(00:00):
So Hi.

(00:02):
Welcome to Practically Magic.
This is our season two wrap up episode.
Uh, I decided as tradition dictates, we are gonna have Just Blane as our guest slash producer slash ride the Wave media slash expert on keep going, keep going, is the, yeah, this is the man of the, the, the behind the curtain, the wizard.

(00:29):
I really do appreciate you asking me to be on, I saw the message come through and I was like, what? Courtney wants me on her show.
Yes.
But I do have to make sure you, you did pay my agent the, uh, appearance fee.
Right.
You, you already took Oh yeah.
We're all good.
We're all good.
Okay.
Just making sure.
We might be paying in healing sessions, but there we go.

(00:52):
Those are worth a lot.
A lot.
they are, they are.
ready for this? ready for this.
So I, I mean, I know I watched this show, so I'm ready for the tarot card pool.
That's what we're doing first, right? We gotta get to that.
We got the card pull.
Uh, I picked a deck specifically that I thought, okay, what is, what is Blane's vibe? What's his energy? What do we need here? It's actually an Oracle deck, but I'm going with the o the elemental Oracle deck.

(01:19):
This was the first Oracle deck I ever got.
Someone gifted it to me, actually.
Wow.
Um, so it's not tarot, but.
It's pretty powerful.
We have the card when you'll love this.
This has like silvery foil on the Oh, alright.
Listeners will have to watch YouTube if you wanna see that.
'cause it's pretty, it's pretty incredible I'm, foil.

(01:42):
I'm shiny four and I'm, wait a minute.
Are you pulling out a deck of Pokemon cards, it sounds like, is that what you got? Oh, don't get me started.
My 11-year-old hasn't stopped talking about Pokemon No, I.
No, I got a box of baseball cards up here I'm looking to open, but is this the same kind of thing or are we doing You know 34? have always wanted to try reading a deck of baseball cards or something like that.

(02:05):
I have read cards Wow.
I have done that.
In fact, I started teaching my son 'cause he loves Pokemon so much.
I'm like, why don't we grab a a, a deck of Pokemon cards and pull one? And you read my future.
You read my, you read what it means for me and he's pretty good at it.
That's a wrap gu.
So season three will be Courtney Pearl.

(02:27):
Just reading Pokemon cards.
That's gonna be a hit.
cards.
That's gonna be a hit.
it.
That's it.
We'll see you guys.
No, I'm.
Your card for today though, I think is, and that this is for you, but it's also for our listeners.
All right.
So this actually falls really, really well in line with the seasons because we're coming up on.
Summer solstice or litho, if you know the, the technical terms for the wheel of the year, marks of the year.

(02:54):
Um, so we have summer solstice coming up and this is the electricity card? I'm electric.
The word that they put with it is wildness.
Wildness, which I think to me it symbolizes like the, uh, the, the turning, the wheel of the year.

(03:15):
We're coming into summer, right? So we're coming into a really adult, sort of energy.
It's Okay.
stage of coming into adulthood.
And a lot of people associate adulthood with like, ugh, responsibility.
We're getting weighed down.
But actually, if you think about it, it's that like freedom.

(03:36):
That feeling like you just turned 16 and you got your driver's license and the keys to the car for the first time.
that kind of vibe.
It's like I, the world has just opened up to me.
feel like it's fitting with what's going on in your life right now? I.
Yeah, it does actually.
Um, I love that interpretation and I noticed that you, you like to go to the younger.

(04:01):
Age of somebody like recently me and you got the privilege, and I do mean privilege of hosting a, a panel of discussion at Pride, daybreak pride.
Yes.
And the best question out of all that, and I don't know how it must have, maybe it was a heat dream or something, I don't know what was going on, but you asked this question, you said, what would they write to their, what? 6-year-old self? Their, their child.

