Welcome back to another episode of Morning Coffee and Bible. I'm your host, Brandon. Today, we're diving into a deeply meaningful and thought-provoking topic: This is not our home.

As I speak to you from the road on a family trip to Springfield, Missouri, I invite you to join me in exploring what the Bible says about our earthly home versus our heavenly home. Have you ever felt that longing for something more? A sense that this world is not our final destination? Today, we will look at what the scripture paints as a vivid picture of our eternal home that awaits us, crafted by God himself.

We'll reflect on passages from Hebrews, John, Corinthians, and Philippians, discussing the temporary nature of our earthly lives and the hope we have for our heavenly future.

As we roll along, I can't help but share the moments of our journey, from the amusing antics of my family to the deep reflections on our purpose and existence. My wife, ever the patient one, keeps me grounded as I tend to go off the rails. But today, we stay on track, focusing on a message that everyone needs to hear: This is not our home.

Whether you're a Christian or not, this message resonates. We were not made for this existence. To understand what we were made for, we look back to the paradise of the Garden of Eden, where Adam and Eve walked with God. That was the existence we were created for, an existence in the presence of the Holy, the Divine, the Creator.

In the midst of our road trip, amidst the laughter and the occasional delirium, we delve into the scriptures. Hebrews 11:8-10 reminds us of Abraham's faith and his journey to a promised land, living as a stranger in a foreign country, looking forward to a city with foundations whose architect and builder is God.

We also reflect on John 14:1-3, where Jesus reassures his disciples that he is preparing a place for them, a place where they will be with him forever. This promise extends to all believers, assuring us of a home beyond this temporary world.

As we navigate through our travels and the complexities of life, we remember that our true citizenship is in heaven. Philippians 3:20-21 tells us that our citizenship is in heaven, and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly bodies to be like his glorious body.

This episode is a reminder that no matter where we are or what we're going through, this is not our home. We are strangers in a foreign land, looking forward to an eternal home with God. So, as you go about your day, remember that you are a citizen of heaven, and your ultimate home is with Christ.

This is not our home. Welcome back to another episode of Morning Coffee and
Bible. I'm your host, Brandon.
And today we're diving into a deeply meaningful and thoughtful provoking topic.
This is not our home. As I speak to you from the road on a family trip to Springfield,
Missouri, I want you to join me in exploring what the Bible says about our earthly

(00:21):
home versus our heavenly home.
Have you ever felt that longing for something more? A sense that this world
is not our final destination?
Today, we're going to look at what the scripture paints as a vivid picture of
our eternal home that awaits us.
Crafted by God himself, we'll reflect on passages from Hebrews,

(00:44):
John, Corinthians, and Philippians, discussing the temporary nature of our earthly
lives and the hope we have for our heavenly future.
Now, grab your coffee, settle in, and prepare to be encouraged and inspired.
So, are you ready? Let's go.
We're just going to roll. We are just going to roll. Roll to dope.

(01:05):
Roll to dope. I just see my wife just up there just shaking her head, shaking her head.
She knows when I go off the rails and I go off the tracks, and I tend to do
that, and I will try not to do that today. day.
Today, we are talking about this is not our home.
This is not our home. I want to get that across to everyone that out there that needs to hear this.

(01:27):
Whether you're a Christian, whether you're not a Christian, either way, this is not your home.
This is not what you were made for. You were not made for this existence.
If we want to actually, if we want to look at what we were were made for,
the best, clearest picture of it is if we look back to paradise.
If we look back to paradise in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve,

(01:54):
that was the picture of what we were made for.
We were made to live in existence where we live, breathe, and walk with God himself. self.
It says that Adam and Eve walked in the cool of the day. They heard the Lord
walking through the garden.
And it did not catch them off guard.
They were not completely not prepared for the presence of the Holy,

(02:18):
the Divine, of the God, the Creator that made them.
They were not thrown off their high horse. High horse.
I keep looking up there and I keep thinking you're shaking your head at me. I don't know.
I'm going to take a drink. Let's drink it up. Drink that coffee. I got that McDonald's.
Are you doing something to me or what are you doing? Okay. I never eat.

