Meet Judy, an author, nurse, and advocate. In this conversation, Judy shares the story of her daughter Megan, who was involved in a tragic accident that left her brain dead. Judy recounts the events leading up to the accident and the subsequent medical interventions. She discusses the decision to donate Megan's organs and the process involved in organ donation. In her grief, she shares her experience of losing her daughter, Megan, due to medical negligence. Judy stepped in, even in grief, to advocate for her daughter and arrived at the unthinkable truth that Megan could have lived had someone corrected the arrogance of one man. Megan was a firefly, vivacious, curious, and studying to be a nurse at college.
This is a story of justice, grief, bereavement, MAMA TRAUMA, car accident, vehicle accident, trauma, death, head injury, head trauma, intubation, organ donation, organ donor, medical negligence, paramedic, lawsuit, and how one family is getting through the death of a beloved daughter and sister.