(04:29):
I started thinking about all that stuff.
I was doing that yesterday.
I was thinking about it even.
Uh, but it sticks in my mind.
And I love that.
You, you, you talk about that stuff.
You even did that throughout the season too.
Um.
inner child work is definitely my niche.
If I was to think of a, a particular healing, um, niche that I have, I don't know.

(04:54):
Uh, but inner child work has always been really powerful and I, I, I find that.
That was where a lot of the panel discussion was going anyway, because a lot of 'em were talking about this is what I would want, you know, kids who are coming out or, you know, transgender or their identity and what they would, what, what I want them to know is, don't give up and there's someone you know, there's better out there for you.

(05:21):
It's gonna get better.
And, and then I thought to myself, what if somebody said that to you when you were six or when you were younger? I mean.
That's the kind of sessions I love is the ones where people come to me and when they're talking to their younger self and they say something, sometimes all it is, is that like one thing where they go, you're loved or you're safe, or just that one thing they say and then the tears start coming.

(05:48):
Or they're like, they're, they feel the release, they feel the like energy behind that and it feels real.
It's real time travel.
They're going back to their younger self and they're gonna be like.
I'm good now.
I I've got what I need and it's okay that I didn't have it then.
'cause I have it now.
I love that.
What? But seriously, what an incredible experience that was.

(06:10):
Uh, was, did catch.
Flack.
I did catch some flack over my ocean comment, but I wasn't wrong.
I'm not wrong though.
I'm not wrong.
If people out there can change the name of a body of water easily that the body of water doesn't even care about, then it's not hard to call somebody by whatever they want to be called by.
Come on.
Yeah.

(06:31):
Just respecting, just respecting a person really is all it is.
'cause uh, uh, it's possible that some people in the audience still aren't sure about, you know, maybe their child is coming out transgender, and they're like, well, I'm, I'm scared.
I don't know what that means.
I don't know if I should be protecting them from something or, you know, things like that.
And, um, sometimes the advice is just, why don't you just honor where they're at? Whether you think it's right or wrong really doesn't matter Yeah.

(07:00):
what your child needs is someone to say, I see you.
Right? You, see you.
I see what you wanna be called.
I, you're telling me these are your pronouns.
I'm gonna respect it no matter what I think.
I mean, you touched on this end, I guess, uh, I'm looking at, we're talking about season two.
It was episode eight.
You did the emotional healing.

(07:20):
There was an emotional healing Mm-hmm.
uh, that, that you, I don't remember if you dove into the inner child work, but I'm sure you did because.
It has to relate to that, but, Yeah.
And we, and I did even more in depth with that in the inner child's, um, episode right.
yeah, that I, towards the end of the season Okay.

(07:43):
That was season two.
That's right.
That's right.
Maybe I do need to catch up.
Maybe I need to catch up.
That's all right.
You know? It.
That's why it's all out there.
And folks, if you're like, what is she talking about? There's all these things I don't know about.
That's why season one and season two are all out for you to watch and listen Alright You can do it anytime.

(08:05):
on the YouTube channel.
favorite episodes, the ones you liked, and that stuck to you.
I know your favorite.
I'm not gonna jump on that one just yet though.
I don't wanna jump on that one.
We're gonna talk about that one in depth probably, and I don't wanna.
Lots of Too much.
That was that.
That's life.
That was a life changing.
Well, you know what I gotta ask about first? Hold your arms up.

(08:28):
Cha.
Oh, you can't even see it.
You got two tattoos this season.
And not only that, you did it on camera Mm-hmm.
artist, Liberty.
Liberty, the tattoo artist.
That was one of my favorite ideas.
I was like, and the first time I went in to see her, we had such a good conversation.

(08:48):
We were talking about spirituality and tattoos and you know, connecting with our ancestors, and I'm like.
I wish I had the camera and the microphone.
And I'm like, so when I asked her, I'm like, if I come back for for the next time, would you record with me? And she was like, oh, absolutely.
Sure.
She was a little nervous.
She was like, oh, I don't know.