(02:41):
She's looking in the rear view mirror. So I'm always just like,
she's making these, her eyes, her eyes are just getting big.
And I'm like, are you looking at me? Am I saying some weird stuff?
Have I went off the rails? Went off the deep end? I tend to do that.
I like to go off the deep end.
If you are living in the shallow end of the pool, you need to jump in that deep
end. You need to stretch your limits because you were made for something spectacular and amazing.

(03:06):
You know, you weren't made for living in the shallow end of the pool,
whether you're not a Christian or a Christian.
Because we all, by default, we start as not Christians.
You come out of the womb, you are not Christian. Unless you're blessed and you're like John the Baptist.
John the Baptist, he was a Christian in the womb.
He was a believer in the womb. It says the Holy Spirit entered the womb of his mother, Elizabeth.

(03:30):
And whenever Mary, the mother of Jesus, came to her, it says her womb leapt.
It was like it would have been like a citizen, a person that was a part of a country.
And the king approaches and he would just do a little gallop,
a little jumping, a little dance, a little hippity hoppity poo.
As in this king is just coming for me. and I got to jump up and down and I got

(03:52):
to show my exuberance, my excitements for this king that I am in the presence
of. I'm going to hip hop and I'm going to jump up.
And he leapt in the womb of his mother, which is, that is, he was aware of the divine.
The divine presence was encountering John the Baptist.
But like I said, we are not Christians from the womb. We are by nature,

(04:15):
it says we are by nature children of wrath.
If you really think about it, like we are, we were born in this sinful world
we were born with a sinful nature
we were born in rebellion against our creator that made us and these.
We have to be adjusted. We have to be renovated, recreated, remade.
And that's when we are made, re-quickened and made to come to life.

(04:39):
And we are put on the narrow path, the road to victory and glory in Jesus.
Oh, there's victory in Jesus.
Isn't that a song, Jesse? Victory in Jesus. How's it go, Jesse?
How's it go? Do you have the tune? You have the notes? What are you, moving along? Why?
Okay, sorry. my bad my bad

(05:00):
oh there's victory in jesus yes
there is just there is oh there's victory
i want to enliven and
make what's going on are you okay everything good bonnie i get fired up i get
fired up when people are not fired up when people are not fired up i get fired
up all right she bonnie is fired up in here you know that's the biggest thing

(05:24):
be fired up in your mind so that whatever you're going into,
I've said it before, I do not like low energy. I do not, and I hate it when I have low energy.
I want to, I want to create and generate energy that just lights people up. But it's tough, like,
I think I was not made for this century. I was not made for this era.

(05:45):
I was made to be going into battle and going into fighting and going into war.
You know, this that we live in right now, it's just, I think it's just this world is too tame.
This world that we live in, like this, I guess just the society in general, it's too tame.
And I'm wanting something more. I wanted to be on the front line and the battlefield,

(06:07):
you know? But I think the biggest thing is I need to be out in the battlefield
for Christ and for spreading His name, spreading His gospel.
Because that is the biggest thing that's going to make the difference for time and for eternity.
And I have felt the presence of other people that just hate that presence.

(06:29):
They hate the presence of Christ.
They hate the name of Christ. When you speak about God and spiritual things, people can get on board.
They're like, all right, whatever. you know that he's speaking about god you know
we believe in this heavenly heavenly grandpa in
the sky but then other people are like no but if
you speak up the name you bring up the name of jesus that's when
people's eyes glaze over that's when people's blood starts to boil when they

(06:52):
hear that name of jesus that's when it can be that's why it is there's that
that diametric just opposition from both sides you either hear the name of christ
you hear the name of jesus and And it's the most peaceful, serene,
wonderful thing in the world.
Or it gets people just mad, crazy nuts.
They just want to scream down your throat. They just want to chop your head off at times.

