Jo Lernout en Pol Hauspie begonnen in 1987 met een bedrijf in spraaktechnologie. Paul was boekhouder, terwijl Lernout computers verkocht. Samen hadden ze de visie om computers met de stem te laten bedienen.
Het bedrijf was gespecialiseerd in de ontwikkeling van spraakherkenning, spraaksynthese en spraakcompressie. Eind 1995 ging het bedrijf naar de NASDAQ en werd daarmee het eerste Belgische bedrijf op deze technologiebeurs. In de jaren daarna nam Lernout & Hauspie verschillende verwante bedrijven over.
Het bedrijf bleef in de daaropvolgende jaren groeien. The sky was the limit, tot het bedrijf in 2000 in opspraak kwam. De tragedie die volgde staat op het netvlies van alle Vlamingen gebrand.
In deze vierde aflevering, een bijzondere bonustrack, bracht Summ'it Jo na 25 jaar terug naar Flanders Language Valley. Samen met Lennart Creël besprak Jo de belangrijkste momenten uit het verhaal voor een live publiek. Verder kreeg Jo ook de kans om bepaalde uitspraken van getuigen in de podcastreeks te weerleggen.