(09:10):
But you can hear even in the audio, the the tattoo pen going, you know 'cause she's working on my tattoo while we're talking.
While we did that interview, Yeah, there was, I mean, I don't, I've done this for a long time, a lot of history.
I don't think I've ever done a live of tattoo recording.

(09:31):
No, I don't think I have.
So you just special.
me a, uh, that's a brand new thing for me, so congrats.
I need a, an award or something, or I.
Most original idea.
And I mean, if it had been more of a painful tattoo that other people may have experienced, I may not have been able to do it that way.

(09:52):
I wanted to like record or like have a mindset where I could talk while we were doing it.
but it wasn't too bad.
I could handle the pain level was all right for me and.
I got it right here.
I got a piece of this.
Let's see this. 172 00:10:12,432.20324877 --> 00:10:13,302.20324877 You were so focused. 173 00:10:13,302.20324877 --> 00:10:14,292.20324877 You don't even know what she's saying. 174 00:10:14,292.20324877 --> 00:10:22,872.20324877 Do you, Courtney, looks like you look like you're fighting back tears in this. 175 00:10:22,872.20324877 --> 00:10:29,382.20324877 Are you, was it, was it rough? Yes, Tiffany is, uh, my mentor, my teacher, kind of, um. 199 00:11:51,747.20324877 --> 00:11:55,887.20324877 It's kind of an amazing story because I met her doing the pilgrimage in England. 200 00:11:56,667.20324877 --> 00:12:02,307.20324877 had just moved to Wales at that time, so she was really excited to say like, I am a resident of Wales. 201 00:12:02,307.20324877 --> 00:12:03,537.20324877 I live in Wales now. 202 00:12:03,537.20324877 --> 00:12:05,187.20324877 And that was really exciting for her. 203 00:12:06,177.20324877 --> 00:12:14,367.20324877 uh, she's been a part of the Sisterhood of Avalon for a long time and has several books out and um, and so I got to meet her in person there first. 204 00:12:15,762.20324877 --> 00:12:18,282.20324877 Uh, then get to know her work a little bit more. 205 00:12:18,342.20324877 --> 00:12:22,302.20324877 And then it was had to do an episode on Alchemy. 206 00:12:23,712.20324877 --> 00:12:31,92.20324877 You know, realizing that a lot of the work that we do in the healing world or in Energetics, it coincides really well with Alchemy. 207 00:12:31,932.20324877 --> 00:12:33,462.20324877 I didn't know anything about it. 208 00:12:33,522.20324877 --> 00:12:41,622.20324877 I was like, but what is it exactly? Is it actual chemical reactions that you're doing? Are you like a scientist with little, little. 209 00:12:42,267.20324877 --> 00:12:42,537.20324877 Yeah. 210 00:12:42,837.20324877 --> 00:12:46,152.20324877 flasks and tubes and things, and you're like making gold. 211 00:12:46,332.20324877 --> 00:12:58,122.20324877 What? But it, is it more theoretical or is it, the history behind it? What is an alchemist? And she's the first person I thought of because I knew that she knew all of the things that I needed to know. 212 00:12:58,182.20324877 --> 00:13:03,207.20324877 So having her on the show was one of my top, top moments. 213 00:13:03,507.20324877 --> 00:13:06,837.20324877 you learn what you wanted to know about Alchemy? Tell us a little bit about it. 214 00:13:06,837.20324877 --> 00:13:07,497.20324877 Tell us what you. 215 00:13:08,247.20324877 --> 00:13:18,177.20324877 Ever since that interview and she recommended before the interview I said, what do I need to read up on? Like, uh, if you've ever watched the TV show, uh, they have the dead files and they have a, uh, an old, investigative PI guy and he's like the logical guy. 621 00:42:18,972.2032488 --> 00:42:23,502.2032488 He doesn't really believe in or understand or know a whole lot about the paranormal. 