If You Place Yourself Under the Law, You Have Fallen From Grace!

Abraham with Hagar produced Ishmael by an act of the flesh, in an attempt to bring God's promise into reality. It was works based and not God doing, by His power, what He had promised He would do. It was a picture of the attempt to be under the law given at Sinai for justification. Israel was under the law until flesh came, and now, Paul writes plainly, are no longer. Likewise, Gentiles, who have never been under the law, should not go back into the similar weak and beggarly elements of that law, after having been delivered from the bondage to the paganism they formerly practiced!
