W audycji odwiedzamy Sochaczew 🗺, gdzie na wzgórzu nad Bzurą stoją ruiny dawnego zamku. Historia tego miejsca sięga XII wieku ⏳, kiedy istniało tu drewniane grodzisko pełniące funkcję schronienia dla ludności. W XIV wieku powstał murowany zamek książąt mazowieckich 🏯, a później – z inicjatywy króla Zygmunta III Wazy 👑 – rozpoczęto budowę królewskiej rezydencji. Niestety, potop szwedzki zniszczył nową warownię ⚔. W XVIII wieku próbowano ją odbudować jako archiwum miejskie 📜, lecz po rozbiorach popadła w ruinę. Dziś zamek jest zrewitalizowany jako trwała ruina, z której rozciąga się piękna panorama rzeki Bzury 🌅, a jego dziedziniec tętni życiem podczas wydarzeń kulturalnych.