622 00:42:23,832.2032488 --> 00:42:26,322.2032488 Then you have a medium and they work as partners. 623 00:42:26,652.2032488 --> 00:42:34,122.2032488 He goes and like investigates a home, a family, their property, the history of it, all the things that he can find out. 624 00:42:34,452.2032488 --> 00:42:39,222.2032488 And then she goes into the house and does a reading and discovers like what entities are in the house. 625 00:42:40,122.2032488 --> 00:42:48,192.2032488 oftentimes she will tell them the owners of the house, like, if you need to cleanse this house, you're gonna need to go find a reiki master. 626 00:42:48,492.2032488 --> 00:42:52,872.2032488 You're gonna need to go find a, you know, maybe, um, somebody that. 627 00:42:54,342.2032488 --> 00:42:56,292.2032488 You know, as an authority figure in spirituality. 628 00:42:56,292.2032488 --> 00:43:17,772.2032488 So it's interesting to me because you've got, gotta know a little bit about what kinds of entities, the, what's the difference between a poltergeist and a, you know, just a, a trapped soul or dark energy or shadow figures or, um, what some people refer to as demons. 629 00:43:18,72.2032488 --> 00:43:18,552.2032488 Oh yeah. 630 00:43:18,702.2032488 --> 00:43:22,692.2032488 what that would actually be, if that was something so. 631 00:43:23,442.2032488 --> 00:43:35,547.2032488 Yeah, I think that the deep dive into some ghost movies could result in some very interesting conversation And it sounds like you are knowledgeable in these haunting types. 632 00:43:36,537.2032488 --> 00:43:39,132.2032488 Why don't, but how about, more. 633 00:43:39,432.2032488 --> 00:43:44,307.2032488 how about I dig up some movies for us and we start watching these and we do the Ghost movie project. 634 00:43:45,287.2032488 --> 00:43:48,507.2032488 It's on this wanted to try. 635 00:43:49,397.2032488 --> 00:43:50,257.2032488 You heard it here. 636 00:43:51,912.2032488 --> 00:43:54,972.2032488 I'm not picking stuff like Casper, the friendly ghost. 637 00:43:55,2.2032488 --> 00:43:56,832.2032488 I, these are gonna be some, some stuff. 638 00:43:57,72.2032488 --> 00:44:07,452.2032488 I mean, that right there from a 24 was uh, bring her back and the same directors for that did another a 24 flick called Talk to Me. 639 00:44:08,937.2032488 --> 00:44:09,972.2032488 That's gonna be on the list. 640 00:44:09,972.2032488 --> 00:44:10,902.2032488 I'm, I'm telling you right now. 641 00:44:10,902.2032488 --> 00:44:11,442.2032488 Talk to me. 642 00:44:11,442.2032488 --> 00:44:12,402.2032488 Will be on there. 643 00:44:13,662.2032488 --> 00:44:14,382.2032488 I loved it. 644 00:44:15,147.2032488 --> 00:44:17,997.2032488 I loved, I almost watched it last night, by the way. 645 00:44:17,997.2032488 --> 00:44:18,717.2032488 I, I did. 646 00:44:19,172.2032488 --> 00:44:20,997.2032488 I put it on, I had to We're gonna turn. 647 00:44:21,42.2032488 --> 00:44:22,302.2032488 good list together. 648 00:44:23,262.2032488 --> 00:44:34,572.2032488 And then we'll be able to deep dive into a couple of movies episode, and we'll talk about maybe the different types of hauntings, what we see going on in the movie. 649 00:44:34,932.2032488 --> 00:44:41,952.2032488 And then just for fun, because we like the horror movies, we'll just do deep dives into the movie themselves, the actors, the making of the movie. 650 00:44:41,952.2032488 --> 00:44:45,792.2032488 Any kind of cool and information we come across and it'll be, it'll be super fun. 651 00:44:46,227.2032488 --> 00:44:52,47.2032488 You know what?
