(00:00):
Welcome back to Planet Phoenix.
I'm your host, Matt, and I thank you for being here today.
I want to start this episode off by communicating what I experienced this morning.
as I woke up, I had the song, Don't Look Back in Anger by Oasis in my head.
the title of that song was very clear as far as the communication that I was beingprovided in that moment.
(00:22):
because this week in particular, I have found myself revisiting past events and or pastrelationships that I still hold anger with.
I don't hold the same degree of anger as I did a year ago, five years ago, or even 10years ago, but there's still layers of anger to work through.
by receiving the song today, it allowed me to start the process of not only havingawareness of the anger, but
(00:47):
really starting to release it.
And this particular week, I have found this sense of feeling.
Like a bigger release is currently happening along with...
new positive energy coming into my life.
But our emotions aren't, my emotions as well, aren't black and white.
So it's, don't go through a round of healing and then suddenly I'm no longer an angryperson.
(01:11):
It's depths of anger that I have to work through within my unconscious self that wasformed throughout my life.
And this week in particular is an opportunity to let go of it.
by letting go of it, I can bring in more.
it also feels like the anger is kind of tired of being angry.
(01:32):
If that makes any sense.
It's like the emotion itself is not servicing me the way it used to.
And I'm able to
walk with the anger out of my beingness.
it feels much more of a partnership with that emotion and maybe perhaps my ego as well, because it isn't allowing us to go further So.
(01:55):
I kind of took that as a really nice way to start the day I decided to look at the lyricsfor the song they didn't resonate with me as much, but the title definitely does because
looking back in anger throughout my life is keeping me stuck in the past and then lookingat the past only through a negative lens there's no use of that anymore.
(02:16):
It's ready to go, so might as well.
allow myself the release and bring in peace and look at the past with the understanding ofgratitude of what past events and relationships have taught me and how those experiences
have helped me become who I am in this present moment.
So with that I decided this is my day off and I wanted to go to the park with my dog JoyAnd we had it up to a local dam here in New York
(02:45):
as I was walking, I saw a lipstick that was on the ground.
Someone had left it or dropped it by accident.
I guess the brand name was Deep Renewal.
that really stuck out to me even more.
I really appreciated seeing that on my walk because that's also how this week has felt isthat there is a deep renewal happening within myself, which is allowing me to be more
(03:09):
comfortable to explore my inner world, but also explore my inner and external creativeworlds, such as doing video podcasts.
And that's been very exciting.
it's also this deep renewal is
providing me more peace throughout my day.
So if there are stressful situations that come up or anxiety arises, I'm able to releaseit a little bit easier.
(03:35):
I would even dare to say a lot easier because that anxiety, that guilt, that stress, it'snot me at the end of the day.
It's a result of years of feeling a certain way.
and that becoming my thought pattern, my habit and or belief system based on past events.
those past events don't dictate who I am in the present moment.
(03:58):
I ultimately can choose.
Do I remain in a state of fear or anger?
Or do I understand why I'm feeling it?
Take some time to simply breathe and then allow myself to move on from it.
more and more I'm allowing myself to move on from it it's bringing a lot of peace to mypresent moment and allowing me to focus on my present moment.
I got back in the car with joy.
(04:18):
And as I was blasting the air conditioning for both of us, I saw a car from across the wayin the in the garage in the parking lot, excuse me.
And the license plate had repeating numbers 9696.
I'm a fan of
Angel numbers, I think they are a great tool that our guides use to help communicate to us
(04:44):
I saw 9696 and I decided to just quickly look it up and have artificial intelligence giveme its interpretation of what angel number 9696 means.
the AI came back with this.
Angel number 9696.
signifies the end of a cycle and encourages you to release old patterns to embracepositive changes in your life.
(05:06):
It emphasizes spiritual growth, personal development, and the importance of moving forwardwith the focus on your higher purpose.
So between the song this morning, Don't Look Back in Anger, this left behind chapstick orlipstick that expressed deep renewal,
and then this angel number 9696.
(05:27):
I find myself in a very great situation, which is ultimately to release this additionallayer of anger that still exists with me and how I apply it to past relationships and
events.
Because by letting it go, I can bring in positive energy as well as more importantly, transformation into my own life.
(05:48):
it's
great to be able to see how my external world can communicate with me to help meunderstand myself a bit more.
I'm excited not to look back in anger any longer.
and ready to release that aspect of myself.
Part of me wants to express how that internal awareness correlates to our external world, but I'll be honest with you.
(06:13):
I have thoughts on it, but I'm not really ready to make that kind of assessment yet.
I feel like I need to kind of meditate on how I would articulate that a bit more before Imade that assessment.
I guess the one thing I will comment on is it's the summer.
It's hot here in New York.
People are agitated.
Agitation turns into anger.
(06:35):
Anger not correctly checked through self centeredness as well as breathing can
result in challenging situations.
So maybe like my last episode, I'll use my own experience as an opportunity to provide arequest, which is if you feel agitated, if you feel angry during this time, first and
(06:58):
foremost, it's absolutely natural and it's okay.
I think I'm echoing the same kind of request as I did in the last episode, which is,please don't take your anger out on somebody else.
If you need to walk away from a situation because it's becoming too much do exactly thatyou don't even have to get into nature, just go for a walk and remove yourself from that
environment that's causing that anger to arise.
(07:20):
I had to do that.
a few times this week while I was at work where I was feeling thoughts about my past andyou know these negative thought patterns started to come in and it was like let me just
immerse myself in the book that I'm reading which is based in love and wisdom after a fewpages I was kind of releasing that anger a lot more.
(07:42):
The last aspect of this, don't look back in anger and kind of in correlation with theAngel number 9 6 9 6 is letting go of past behaviors and specifically for me when my anger
arises, it's very natural for me to want to get that comfort food.
I want to get that ice cream or I want to eat frozen pizza and or
(08:05):
energy drinks.
they're not good for you.
They're not good for your nervous system.
it may provide me, it does provide me very temporary relief.
But afterwards, I don't feel good about it.
It didn't help my anger go away.
I'm just kind of piling on bad stuff onto bad stuff.
So another lesson from this week.
(08:26):
a continued lesson throughout my life but another lesson this week that I'm seeing as anopportunity is it's time to let go of the physical and material aspects that no longer
serve me.
The reality is is I've had plenty of those pizzas or plenty of those energy drinks and youknow they're not they're not doing anything new for me they're not helping me heal so
(08:51):
why not also let go of those physical and material aspects to then bring in new physicaland material aspects that are healthy for my body, mind, and soul.
So I think that's a good place to end.
