Sound Community Services is a $10 million nonprofit based in southeastern Connecticut that services many people throughout the region needing mental health services.

Mental health and depression are the leading cause of loss in productivity according to the World Health Organization, and it impacts roughly one out of every four Americans. Taking a proactive approach to mental health is similar to physical health -- it's imperative to build up resilience and strength in times of need so that you have the resilience needed to handle the inevitable ups and downs of life.

Burns is a former clinician who has transitioned into an administrative role within the organization and now helps to plan the best programs and services for the community. They work very closely with the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services where they receive nearly all their funding.

Their Executive Director is a former 20+ year Veteran Employee from the State of Connecticut who brings a wealth of resources and relations. https://soundcommunityservices.org/