(07:16):
They just absolutely hate it. They cannot take the name of Jesus.
That's why people scream Jesus Christ, and they say it in the most obscene manner possible.
That is what, as a Christian, I don't want to say that, but when I hear people
say about Jesus Christ, That ticks me off, you know, and I but I don't want to.

(07:36):
I don't want to propel them down a future of hating Jesus even more or looking
at, oh, this Christian, he's all snooty and on his high horse,
holier than thou, all that junk.
But I feel that. I feel that when people talk about him, my blood starts to
boil if they start using the name Christ in a wrong way.

(07:57):
But that's what it is. So today we are talking about this is not our home.
This is not our home. We are looking forward to a future reality that is coming,
that God himself is going to be the architect and builder of this wonderful,
glorious city that we are all going to inhabit.

(08:20):
We have a place built and created for us.
If you feel like you are in a wrong place, that you should not be here, then you are right.
You are 100% exactly right. You were not made for where you are at currently.
You are behind enemy territory.
You are in the battle, in the thick of it.

(08:42):
And we are longing for... What's going on? What's up?
All right. So let's actually... You want to pull up... Why don't you go ahead,
Bonnie, and can you pull up Hebrews 11, 8 through 10?
I'm not going to touch this because I did a... Freeze? Yep, you got it.
I don't know what you're in? No, no. Can you read? Actually,
I'll just read it because it might be kind of quiet when you read it over there.

(09:05):
I'll just read it. This is Hebrews 11, 8 through 10, just so you all have it and you can hear it.
I'm going to give you that text because I love giving that text. I love the Bible.
I love the Bible. Who else out there loves the Bible?
You can tell we are on a family vacation.
When you are on a family vacation and you're with the people that you love most,

(09:29):
but you are in close corridors, you feel the energy.
Like I talked about earlier, the energy, as in some people are just – it's tough,
especially if you've been on the road for a while.
I know we've only been on maybe an hour or so, but we're still – we're feeling
it. We're feeling that vibe there.
It's like we want to be able to get out and breathe. But I would love to just

(09:50):
cross the country. I love crossing the country road tripping style.
That is so fun to me. What about you all out there? Are you all –.
Oh yeah, I saw it. I saw it, Jesse. We saw some...
A horse and buggy. We saw a horse and buggy on the highway. Just going the other
way. It must be some Amish, you know? I did not know we were in Amish country.

(10:10):
But we're... Is this Amish country, Jesse?
She doesn't know. That sounds weird. Just like horse and buggy on the highway.
That is how we roll in the flyover country. We are in flyover territory.
Midwest style, baby.
Thank you kindly. Kindly, think kindly. So we're going to read Hebrews 11,

(10:31):
8 through 10. And like I said, I will.
Like I said, I will. Whoa. You start hallucinating.
You start seeing things when you have been out on like kind of crazy land treks.
You know, like imagine people going across the country back in the,
would have been about the 1600s. Lewis and Clark, you know, they're like,
yeah, like they were going across the country and you start seeing things.

(10:54):
You start like, how am I going to get through the day? How am I going to make it?
How am I going to traverse this beautiful land, ever waves of grain and not
come away, you know, a madman, a crazy man, crazy man. So if you want to,
you're starting to turn it, baby.
I like holding it. It's good. All right. So, all right. So let's,
let's just read it. All right.

(11:15):
Hebrews 11, eight through 10.
By faith, Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his
inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.
By faith, he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country.
He lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same

(11:39):
promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations whose architect and builder is God.
That is, I love that. People might hear the Bible, they might hear the Bible
and they're just like, whatever, I'll tolerate it for a little bit.

