations you're going to
be on the road for hours with the same people every time pretty much every weekend
or whenever you get five six hours there five six six hours back,
spend the night, you know, so make sure it's good chemistry, good people.
(52:12):
And no, that's not cheap.
And trustworthy too. Only because just saying like with us going from Norwich,
everybody's okay around each other, you know, when the lights are on and everything,
but when you're in the dark, in the unknown and impossible danger,
how quick can somebody be with you and protect and stand with you and not bail
(52:36):
on you when it needs to be?
That makes a difference because like i trust these guys
with my life you know from driving investigating day
to day you know so you you
need that yeah yeah absolutely i think that's really important you know surround
yourself with good people that'll have your back when you need it absolutely
(52:56):
and so if you're if you're going to want to create content the biggest piece
of advice I would say is one,
just, just start, just start doing it.
YouTube is a great teacher. Any questions that you have, you can figure it out
on YouTube. That's how I taught myself how to edit.
(53:18):
Don't get attached to your videos. As a person who is editing it, you put out, you know,
25, 30 hours into this video, and then you don't get the views that you thought
you were going to get and then you get discouraged and like quit or like start
questioning yourself and,
all that kind of stuff so i would say just don't get personally attached to
(53:40):
your videos it's not a personal attack that people aren't watching it it's just algorithm based and,
sometimes you're you every video you're going to get better if you're serious
about this every video is going to get better so you're going to get the views.
It absolutely oh another super
(54:00):
important thing i'm sorry he and
sierra had two great concepts to
add to that but go ahead sierra or ryan
he was talking first so i just wanted to
add this because i know like what has
been going on in like the whole get haunted scene lately
(54:21):
why rob has been i guess using
his nose extra lately just kidding by the way are we are we allowed to say a
curse word on this show absolutely okay there there seems to be i guess would
(54:43):
you consider it bullying.
Or just it's just like straight up harassment i was gonna come out more like
straight up because us like me so let let me make this clear this is coming
from paranormal theory it's not coming from sierra or ray so if anyone makes
a clip of this this is this is me saying it,
(55:03):
shut up you bitches i can't believe the drama that happens in the paranormal
community and it goes back it ties into the content because you're go you're
you're gonna have people that do this For whatever reason,
I always said if you're putting out good content that's worthy of it even being known,
(55:24):
there's always going to be people that are saying stupid shit or doing stupid
shit to try to knock you down a few pegs.
That was just like last week on one of our episodes.
Yeah. We had somebody last week that
I should have blocked, but for future references, they will be blocked.
(55:45):
And we've known Rob and Sarah for, you know, how long now, Nick, like a couple of months.
It's like probably coming up five, six months or whatever. Yeah.
So almost half a year that we've, we've known
Rob and Sarah and they have been the most helpful to
us out of anybody so you got
(56:05):
you got these these fat virgin
bitches that are just saying random shit
about rob and sarah that aren't true and like
i said this is coming from me but this is
the attitude we have to have towards some of these people
because if you don't stand up to bullies then they're
just going to keep doing the same thing so like stand up
(56:27):
for yourself like have respect and all
that kind of stuff and we're friendly me nick
and brent and and this whole community is extremely
friendly but there's a lot of people who
i guess maybe are a little afraid to speak
up when people say stuff but i'm just letting it be known right now that like
(56:48):
paranormal theory we are not scared to say anything yeah and we stand with you
guys to get haunted yeah absolutely And so do we Our motto is Stay kind,
be humble But take no shit And that's two of the concepts That me and Sierra hold Be humble Have fun.
(57:12):
Yeah it's supposed to be fun guys Have fun.
And that's what it is There's enough room here for all of us That's the thing
There's enough room for all of us There is no point
they're people are just big mad for no
reason like i have known sarah and
rob for a while now and they
(57:33):
are one of the most humble caring
kind and fantastic people i've ever
met in my entire life and i have so much love and respect for
both of them yeah and that's why we have a platform
to be on right right yeah so like you get you you have to you have to respect
the work and like you know they put together like something special we we wouldn't
(57:57):
be putting our name on it and obviously saying things that we're saying right
now if we didn't believe in it,
Why can't we all just get along? You know what the weirdest thing about all paranormal drama is?
We're all a bunch of weirdos. Why is like... Is there supposed to be levels to how weird we are?
(58:22):
Levels? There's levels. I just found it weird.
There should be no levels. There's no more ladders to climb.
No one's going to be the next ghost hunters.
Stop. stop like there's plenty of locations for
everyone to investigate you can investigate over here i can
investigate over here and we don't have to fucking see each other so
like stop this isn't high school this isn't middle school like just stop it's
(58:46):
not that hard it is not that hard it is sad when there are grown-ass adults
that are well older than me that are acting like children that's where i mean
like that let's kind of call it how it is though that that seems to be where it stems from,
is the the older og paranormal like
people which like that's
(59:09):
great like i'm so happy and all that
kind of stuff that like you've done this all your life and all that but it seems
to be like almost like a gatekeeping thing to where it's like us is like a younger
generation that are coming in like we're the reason this community is still
going to be around after you yeah you You would think that the older generation would,
(59:31):
I mean, it's just like being in the field, a type of job or something, teach us the ropes.
Yeah. Teach us what you know.
And then us as the younger generation, we're going to come up with our own ideas
to help improve upon the field. Yeah.
