The election is "silly season" as the Rev. Jean-Fritz comments regarding the upcoming elections in America. With roughly 48 days to go until election, politicians are throwing out baseless claims to attract attention while denigrating entire communities of hardworking Americans.
Is it better to let these thoughts and ideas subside, or to stand up against the falsities and provide an element of truth, dignity, and respect in our society? Isn't it imperative that the leaders we elect into office -- especially the potential President of the United States -- be held to the highest of standards of ethics, respect, and morality? The VP Candidate recently explained to the press that they were pushing false claims against immigrants just to bring attention to the subject and to their campaign.
This level if disingenuousness is absurd. If marketing students were assigned tasks, they would likely fail the class to use immoral strategies such as these.
The Rev. Jean-Fritz speaks with host Irving Steel on a variety of issues including the importance of diversity in thought and how it actually enables innovation. There are millions of jobs created by immigrants each year and millions of dollars are put forth into the economy through immigrants.
It is imperative that we as a society work to "first seek to understand" as Stephen Covey has said in his book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. We as a society must better seek to understand the amazing diversity of people and citizens in our community and the unique resources that they provide for our country. It is only by understanding and respecting these differences that America can come closer together and become a stronger nation.
We must continue to work hard to rise by lifting up others in our community.
Listen in as the Rev. speaks to the importance of building a better, stronger community together.
