It can be easy to think of God just up there in Heaven waving a finger at us, saying "you should have this figured out by now" or "can you just pull up your bootstraps already?" But yet God is gracious and compassionate in the midst of our "figuring out", pain and suffering. Even when we're living in deliberate sin, he's still waiting on us and wants to restore us.
