I'm going to go through quite a bit
of it and But basically I got to
thinking about last night's You know me talking
about Especially on the Venezuela and but the
problem is I haven't had a lot of

chance to go through the news today because
I was you know, otherwise occupied and But
I got to thinking about the history Because
I had said some things last night I
said a couple of things like You know,
what business is it of ours to be?

Engaging and telling, you know regime change in
Venezuela taking care of things like that But
you know I haven't even looked at the
news how we could have blown them up
by now and I wouldn't know Because I
didn't have a chance to dig into it
today, but I still feel that same way
and I feel And I thought about doing

and I did a history But I didn't
go back to they get to go all
the way that I wanted.
So my topic tonight.
I wanted it to be about Bullying and
You know all through the 90s when my
kids were were young, you know bullying And
I remember growing up as a kid with
with glasses, you know, I had to wear

glasses I was blind as a bat and
you'd have one dumb kid out there call
you before us, you know You know all
that stuff and and I was so tiny
I was the smallest kid in the class
all the way up to like 10th 11th
grade.
I mean, you know, I was tiny just
puny little dude and you know, I got

a little growth spurt between 11th grade and
12th grade and went from 4 foot 10
to 5 foot 9 and that's where I
stayed today, you know Well, hell I might
have shrunk half-inch who the hell who
the hell knows and but I but nobody
recognized me when I come back Different different
kid, but I got I didn't get bullied

but you know not much but you'd have
Bullying did and does exist and it's more
of a private thing, but the bully is
this is the same when somebody stands up
to a bully a lot of times they
don't know how to take it in and
in and I Got to thinking about that

on a bigger Broader level Because in my
opinion The United States has been a bully
Full and along with Europe and all the
idiots over there We we have been Collectively
the United States has been a bully for

a long time we got to talking about
that a little bit last night because of
you know, what we're doing in Venezuela and
It's I'm completely against it, you know both
in high school or grade school or wherever
bullies live and I'm totally against it in

International affairs I just it's it's it's not
right, you know Yeah, well, you know rules
for me, you know, they don't they don't
you know I don't have to worry about
about those rules, you know, those rules don't
apply to me Because I'm a bully because
I can do whatever I want there ain't
a damn thing you can do to stop
about it or you won't Stop it remember

when I was talking last night about that
Trey or a the guy from Burkina Faso
and he you know the new the new
president.
Well, he's not that new He's been there
for a couple three years now, I think
but he they're changing and a lot of
people are changing and They're changing the way
they act and they're changing the way they

integrate I played for you the Jai Shankar
the first one you know that was you
know several months ago and it but it's
the same and You know the impression that
they give from them there It's it's the
exact same that I would give in in
high school.
Well, you know bullies Bullies don't end well

You know when somebody stands up to them

but but the more I get to thinking
about it The more I start to think
that what the old Trumpster is doing in
Venezuela Really has to do with what he's
trying to accomplish in Russia.
He's trying to do something with the oil

down there This is nothing to do with
drugs.
It has nothing to do with drug cartels
It is it is nothing to do with
that that's what they're selling us But this
has nothing to do with that.
It has to do with oil.
It has to do with regime change so
that all of those assets can be re

right people will put that right in quotes
like Mike Myers did when he was Austin
Powers, you know, just the right people.
They're not Austin Powers.
He was actually the Whatever his name was

the bad guy in those shows which was

right people that have to profit right and
and I can't imagine That we're there doing
anything else I mean the reason anybody wanted
Ukraine in the first place and Donald Trump
was pretty open about it the reason he
he wants it for the natural resources and

That's the whole reason for NATO expansion.
Anyway is so that we can control not
only Resources, but narratives we get a control
the dollar we get a control the International
Monetary Fund the banking we go in and
we blow up a country destroy that country

and then come in and rebuild it and
the people who Get the money to rebuild
Are not local They are American contractors and
the contractors all get money from the government
to go and rebuild And they all get
rich and use penny labor from you know,

wherever Bangladesh, you know to in these foreign
countries and they pay these people pennies and
they get fabulously wealthy and All on our
nickel it's our history It's been colonialism 101
that we learned from Britain Britain learned it
from France France learned from Spain I may
have those reversed a little bit, but I

think that's right and it's been going on,
you know Since the Romans, you know at
least in in longer than that where you
go in you take you know you that's
war is the economic enhancement of a country
and Bullying which you know might lead to
war is How we have acted for a

good number of years.
So what I did was I put together
a bunch of examples of These that go
back at least until and and I thought
I'd go back even further but I really
like I said initially I didn't have enough
time to get that done today and But
I wanted to go back at least until
oh The Biggest event that left us with

one person or one country rule was the
collapse of Soviet Union and I wanted to
make a comment on what that question was
from the girl who was interviewing Jai Shankar
last night and basically what she said which
is Highly offensive and it offended him too