(12:00):
You know, I'll kind of listen because it's just, it's the difference between,
it is the difference between a Christian and non-Christian person that isn't
filled with the Spirit as opposed to someone that's not.
You know a person that has the holy spirit within them when you hear the bible
it it makes sense It comes alive.
It might not make perfect sense You still got to study it and learn it the best
you can but people that do not have the holy spirit Which I for the majority

(12:23):
of my life, I guess it still was the majority of my life I'm almost I became
a christian when I was 20.
I'm almost 40 So it's still a majority of my life. I
wasn't a christian and when you really think about it I'm getting to the
point where the majority of my life will be as a christian but
if if you are if you don't have the holy spirit in
you in this the bible does not make sense at all
it's because the the spirit is not in you to make

(12:46):
it come alive and make you understand it what it's actually intending
to say all right so this is what i'm talking about uh in first corinthians 2
this is verse 14 says this the person without the spirit does not accept things
that come from the spirit of god but considers them foolishness and cannot understand
them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

(13:08):
The person with the Spirit makes judgment about all things, but such a person
is not subject to merely human judgments.
All right, so it talks about if you do not have the Holy Spirit,
the Bible and everything, all that will not make sense.
It does not make sense. It does not compute because the Holy Spirit is what
has to come in and illuminate it and make it clear and understandable because

(13:32):
to our natural mind, it's foolishness. It's it's silliness. It's stupidity.
The Bible itself. That's why people that are atheists and people that do not
accept the Bible, they can be so harsh against it because to them it is dumb. It is foolish.
And it's only when the Holy Spirit comes in and awakens and quickens them that

(13:53):
they can actually start understanding it truthfully and clearly and in the proper
context that it was written.
We're going to jump forward to John 14, 1 through 3.
This is Jesus in the upper room. him. He's talking to his disciples before he's going to the cross.
He knows he's going to be resurrected. His disciples do not know that.

(14:14):
They've been told that by Jesus, but it doesn't make sense to them.
They're like, okay, we don't want to even think about the possibility of you dying, Lord.
And the resurrection even coming into our minds is not even something that we're
going to even play around with.
We're not even going to think on that possibility at all.

(14:35):
So So that's not even in their purview whatsoever.
But Jesus tells his disciples, and Judas, Judas Iscariot, the one who betrayed
him, has already left the building.
He's already left the room. He's no longer in there.
And he's going out to betray him. He's going out to sell him to be taken away and eventually killed.
But his close-knit 11 apostles, disciples, are in there.

(14:58):
And he says to them, Jesus says, do not let your hearts be troubled.
You believe in God, believe also in me.
My Father's house has many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that
I am going to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me.

(15:21):
You also may be where I am. That is an amazing reality that we all get to experience.
As Christians, Jesus has prepared a place for him that we can be with him for all eternity.
We are not just going to be guests in God's house when we come to be with him
in heaven and in our future eternal glory.

(15:43):
We are not just going to be just second-class citizens.
No, we are going to be the children of God, this is going to be our home.
We are going to be with God in his presence, fully his children.
I'm getting crazy. I'm going crazy. I'm going through the United States of America and I'm going crazy.
I am getting kind of crazy. Crazy in here. It's crazy.
Crazy. All right, here we go. The thing is, you don't freak out.

(16:07):
Don't allow yourself to freak out. Dad, you're freaking out.
I've heard that if people are freaking out, you should freak out. have
you because then aren't you supposed to freak out a lot when you're other
people because that's what calms people down what do you think jesse what
do you think honey bonnie if people are freaking out should you freak out i don't
know i to me i don't know i maybe you should freak out immediately like but

(16:31):
a controlled a controlled freak out that you're like and then they're like oh
my gosh and then their blood goes down their blood pressure goes down and that
then then you are able to communicate soothing, comforting,
peaceful words that will make
them just ready to settle in and just warm themselves by the fire, cozy.

(16:55):
Okay. What am I trying to find? Oh, my gosh.
This is 2 Corinthians 5, 1 through 2. Paul writes to the Corinthian believers.