(59:51):
And then be able to pass what they have taught us and what we found out on our
own to the next generation because we're not going to be here forever there's
going to be some other kid.
Now that's going to end up taking over our spots because we'll be evidence one
day there is no ending yeah right yeah we'll be evidence one day it's true yeah
(01:00:13):
that's how i like to think about So many people.
I already have plans. I'm going to mess with so many people when I'm done. I'm slamming doors.
Brent's going to hide the batteries to the remote. He's going to be a petty ghost.
I'm going to steal the toilet paper from bathrooms so every time someone goes
(01:00:36):
to sit down to take a shit, they ain't going to have no toilet paper. That's the worst.
Brian tried to send a ghost to me when I was in the bathroom.
At the hotel? Yeah. Like, go touch his butt.
I cannot with this man. Yeah. I cannot with this man.
(01:00:58):
Oh, man. Yeah, but most vulnerable. I'm sitting there getting ghosts thrown
at me. I'm like, thanks, man.
There's so many times where we're in locations and Ray can attest to this.
I'm like, hey, if there's someone here, can you please throw me across the room?
So many times. I'm waiting for the deal that happens.
Every time. Every time. Waiting.
It'll happen when the camera's not on. Yeah. It is. Yeah. Stop.
(01:01:22):
Yeah. That'd be... It has to be on camera, though.
But on that note, do you guys want to let everyone know where they can find
you, socials, stuff like that?
Yes. So YouTube, it's probably easier to find us as like paranormal underscore theory.
We seem to pop up first when you add the underscore.
(01:01:46):
Instagram is paranormal.theory. Facebook is paranormal theory.
And TikTok is Paranormal Theory.
Also, this Thursday, 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, our first video of our Norwich trip comes out.
It's going to revolve around the orphanage and a return to the Lippitt Building.
(01:02:07):
And Nick's pass. And Nick's pass. It's a very personal video for Nick.
And in my opinion, it is our best work that we've ever put out.
I think you guys are really going to enjoy this video.
And I just hope that people, you know, give it the fair shake that this video
deserves because it's going to tell a story.
(01:02:28):
That's something we're trying to, as a team, get better at is telling a story.
But it's a personal story to Nick. And you have to watch the full video to kind
of understand what is going on that whole time that we're there.
So 7 p.m. and we're back to a live premiere. So we will be watching it with you Thursday at 7.
So if you've got any questions you can ask me while I'm there.
(01:02:52):
I'm so excited. I will be working, but you best believe as soon as I'm off work,
I won't put it on. I'll watch it.
Oh, and on the actual video guys, like and comment on the actual video,
not just our live premiere.
The reason for that, it gets the video out there in the algorithm.
So more people can see it, more views, all that kind of stuff. Great.
(01:03:14):
And hit the notification bell so you guys are reminded when we post videos every two weeks.
Thank you for saying that. I always forget to mention that. Just a little announcement
from Miss Denise to remind me.
Anyone that buys a screening of the It's Coming documentary that's coming out
for the Q&A with Rob and Sarah by midnight Thursday gets entered into a drawing
(01:03:34):
to win a night at the real Ditto house. Oh.
I'm excited to see that. Yeah, it's going to be neat.
That looks like a really cool documentary yeah
yeah absolutely absolutely but on
that note i want to thank all three of you for coming
on to the show and letting me ask you a million questions and pick your brain
(01:03:58):
thank you for having us yeah thank you has it been awesome yeah and you know
when you guys get like big big time like you know project for your level like
just don't forget about me, okay? That's all I'm saying.
We will always remember where we come from. There's no doubt about it.
And anytime you guys want to go to Indiana State, let a girl know.
(01:04:20):
Let us know. I'm riding with you guys if Nick's not going.
You're good to go there without me.
It's 2025, man. As long as we get to listen to Bad Omens and Falling in Reverse
and all those good bands, I am down.
She can come. Yeah, so Nick's going now. Yep, he can come.
(01:04:42):
Listen it'll be a great time but i really i
really want to get to indiana state yeah and if it's
next year we have time to plan oh yeah oh yeah
paranormal's only three hours from indiana state it could be a big family reunion
that place that place is so big that like you could have all these people here
and you wouldn't even know isn't that where uh that video that you showed me
(01:05:04):
where that guy fake passed out at what what uh hold on wait yes Yes, it was ISS.
But there's also Bigfoot activity in the woods outside of ISS.
So I need to investigate ISS.
Well, I've heard Rob is like a Bigfoot guy now.
I don't know. I've seen him talking in a couple of videos about Bigfoot or whatever,
(01:05:26):
and he just seems to be like this Bigfoot fanatic.
Yeah, I think he just wakes up and looks at his feet all day then.
That's probably what it is. It'll just be Rob will be there,
and he'll see Bigfoot, but it's actually just Nick shirtless in the woods. Yep.
Big socks. Big socks. Big socks.
(01:05:50):
But again, thank you guys for coming on. We really appreciate you,
and we are definitely going to have to do this again sometime.
Hell yeah. Anytime you guys want to share.
So, yeah. Everybody, check out their socials. YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook.
Stay in the know of what paranormal theory is up to.
(01:06:13):
And, yeah. So, we are going to bid you guys a little farewell.
We are going to throw you into the dungeon and do our little outro.
Thanks for tuning in, guys. Yep, thank you.
Music.
