It's almost time for this year's Married At First Sight Reunion episodes, and here's everything that happened on and off camera back when this was filmed in November.

I also released a book last year which you can check out here if you're a reader or Audiobook streamer... it's about the other side of my life and career, but has some MAFS goss in there!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, and welcome back to the Mathsphony Podcast with Me
Joshua Fox, and today I have your complete guide to
the shit show that will be this sun Is Reunion
dinner party, including what happens on screen, what happened off screen,
and what people tried to make happen but then didn't
happen because it was a bit desperate and cringey. So firstly,

(00:20):
not everybody actually attended. Lauren said no thanks because she
knew the other girls would just go at her if
she attended. Jake said not no thanks because he wanted
nothing to do with the show anymore. Tim didn't even
return the calls from producers, and Marena basically said this
when the producers kept phoning her, saying contractually, she has
to attend.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
For me once, not twice. Now, I declined. They said
to me, you've got an obligation. I have no obligations.
I'm done. I'm done with I'm actually on my remote.
I've got to actually put a cover on number nine.
I'm done. I will never watch you and kid what
you put on me. Change your ethics, change your change

(01:05):
your values. I understand you've got a show to do.
And I used to sell them do your job, but
there's a line.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
There's also rumors floating around that more cast members were
initially saying, nah, I'm not coming. You can't make me
no matter what the contract says, and apparently producers then
just paid them. Genius moved from the cast, but that
then caused a bit of a shitshell when other cast
members found out that someone were being paid and they weren't. Now,

(01:35):
as we already know from the adverts on TV, the
biggest storyline of the night is going to be Jackie
and Clint's debut as a brand new couple, despite the
fact that by this point they've only been talking three weeks.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Whatever you do, nobody knows what's really going on. Don't
look away. Since the experiment, we've been attached and to
each other.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
But what you won't see on TV is the fact
that they were almost two new couples debuting at the reunion.
I'm told that Billy initially asked Karina if they could
like arrive there together and steer some drama and speculations
for them, but apparently she just turn around and went, no,
we're just friends. That's weird and inside. I'm also told

(02:23):
that the seating Planet was apparently just a free for all,
meaning sit next to who you want, whereas that the
usual dinner parties you have to sit next to your partner.
And I'm told that Billy took the seat next to
Karina again to maybe try get a bit flirty, maybe
suggest something might be happening, you know, get some rumors going,
but Carina is just a bit like, no thanks. Daily

(02:44):
Mail Australia also report that before the reunion, Sierra apparently
hits up Adrian like, yo, should we arrive together, you know,
given that brief storyline of them hanging out at the
start of the season, but he said no thanks. And
now regarding the remaining couples from Final Vows, as I've
already said in here, Dave and Jamie indeed were spotted

(03:07):
arriving separately, and then Adrian Athena as well as Jackie
and Clint. Those two are going to be like one
of the other biggest story lens of this episode. And
apparently things get so heated that Adrian just stormmed out
of the dinner party. Obviously he then later returned, but
then Athena apparently just storms off completely, like not just

(03:27):
outside the dinner party, but just out of Sydney as
she left and was like, yo, I am done with
this show, see you later. And Athena's decision to do
this also wasn't helped by Sierra, who is said to
have really kind of gone hard at her during the
dinner party. Back to Jackie and Clinton now, though, and
their debut as a new couple of three weeks doesn't

(03:48):
go smoothly. Firstly because it of course leads to a
huge blow up with Ryan.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Jackie's gone from a Kyo to a Ferrari showdown.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
Will leave the nations Sanderstras appreciate Jackie like a work
of art. Now that seemed inevitable again given the fact
that only three to four weeks had passed since the
fin of Ours and this being filmed, and I think
Ryan found out that Jackie had kind of been connecting

(04:19):
with Clint before they officially split at final of Ours.
That blow up there was in the Dinner Party, which
is Sunday Nights episode, and then in Monday Nights episode,
which is part two of the reunion, where all of
the couple sit down with the experts and you know,
watchback scenes from the show. Jackie apparently sees a different
side to Clint, and she's not happy. And this all

(04:40):
stems from when footage is shown from there. Do you
remember the Byron Bay retreat when Clint was still with
Lauren and he was kind of bad mouthing Jamie and
some of the other girls. Apparently Jackie was not happy
to watch that back because she is a big fan
of Jamie. And this is what Jackie recently said and
her socials regarding this. No, I'm not okay with Clint's behavior,

(05:00):
and we had a conversation about it on air. I
was heartbroken because Jamie was my biggest advocate the whole experiment.
It all comes out of the reunion. Watch this Space, well, Jackie,
I will indeed be watching this Space and I am
excited for Sunday night. Have a lovely day slash few
days until then. Goodbye,
