Lawrence Bittaker and Roy Norris together decided to kidnap, rape, torture and murder five teenage girls over a 5-month period in 1979 in southern California. They would torture their victims with instruments which could be commonly found within any household toolbox, therefore earning them the name, The Toolbox Killers.
