Investing in Exuma: The Yntegra Blueprint
Guest: Felipe MacLean - Yntegra Group CEO In this episode of On the Record, host Jerome Sawyer interviews Felipe McClean, CEO of Integra Group, about the upcoming Rosewood Exuma resort—a $300 million ultra-luxury, low-density development on East Sampson Cay in the Exumas, slated to open in 2028. McClean shares how the vision was born out of a personal visit during the pandemic and was encouraged by local community members. The resort will feature just 33 rooms on less than 50% of the island, with a strong focus on sustainability, cultural preservation, and community engagement. McClean outlines economic benefits, including 400 jobs and $336 million in local wages, as well as efforts to integrate local artists, businesses, and training programs. While acknowledging environmental concerns and public scrutiny, he emphasizes compliance with Bahamian regulations and a long-term commitment to responsible development and community upliftment.
