Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello and welcome back to the Mass Funny podcast, where
I have some breaking news this evening. I can reveal
that Safe Work New South Wales launched an official investigation
into Married at First Sight and production company Animal Shine
Australia on Friday, following complaints from several participants. This is
also what Jackie was alluding to in a TikTok which

(00:20):
he posted around an hour ago, where she said this.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
Okay, so there's hope for us. Justice is on its ways.
Are officially getting investigated.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
I'm told by reliable sources that interviews have already began
between a Safe Work New South Wales inspector and various
different participants about their experiences during filming, with some of
them claiming they fell unsafe. I'm also told that Safe
Work New South Wales and now slowly reaching out to
every other cast member from this season and as well
as that, I'm also told that Safe Work New South

(00:50):
Wales will be meeting with the producers behind the show
on Wednesday, where they will allegedly be requesting all unedited
footage from the season is handed over for them to review.
I'm also told by sources that some participants are hoping
for a financial settlement, whereas some are happy to just
go along with the investigation because they believe what they
went through on set is not right. And if that

(01:12):
wasn't all crazy enough, there's currently a rumor flying around
that John Walsh, who is Channel nine's long standing executive
producer married at first Sight, has now resigned too. I
haven't been able to personally stand that up, but multiple
sources and cast members are claiming that's true. I've reached
out to Channel nine to see if they can confirm
or deny, so I will update this when I get
a response if I get a response. I've also asked

(01:35):
Channel nine if they'd like to comment on this safe
Work in New South Wales investigation, and again I'm yet
to receive a reply. It's also worth noting that this
investigation is nothing to do with the police investigation into
the Paul incident. That's an entirely separate thing. That's all
I've got for now. Good night,
