A quick episode detailing my experiences at music journalism camp! I am never going back there again.
The original title being, “I Hate Essays,” this episode was supposed to be about podcast writing and how it connects to essay writing, which I abhor. But somewhere along the way, I started rambling, and I found myself unable to stop. Now this episode is more like one long rambling session about authenticity (whatever that even means), with the original script simply scattered throughout.
Eating paper! Memorizing religious texts! Stealing hair from strangers and gluing it onto your head! These are just a few of the hundred things you can do instead of scrolling on social media. It's time to reclaim your life!
Allons-y! In this episode, an uneducated teenager who's only watched two seasons of Doctor Who (and who doesn't even know what a Weeping Angel is, poor thing!) will try to talk about it for half an hour.
DID YOU REMEMBER?
Also, if Autumn's Audacity bears little to no resemblance to a realistic social/fundraiser event, it's not an artistic choice meant to emphasize Silver Hollow's isolation and alienation from the rest of the world. It's because I have never been to a social event on a college campus, and I did not bother to do any research.
Because the weather was nice, I recorded this episode outside. As I was editing this episode, like Macbeth, reality and hallucination blurred together as I struggled to determine whether there were actually bird noises in the background or if I was just imagining it.
Listen to my dreams, but don't listen too closely.
*Trigger warning: brief mention of suicide*
I Haven't Posted In Weeks Out of Sheer Laziness, But That's Okay!
In the original episode (where Willis was a cat), Willis's hunger drove him to try to eat one of the Poker Rats. Because cats eat rats. However, I couldn't have him try to eat a rat in the new version, because now he's a rat, too. And I don't want to delve into a whole new side plot where Willis loses his mind over the moral implications of cannibalism (or is it real...
REMEMBER THIS! It's important, I swear.
Or maybe she named the bird after the fish from The Amazing World of Gumball.
A review of The Watchers, a movie directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan.
In the original episode, I tried to do Danny's strange, unidentified accent firsthand. It was terrible. Never again.
Originally, it was purple peppermint RAIN. But I changed it to snow so it would fit the winter season. Also, fluffy peppermint snowfall just feels a lot better than wet peppermint puddles.
There's something for everyone! Don't believe me? Listen to it yourself.
You know who you are, Bianca.
In the original story, Willis is actually a cat. I changed him into a rat for many artistic reasons, but also because Willis being a rat becomes sort of a reference to Ratman's Notebooks (Willard).
