Fast forward to 2021, where advancements in DNA technology prompted St. Charles Police Captain Raymond Floyd to launch a new task force, uniting various jurisdictions and federal agencies to take one last shot at cracking the case. Bob Cyphers was chosen to document this renewed effort, following the task force city by city. The result was the critically acclaimed seven-part series, Chasing the I-70 Serial Killer, which gained national attention through features in People magazine and on the Discovery Channel, earning an Edward R. Murrow Award and an Emmy nomination.

Cyphers’ book Dead End continues the work of the task force, revealing new evidence never before made public, with the hope of sparking a memory or uncovering a fresh lead. Though the official investigation may have wound down, the quest to bring the I-70 Serial Killer to justice remains very much alive.