But it offended it offends me and the
and the guy who asked him the first
question, too I mean, this is just offensive
the way bet the the behavior of these
people where they come in and go Well,
you're gonna have to pick at some point
between China in the United States Really who
said that why do I have to pick

between China in the United States why?
What what is it out there in the
world?
That says I India have to pick between
China and the United States for what I
can't deal with both of them.
I Mean is this and she believed it

she was sitting and you know, she was
she was rude to him at first You
know, he was asking a question.
So slapped him down.
Wait a minute.
I'm not done Gotta ask I gotta finish

you just be quiet and I will tell
you what what I want you to hear

thought process that says it's either the West
or it's China you must do one or
the other and I That's just completely foolish
and and his answer was well what what

makes it and he didn't use these words
But what makes them mutually exclusive?
Why can't I if I like to buy?
Grain, and I get it cheaper from the
United States.
Why can't I buy grain from the United
States and I don't know You know Manufactured

What difference does it make you're gonna Punish
me by because I go into business with
somebody you don't like Just like a bully,
you know, you're not allowed to like that
person, you know, oh geez stay away from

I mean, I remember and I talked about
this when I was located in Lithuania and

poorly because I spoke Russian or they refused
to speak Russian back You know, I feel
it's it's it's just so foolish and and

so it's foolish for Bullies on the world
stage, but we've been bullies for a long
time and I wanted to give some examples
of those and so let's let's go back
to I've several examples and But we're gonna

start with some some of the biggies that
are going on now I can't decide if
I'm gonna do it I'm gonna do it
in the way that it comes out on
the on the print that I have here
Instead of By I Wanted to do it
in in order by timeline, you know Oldest

do all of that stuff So so let's
get it a chat about it And first
I wanted to go into some of the
obvious ones that are that are kind of
going on right now and the bullying That
has taken place right now on the world
stage and it's Toned down a little bit
by the by the world because India is

not having it You know, they didn't and
so India is a good one.
Russia isn't having it China isn't having it,
but they they what they're they're trying right
and So I want to give some examples
of companies or I'm sorry countries resisting u
.s. Pressure or asserting their own autonomy Saying

you know, hey, we do want to play
with you I mean Russia's been trying to
play on the same field with us trying
to join NATO forever.
Russia's been trying to You know not be
the bad guy for a long time And
the u.s. Won't have it the West
won't have it, you know Did they been
talking about it for a while?

so the ultimate case in the most obvious,
of course is the Ukraine war and Russia
has openly defied the West defied Biden defied
everything that they've been doing since 2014 You
know and the US and the EU defied

(15:29):
sanctions They push their own narrative in the
international field talking about multipolarity and the more
you push back against a bully the more
People listen to you and say, you know,
maybe we should listen to this guy these
guys have been being bullied for a while

(15:51):
and it's kind of funny for us to
say that Russia's being bullied because remember when
the Soviet Union was around we were Considered
relatively Equal right the the Eastern Bloc and
the Western Bloc Nobody wants to push any

(16:11):
buttons because those buttons ultimately lead to a
nuclear standoff Nobody wants that because it's not
good for the parties it's not good for
the world and that's true friends and neighbors,
it just isn't and so then after the
collapse of the Soviet Union We decided they

(16:33):
weren't worth any effort at all But still
treated them like the biggest baddest enemy on
the planet and Took advantage of what we
could robbed what we could sent over businesses
like we could but didn't treat them remotely
as as Equals and We don't do that

with anyone.
It's always condescending Nonsense, I really need to
find that Anthony Blinken and Jaishankar one because
that one was funny when they were talking
in Jaishankar Basically blew him off and Blinken
was dead embarrassed on the stage Let's see

if I can find it real quick because
that one was hilarious Blinken and Jaishankar Jaishankar
Because that I'm telling you that was what
did he put in there to say on
the on the g20 You think they got

savage oh, yep here it is it's six
minutes and this this one was in Was
one year ago, I believe a little bit
more than a year and he he gave
he was Grilled about Multipolarity and Russia's ties
and he beat up on blinking and this

again But he's such a good example of
people just standing up for themselves, and I
can't imagine that a country ten times our
size Is bigger than that I don't know
I'd have to figure it out might be
might be 15 to 20 times our size

that That they have to justify a position
with us It's it's unbelievable and so let's
let's see what it is just because I
liked it back then I want to play

and you know, that's Of course, they got
8 million subscribers, too.

