These modules all run at the same time – concurrently – and communicate with each other to achieve a common goal.
So, instead of one giant AI trying to do everything, you have a bunch of smaller AIs, each specializing in a specific task. And here's the kicker: they don't just blindly follow instructions. They can adapt, communicate, and even correct each other if something goes wrong. It's like a team where everyone can think for themselves and pitch in where needed.
The coolest thing? This all happens asynchronously, which is a fancy way of saying they don't have to wait for each other to finish before starting their own tasks. This speeds everything up and makes the whole system much more flexible.
The researchers are even saying this approach is like a real-world version of a theory by Marvin Minsky called the "Society of Mind". Minsky believed that intelligence arises from the interaction of many simple agents, not from one single, all-powerful processor.
