This morning I published a podcast detailing the latest Jacqui and Clint drama, including how a comment he made on the show has offended people in Western Sydney and sparked a debate on elitism.

After listening to it, Clint asked if I could give him a call... and I didn't anticipate it'd end up with me apologizing for my own almost scandal.

For more silly content from me, follow me on Instagram and TikTok as well as the @MAFSfunny page.

I also released a book last year which you can check out here if you're a reader or Audiobook streamer... it's about the other side of my life and career, but has some MAFS goss in there!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, and welcome back to the Maths Funny Podcast with
me Joshua Fox. I've got a very unplanned episode here.
I don't know what's going to happen other than the
fact that after this morning's episode, Clint has reached out
and asked can I give him a call? Can it
be recorded, and can he come on and set the
record straight on some things. And this is all off
the back of my report this morning breaking down the

(00:22):
war that has erupted between Western Sydney and Clint from Tasmania.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Here we go, Allo, buys.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
So you asked me to call you. You hear the
podcast this morning? Are we good?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
I think we're okay. Although I did hear you talk.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
About my comments the other night from the reunion, and
I don't think they'll write comments. I agree they were
they were not good comments and I'm not prayud of
talking down to it.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
Anyone lives and I know this myself.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
I come from Tazzy and I've copped it for my
entire laugh about being from Tazzy. I've been criticized and
where I'm from, so I know it doesn't feel nice.
And to be fair on what actually happened that night,
and not to excuse it, because I shouldn't have stooped
to Ryan's level. He'd been coming at me for quite
some time about a number of things, and then he
came at me about being from Tazzy, and I know

(01:24):
how he implied it. He told me to go back
to my hole in Tazzi or whatever he referred to me,
as it didn't sit well. And he'd been coming at
us for quite some time. And yeah, I responded with
where he's from. And I don't think it's a good
move for anyone to go back and forth to that
where they're from. I think we're all proud of where
they're from. I'm so proud of being from Tazzy and
I'll defend where I'm from John blow in the face.

(01:47):
I love that place, and I'm sure he loves Cammelltown
and Western Suburbs and they should do too. There's nothing
wrong with the Western Suburbs.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah, I reckon as well. When you said that, I
mean you were just making a dig at him. But
I don't think you may be understood, like how much
of an issue that is of the way people look
down on Western Sydney in the Greater Sydney that's true.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Yeah, I probably didn't look at what's behind it with
where he's front. It was more yeah, personally at him
and not as the actual community of the Western Suburbs.
I've got friends in the Western Suburbs and they're great
people and there's a lot of success that comes out
of that part of the country and they should be
proud of where they're from.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
And if it's offended anyone, and I know doubt it has.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Because I've received some backlash and some messages about where
they're from, and I apologize sincerely because no one should
be a shamed from where they're from.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Okay, And I think that's good actually that you you know,
you wanted to come one and you wanted to like
own that and apologize because not many people would. And
I think that's quite all brave of you. So good
on you, Clint.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
I appreciate that. Thanks mate. Mate.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Throughout this entire experiment, I've said things that I'm not
proud of, and there's you're in a lot of pressure
situations and in moment you're often trying to find words
to Often you find your voice and find your place
in the conversation and defend where you're at because it
comes at you're pretty hard and fast at times, and
often you look back and go, wow, I shouldn't have
said it in that way.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
People forget when you're filming that show that how pressurized
it is, and I didn't producers kind of prodding you
idding a bit of alcohol, adding fourteen hours on set.
I mean, people will say things they regret.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Yeah, and sometimes it's tough and you've got like, you know,
three quarters of the table coming at you, Like, it
can get pretty pretty intense when you've got all the
table just firing questions about especially when jack and I
walked in as a new couple and we're in the
forign line and we've got the entire table coming at
us and we were copying out, we were copying on
the chin, and then it was just a moment of like, okay,

(03:48):
we spoke back and we were clapped back at a.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Comment that didn't land well.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
And yeah, it can be very intense in those dinner
parties that's for short.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Well, it was not intense, but it was crazy because
I was at a different viewing party and I mean,
you've seen the videos when the news broke of you
and Jackie at another party, and like the room erupted
so good because someone's engaged, and the general vibe from them

(04:19):
was they just felt it was a publicity stunt. But
you and Jackie have kind of confirmed Nah, it's the
real deal, right.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Yeah, it was disappointing to see that a lot of
the cast would see that as that. Like, there's still
a number of the cast that Jackie and I still
talk to, and they could see over the last five
or six months how genuine we are and how much
we are into each other. We've been living together twenty
four to seven since we met, and we wanted to

(04:45):
celebrate and share that news with people that enjoyed the show,
and we thought it was a great opportunity and I
don't regret the way I did propose. It was so
fitting at the end of this entire experiment to share
it with people that care about us, a front row
seat to the next stage of our life.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
And the amount of people that were.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
There to enjoy that that have now messaged on thank
you so much for letting us in on a big
occasion like that.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
So I'm glad we did it in that way.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Yeah, that's cute, And I suppose we'll end this way saying,
I guess that none of the cast that the party
I was that are going to be at the wedding. A.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
I don't know. We haven't done.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
We literally sat down this morning at breakfast a lot.
We're going to start thinking about wedding plans. Who's how
big or small this is going to be and who
can go? So we might see if you can get
a spot there. Josh, what do you think.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
I'd love that I could be the celebrant if you aren't.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Would you? I heard there was someone else to put
the hand up to the celebrant, Oh Ryan.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
He said that to me as well.

Speaker 3 (05:44):
I'm going to be the celebrant, right and I'm going
to tell him, but brother, it's okay to go great.
I was very drunk trying to call me, and I'm
not sure why he was trying to call me on
the night of my engagement, but that was kind of weird.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
No, I do have to apologize for that because you know,
you know Al Perkins for a few ago. Oh yeah,
me and him were kind of on the outskirts of
my viewing part and we did get quite drunk. And
then when the news broke, I was like, it was
me who said, let's phone, Clint, he's.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Not answering my call? Why won't you answer my call?
And I'm saying happy for.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
You, brother?

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Oh the happy union. You was a culprit. I'm gonna
be honest. It was me. Let's not do it again,
let's not sh My god, my god, I'm not doing it. No, no, no.
And I thought it was funny in the moment.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
I'm glad you didn't answer because maybe it wasn't funny.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
But what I just want life.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
I just wondered how what he would want to say
to me after we've had such a nice night. What
would Ryan want to call me and have What would
you want to say?

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Firstly, you didn't know he was phoning until I said
this phone, it's phony, Clint.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Who is this?

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Who is it?

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Yeah? Okay, well I'll take accountability for that one, so
I'll apologize too.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
That's all right, right.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
None of us are perfect, As Hannah Montana says.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
We're all far from perfect.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
I've definitely had some blunders over the last few months,
that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Well, you know, happiness is on the horizon. Now we
can kind of you two settle into your tazzy life
you've got those two lovely dogs, you've got to wedd
into plan and you've got a walking wad Jobe. As
Jackie said on the show.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
I hopefully we can stay at the airport on the
way out. Oh yeah, we'll see you soon, mate,