(17:33):
He says,
I know. I know. I know. Everything's okay.
Everything's okay. All right. So yeah, this is my body's breaking down.
I don't know about you all. Is your body, is it in the breaking down stage?
A lot of emotions happening. A lot of emotions.
You know, your blood can start to boil. Blood can start to boil,
but everything you go through when things make you upset and get ticked off,

(17:55):
that's where you can come out stronger from them.
You know, whatever you're going through, So if you're on a family vacation and
you need that strength to get through it, you know, that's what happens for everyone.
You know, take every event that comes your way as a way to come out stronger,
better, more in tune with God,
more in tune with your walk and love of God and love for everyone else.

(18:17):
You know, people are just people, you know, just like we like.
We like to take other people off.
People are going to take us off. We need to take it in stride,
run with it, live with it, love it.
You can tell I get delirious. You can tell I leave.
What is it? Unless you leave your emotions on your sleeve. What is it,

(18:38):
Jesse? Is it something like that?
You wear it. I wear my emotions on my sleeve. I wear them on my sleeve.
I'm not good at hiding how I feel.
If I am happy, you know it. If I am sad, you know it. If I am mad, you know it.
I get mad and I don't want to be versed against man. You know,

(19:00):
I want to have righteous anger.
I don't want to have that, that putrid, ugly, horrific anger that just gets,
it's just so meaningless and futile.
And it just has nothing good that comes of it.
I want to have anger that is focused on things that God does not want.
It is focused on eliminating things that God does not want is not in tune with what God loves.

(19:22):
I want to love the things that God loves. I want to hate the things that God hates.
Because that is the reality. That is the truth. That is the truth of the matter.
And I don't know about you all. Everyone's different. I am who I am.
You're who you are. God doesn't hate it. You don't think God hates anything?
Say one thing that he hates. He hates sin.

(19:43):
You know what sin is? I know what sin is. I know, but he hates sin.
So God would hate people murdering people. You know what I mean?
So there are things that God hates. But he would forgive that.
Yeah, I mean, he loves people, but he still hates actions that people do that

(20:04):
go against his law and go against what he would want.
You know that like just like me
and mom when we get upset when when you all
do not obey and listen to us we get upset we
it makes our blood boil so i mean god
himself he gets upset if we're not living in a way that's pleasing to him you

(20:26):
know i mean that's does that make sense for me so there are things that god
hates god is not god is not just this happy-go-lucky deity that's out there
that just goes along to get along. He's not only a God of love.
It says that God is love. He is a God of love. He is love.
He is love incarnate, but He is not only love. He is holy. He is righteous. He is just.

(20:51):
Things that do not go in line with what He has created and the way He has fashioned
this world and this universe in our body and how we treat it and how we treat others'
bodies and how we treat others and people in general, if it does not line up
with what god loves and what god likes and knows what's intended,
it's not going to please him it's going it that's why we want

(21:11):
to align ourselves so much with what god believes and
knows to be true we believe what is true but
he knows what is true oh my gosh a
little one when i looked at her she did not like that she did not like that
now she's smiling okay let me see sorry about yesterday i was kind of in a weird
mood hey buddy get her so she's not like making noise because that's what people

(21:34):
is going to really throw them off if they're hearing a baby kind of crying in the background.
Dad, I'm trying. I know you're doing good. You're doing good.
You're doing perfectamundo, Mike. Perfectamundo.
We got to settle her down. Settle her down. I might not have cut a single thing
from this. Just so you all see the real raw nature of a family vacation.

