(00:11):
So we were dating probably like six or seven months and Ryan told me about breathwork.
Like I had moved here from the Midwest.
So I had, I was like, what, what's breathwork?
And then when he explained it, I'm like, that doesn't even just being from where I was, Iwas like, that doesn't even make sense to me.
You're just breathing and it's somehow like altering.
don't know.
Like I couldn't even understand it.

(00:32):
And then also I saw videos of people screaming and I'm like more sensitive.
So I'm like, no, thank you.
Like I don't, I do not want that.
And then also.
It seems super vulnerable.
Like you're just laying there breathing, going into this deep state of healing orreflection, whatever it is for you personally.
was just like to do that in a room full of people and then to have someone guiding you.

(00:53):
And then just also to, you really have to trust the person guiding you cause you're, youknow, and what would you say?
Like a different state of consciousness.
And so like daily breath work, you know, like all that stuff coming up.
Cause I remember the first year of breath work.
Every time I would do breath work, I would ball my eyes out.

(01:15):
And it took like a year of doing it regularly until I finally felt joy and relief.
I didn't cry one single the whole time.
And I was like, came out of it.
And I was like, wait, am I okay?
I didn't cry.
Like that was amazing.
But I had that much stuff built up since I was a kid that I needed like a year of crying.
And that's why I tell women when they're like,
hard on themselves during class or after they're super emotional and they were expectingto feel something different.

(01:40):
And I'm just like, you need to hold yourself with so much compassion and grace right now, because like you can't give up on yourself.
Like this is prime precious moments that you just need to pour the love in and allowyourself.
And was like, that was so dark and depressing to me that I was like, kind of turned backto religion, but I grew up Christian and I was like, I don't know about this.

(02:07):
Like, I don't believe it.
And then I started taking all these world religion classes in college, studying Buddhism,Hinduism, Taoism, and of approaching spirituality from that lens and perspective.
And I was trying meditation and I was like learning it, but I didn't feel like I wasgetting this.
big connection with the divine that I was looking for.

(02:29):
And then when I finally did try breath work, was just light, light bulb went off, big, profound experience.
Finally felt like I saw God and you know, that, that's what like felt like it gave me theanswer after I searching for so long to like, okay, this is it.
So that was, it was pretty cool.

(02:52):
I feel like people now aren't okay with like settling with how they feel.
You maybe have a desire that you don't know you have.
It's like this hunger inside of you or you realize like the way you act outwardly or feelinwardly, you want to feel released from that.
And so I think people are more curious about healing.
Like we all say healing, but whatever that means for you, like more people are doingbreath work, meditating, doing yoga, like trying all the things.

(03:18):
Ayahuasca, trying everything because we like,
want, I don't want to say the word fix ourselves, but like we want to heal ourselves.
We, we aren't okay with maybe what our grandparents bury or the way that they lived.
And I love my grandparents deeply, but you know, it's just even your relationships, likewe crave deeper relationships.
I just think as a collective, I will say people crave deeper things now.

(03:48):
I always tell the women like any restrictions we put on ourselves like during this classlike let's just let them all go like what does that feel like to have no rules you know or
at least to not care about the rules and who created the rules like some person that wedon't even know years and years ago and now we live by those every day.

(04:12):
It's time to break shit.
Yeah, that's what I like to do.
Yeah, if the rule doesn't make sense to you, ignore it.
That's my philosophy.
oh
Whenever somebody says something, I'm like, says who?
Yeah.
and it's a healing process, Like healing hurts, like physical, mental, emotional, whateverit may be when you actually, especially at the beginning of the healing process, that's

(04:39):
where most of the pain is.
but some of the people who have been with us a really long time, the course of the wholelifespan of Unearth Your Soul, we have more than one person that is now like off their
antidepressant meds, because they were just able to get into this state where they didn'tneed them anymore.

(05:04):
So like multiple people off medications and not just like, I feel better right now.
I'm going to stop my medications.
Like they did it in a safe way, but
Over the course of a year and a half, they are now off of their medications.
Some of them no longer need to go to therapy.
or they get like even more powerful results from their therapy because like it just reallyincreases and amplifies the results they're getting in.

(05:30):
We actually had someone share with us that they're able to access parts of them, likeduring parts work therapy, they're able to access parts that they weren't able to access
before breath work.

(06:38):
This has been a Shut Up production.
