“Every setback is a setup for impact.”
In Episode 44 of Men Pursuing More, Turnar Kist takes us on a powerful journey from growing up in Winnipeg, Canada, to becoming a teacher and coach in Minnesota. Turnar reflects on the lessons learned attending Catholic and prep schools, volunteering at a young age, and balancing his love for hockey and basketball—though he didn’t play them at the varsity level, he found his stride on the football field in both high school and college. Inspired by his older brother, Turnar pursued football at the University of Mary in Bismarck, where he majored in Social Studies and minored in Special Education, setting the stage for his calling as a teacher and coach. His path has included overcoming concussions, a serious accident, hard career choices, and most recently, a battle with cancer alongside his father’s stage 4 fight. Today, as a football and lacrosse coach and a special education teacher, Turnar is living out resilience, pouring into students, athletes, and families while staying committed to his own growth. This is a story of grit, faith, and finishing strong no matter the obstacles.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