(21:56):
Family vacation. Rawr.
Rawr. I mean, like Hulk Hogan. Brother. Your brother. Your brother.
If you all could see the eye rolls that are happening in this car, you all could see it.
You would be like, I understand. I understand what she goes through.
I understand what that woman goes through. putting up with that man of hers

(22:19):
man that crazy guy crazy guy you know what what,
funny i do get delirious i'm like
i've said it before i'm like the joker i get crazy sometimes i get crazy you
know i'm not just you're i'm the oddball i and i have accepted it and i understand

(22:39):
it i'm the oddball whatever you know i'm gonna be me you be you you love you
love you i love me I love you. You love me.
We can love each other. Everybody love, love, love, love, love,
love. Love, love, love, love, love.
We're going to read Philippians 3, 20 through 21.
And that was really throwing me off when I was like seeing the order of the

(23:01):
Bible was like all like, and it was because it was alphabetical.
And it's like, I'm not used to seeing that Bible, like Old Testament and New
Testament blended together.
I'm not ready for that. I am not ready for the Bible to be alphabetical.
One. I'm ready for the Alpha and the Omega.
Yeah, you know. You know what I'm talking about. Alpha and Omega.

(23:24):
Winner. Okay. We're going to Philippians 3. 20 through 21. What?
Philippians 3, 20 through 21. Here we go. But our citizenship is in heaven,
and we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,
who by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control,

(23:47):
will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
So explaining citizenship, explaining citizenship.
Should we go down that path? Should we go down on that road it
can be controversial especially in
this a this time that we're living in right now where it

(24:08):
like we're in the united states i i tend to
think about illegal immigration illegal immigrants illegal aliens coming into
our country and it's like let's say i was on the other side of the fence say
i was in another part of this world i was not american i was not you know born
into this nation i tend to think i would probably do the same thing or i maybe i maybe i would try

(24:30):
to come in the legal way maybe i would try to but it's like i don't know if
you're if you're on the other end and where everybody's just trying to get in
as easily as possible and as quick as possible because they think that the window
is short and they want to get into this country.
I don't know i i've thought about that like would i
if i if i was on that other side i tend
to think i would i would try to get in because i would want to

(24:52):
get in and because you wouldn't respect other
nations laws like why would you even care about other nations laws
you know i don't know what do you think is anybody
have any anything i can bounce me off of my my act
my act in the fool my act in the fool honey i what do you think what would you
like if you were like a little like on the other side of things would you try

(25:12):
to get into this country like just come through or would you be like oh i need
to go through the proper way in the right way i don't know like i've thought
about that because i'm like first of all i don't look down as in oh those are
illegal immigrants those are illegal aliens they're just in our country they
shouldn't be in this country i'm like.
It's not them. It has nothing to do with it. They're just doing what they're

(25:35):
doing and what we're allowing.
It has nothing to do with it. They can do all we want. It should be our government
should be doing things to keep our nation safe.
So I don't look at it as an illegal immigrant or illegal alien doing anything wrong themselves.
I don't even see that at all. And it's like if I was on the other side,
I myself would probably try to get in as well.

(25:56):
But it's like as a as an american i
think our country and our authorities or representatives
that we have that are running this country they should be
doing what is to keep the station safe so it's on them has nothing to do with
the people on the other other side that are just trying to get into this country
you know they can do what they what they want and i and i like i said i would

(26:18):
probably try to do the same thing of course you would want to go in the legal
way but it's It's like, if you're outside of this country,
why would, I'm not respecting the laws of China.
I'm not respecting the laws of any other country or Germany or any,
like, I'm not even thinking about their laws.
You deal with the laws of the country that you're in.
I might be completely off basis, you know, what do you all think? Put it in the comments.

(26:43):
That's just me. That's just me, you know. But we are to obey laws that are over us.
But it's like if you're not in that country is that law over you i don't know
what do you all think what do you all think what do you think bonnie yeah i
don't know you probably don't even know i don't know what i'm talking about
do you you know at all what i'm talking about.

(27:05):
I'm talking about germany bieber he did not i remember it was it was it was
a big deal that he did not know what german was when he was younger and they
made out why well yeah but when when i'm talking about bieber i'm talking about
he was they made it such a big thing that he didn't know what Germany was,
or he didn't know what German was. And I was like, why?

