In this enlightening episode, we delve into the concept of the emotional wave and its impact on business and energy sustainability. Inspired by a thought-provoking post from David Bedrick, we explore how creative and highly sensitive individuals can reframe their understanding of emotional fluctuations. Rather than viewing these waves as obstacles, we discuss how accepting and harmonizing with them can lead to a more sustainable and fulfilling business life.

We share personal experiences and insights on how to navigate the highs and lows of energy cycles without self-judgment. By embracing the natural ebb and flow of emotions, we discover new ways to support our unique needs and create a business environment that thrives on these dynamic energy patterns.

Join the conversation and reflect on your own experiences with the emotional wave. Have you found a way to harmonize with your energy cycles? How do you relate to the idea of balancing versus unshaming? Your insights and stories are welcomed as we collectively seek a path to peace and sustainability in our professional lives.

(00:00):
This has been a really big problem for me, I think, for a very long time,
and especially translates into business and energy sustainability in business.
I'm talking about the wave of energy.
I don't know if you're familiar with human design, when they talk about the
sacral, the response, and there's one that is emotional and that there is a wave of emotion.

(00:25):
I always associated this wave with that lasts for a few hours or maybe a day,
but I never fully seen that actually in real action.
This emotional wave for me can last even weeks or months.
Until I read this post

(00:48):
from David Bedrick the other day that really made me think about it and it's
helping me reframing how I see this wave and how I relate with that.
How I can start accepting that rather than seeing it as an obstacle or something

(01:11):
that I need to pathologize or that there is something wrong with it.
And I wonder if you feel the same, because I bet that there are a lot of creative types,
spiritually curious, or people who don't really fit in one box,
like the shapeshifters and all these kind of highly sensitive people who may

(01:39):
be going through this kind of thing,
feeling that there is something wrong with them that they need to change and
that is preventing them from having a sustainable business because they go through this.
Let me read it to you and see what you think on this because it's going to change your mind, I hope.

(02:03):
So David Bedrick says, I'm really bothered by the idea that people ought to be balanced.
That's because many people are creative types, so their energy comes in big
spurts, and it drops down into rest.
And I see myself in this so much.

(02:26):
Many people, he continues, have energy like a wave.
It comes in a big arc, and it goes up, and then it goes down.
Both of those creative
projects and those arcs can happen over
days or weeks or even months of high
energy and months of low energy and I am so like that I feel so thin right now

(02:55):
if you pathologize that think something
is wrong with me and I need to be regulated I need to be be balanced,
the person is going to injure themselves to go against their own nature.
And I have been doing this so much that it really prevents me from having a sustainable.

(03:18):
Relationship with my business because I feel that there is something wrong when
I want, when I need, when I actually drop into this hermit spaces of silence.
And we could argue that is the void, but he calls them rest.

(03:39):
And second, he says, I can't tell you how many times I worked with somebody
who said they need to be balanced and they are unbalanced.
And I say, what is like Like when you are unbalanced, that's a question they're not asking.
And they say, well, I'm angry or I'm down or I'm anxious or I'm intense.

(04:03):
And those are always energies that they don't know how to get along with.
They're outside of their comfort zone, and what they need is some unshaming
and round that, not to be balanced.
And I feel so freaking liberated
by reading this and by knowing that I can start playing with the idea that I

(04:34):
can be supported and I can create a business that is tailor-made to my needs first.
And that includes this amazing wave that brings so much in each of those iterations,
either the high or the low or rest,

(04:56):
that getting kind of excited.
Like you can also be in harmony no matter what in that arc you are in or experiencing.
And that brings me so much peace at this time.

(05:16):
So I wonder, what is your experience? Do you have the wave?
How do you relate with it? Do you actually feel that it's an obstacle or did
you find a way that actually works for you?
Just please do let me know because I would love to have this conversation.