the different pools and pressures which countries have
and It's very hard to have a unidimensional
Relationship now again different countries and different relationships
have different histories If I were to look

say between the u.s. And Germany it
is rooted, you know, there's a alliance Nature
to it.
There's a certain History on which that relationship
is grounded in our case.
It's very different.
So I don't want you to even inadvertently

Give the impression that we are purely and
you know Unsentimentally transactional we are not You
know, we get along with people we believe
in things we share things.
We agree on some things, but You know,
there are times when you know, when you're
located in different places have different levels of

(23:03):
development different Experiences all of that gets into
it.
So life is complicated life is differentiated And
I think it's very important today not to
reduce the entire complexity of our world Into
very sweeping propositions.
I think that era is today behind us

So I agree very much with what Tony
said, which is good partners provide choices Smart
partners take some of those choices But sometimes
there will be choices on which you say
well, you know, I think I'll pass up
on that one It's a very good point

which brings me to the bricks and the
rise of metal powers because that is one
of Of the shifts that we see today
do you had to see Blinken's face during
this?
He's he's just I don't say shocked.
He's like disgusted it's like He's not just

gonna bend over for me nope, to what
extent you think that that is a challenge
to the West or Maybe that can be
sort of the bridge, especially in a world
where we will see continued competition between the
US and China and I'm gonna ask ministers

back to how it began The brick started
in an era where Western dominance was very
strong the premier gathering of the world was

the g7 and You had a number of
significant powers in the world Who felt that?
Well, they were not part of the g7,
but maybe they also Brought value to the
table by sitting and discussing with others So
in a sense you had a collection of

these countries.
It was originally for South Africa joined later
and If you know if you look at
it, it's a very interesting group because it's
Geographically as disparate as it can be Yet
it is bound by the fact that These

discussions we've had over a decade and a
half have been very useful for all of
us Now like any product you test it
in the market at some point We tested
it last year and asked people So how
many of you want to join bricks and
we got almost 30 countries who were willing
to join bricks?
So clearly if 30 countries saw value in

it, there must be something good we've done
So I I think it's important today to
make a distinction being between being non West
and anti-west I Would certainly characterize India
as a country Which is non West but

which has an extremely strong relationship with Western
countries getting better by the day Not everybody
else necessarily in that grouping might qualify for
that description but the the Contribution the bricks
is made, you know, if one looks at
the g7 and how it evolved into the
g20 I Think in a way those additional

13 members who came into his bigger grouping
Five of them are bricks members the fact
that there was another group which was meeting
regularly and discussing and debating I think certainly
was a Input into the expansion of the
g70 g7 into the g20.
So I think we did a service to
the world Now I heard the Blinken response

and he was pretty negative on that when
he when he finally responded But that is
standing up You know the the point of
this Diplomatics this press conference session with with
Annalena verba with Anthony Blinken and Jai Shankar
from India was for Germany and the United

States to tag-team him and get him
to Somehow show See the displeasure of the
United States and the West that they're still
cooperating with Russia and it's You know, you

should some of the commentary that they give
on this about about it What a brilliant
diplomatic reply if I'm smart enough to have
multiple off options.
You should be admiring me This is a
one critical shot at u.s. Hegemony and
the expression of India's strategic autonomy and it's

he He explains his point of view in
a friendly logical civilized way many countries could
learn from that and it seemed that Anthony
Blinken may have was another comment and He
Modi has definitely placed a gem in the
seat of the foreign ministry He's eloquent outshines

all of them with intelligence diplomacy and thoughtful
response India here's another one in Krishna 8917
says India is lucky to have Jai Shankar
as the external affairs minister full marks to
Modi for giving the ministry a Professional to
a professional and allowing him to take Decisions

that benefit India.
It's I mean the way he looks They're
talking about blinking the way Blinken's looking at
Jai Shankar Shows, you know what what he's
thinking, you know, that's that's written there So,

I mean there's there's plenty on that and
so I encourage everyone to go and listen
to what India is doing India and China
are Coming into their own let's say and
so it's it's it's wrong to think That
they're third world countries And if you think

that way you probably need to change your
way of thinking because that's not right So,
you know India itself is a goldmine for
some of the anti-bullying that I that
I get to talk about Russia, you know,
we have Ukraine Russia frequently accuses the United
States of economic coercion now, so does China

so does Indian as do many others and
They Say they weaponize sanctions weaponize IMF
Weaponize the dollar and we do there's there's
no denying it.
We do and we have and That's that

So they do they leave there but they're
speaking the truth and so, you know There
was interesting in there that bricks was part
of that because of what Jai Shankar said