(27:25):
Why would they do that? Why would they do that to good old Bieber?
I love me some Justin Bieber.
Justice Bieber. Okay, well, what brought this whole thing up is citizenship.
As Americans, we are citizens of this amazing country, and whatever part of
the world that you find yourself in, you'd be the best citizen you can of that

(27:47):
country and of that nation.
You try to build up that nation, pray for your nation, support your nation,
do everything you can to make it the best possible place you can.
But understanding it is not your home. It is not your complete home and your eternal home.
Your eternal home is with Christ and with God in heaven for all eternity.
I do say that kind of loosely as in heaven for all eternity because Jesus is

(28:12):
going to come back and establish a earthly reign here.
It's not going to be we're all in a little floating disembodied spirits for
all eternity we are going to have physical resurrections we are going to be
in a land that is physical and renovated remade and made new so it's.
It's not just some this ethereal thing that's going to be out there and we are

(28:34):
going to just be like ghosts, you know, playing harps on a cloud or angels playing harps on a cloud.
But we are going to be with God in a physical reconstructed universe, new heavens, new earth.
So when I say our eternal home is with God in heaven, in the future,
heaven and earth are going to be remade and they are going to be rejoined and brought back together.

(29:01):
And it's going to be paradise lost is going to be restored.
And I long for that day. So you have a citizenship that is not just here in
this temporary existence of whatever nation or country you find yourself in,
but you have a citizenship in heaven with God himself that's going to be in
this reconstructed universe made perfect.

(29:23):
So knowing that your citizenship is temporary here, but it's eternal in the
heavens and the heavens that are to come. Anything else you want me to say about
that, Bonnie, about citizenship?
What do you think, Justin?
Oh, how what? How do we get there?
What do you say? Oh, oh, yeah. So like how we're not automatically citizens.

(29:44):
So like so it's not until you are a Christian that you basically get your your card stamped.
It's like it sounds so weird. Like you get your ticket.
You got your ticket to heaven, you know, but it is a legitimate thing.
When you become a Christian, your name gets put on the rolls of heaven,
that you have your name written in heaven, written on God's hands,

(30:06):
that you are his for eternity. And it's solely by trusting in Christ.
That's how you become a Christian. Then you have a citizenship that stretches
beyond this temporary existence of this world,
this fallen world that is basically destined to be burned up,
but you have a citizenship that is in heaven. It is by trusting in Christ Jesus alone.

(30:28):
Putting your faith in him, then you will have that home, your name written in
heaven with God, and you will become a citizen of heaven.
I know this has been a little bit intense. I get intense when I'm in tents.
I guess I'm not in a tent right now. I am in a car. And we are traveling.
But as any father figure out there, as any parent out there,

(30:49):
you know what family vacations are like.
You know that you've got to pack up. you got to get everything put together
and so that you can travel with your the loved ones that you care about so much
but when you're in tight quarters things can kind of go crazy you know and you
got to be able to be prepared for that so let me take a drink before because i'm just,
smacking my whips all right so i hope you all take to looks all right there's

(31:14):
not even going to be music to this one there's not going to be any transitions
or anything and i i need to i know No, Jesse's rubbing her head.
She's like, what is going on? I was going, all right.
I hope you all took something away from this. I hope it made sense to you in some form or fashion.
I hope you all have good family vacations out there this summer and whatever
you're doing and you can get through it, fight through it, do the best you can
and take care of your loved ones and be useful in God's hand.

(31:38):
Be ready to be used by him and wherever he puts you and know that this is not
your home. Be reminded of it.
Whatever you're going through, if it's good, bad or indifferent,
whatever stage of life you are in, this is not your home.
This is not your home. Your home is with Christ Jesus.
Your home is with Jesus in heaven and with him for all eternity So we have that
to look forward to that is our eternal home and that is what we long for and

(32:02):
that was what's gonna be Reality,
so I hope you all have a wonderful day and I hope you'll have a wonderful week
and we will catch you in the next one. See ya Peace.
