The Lowell Community Health Center (LCHC) is a community health center that serves Greater Lowell. They are an integral part of the Massachusetts healthcare system, pointing the way towards a different kind of healthcare - one that will bring all the underserved and overlooked to the table, and act truly as an advocate.
The Health Center is a community-based health center with the mission to provide high-quality, accessible, and affordable primary care in Greater Lowell so that the underserved may exercise their right to choose the Health Center as their medical home.
We sit down with Padma Sastry, Senior Director, Digital Transformation to learn about what makes LCHC so special and how they are transforming the health delivery system by their 'community first' approach. We learn more about the challenges that LCHC faces and what they're doing about them as it attempts to continue its good work.
Padma Sastry helps us understand what it takes to be an innovator and the leadership required to navigate through the uncertainty of investing in innovation while stuck with the constraints of technology and budget.
You'll Discover:
* How they always do big things with really little.
* Why innovation doesn't always mean costly.
* Some simple innovations they've deployed across LCHC that are sensible and have had a big impact on patient access

The Advancing Healthcare Innovation Show started with the idea of wanting to highlight stories of what healthcare innovation truly looks like in action. Our mission, highlight real people who are really innovating within healthcare. Guests include healthcare entrepreneurs, providers, payers, and professionals from the investment community. We showcase little wins as well as valuable lessons learned from setbacks through these interviews. The real innovators in healthcare are often the ones in the trenches doing the work with razor-sharp focus. We find these innovators and bring their stories to light.
