Yeah, so I do believe what we'reseeing here is I sit in the
desert, I weave these puppets.
They are my children.
They are my babies.
They're
I sit
spirits.
And I believe that's what we're seeinghere is you're seeing my babies.
You're seeing my spirits, my puppets.
My daughters.

think another thing that you're seeingthere, these poppits are called Poppy's
Poppy's poppits.
Poppy
poppits.
Poppy was her dad.
called everybody called him Poppy.
He was a healer.
And so a lot of the ideas and the energythat went into this project to begin with
came from your connection with your dad.
So we wanted to leavea trail of his healing

and this life where he'snot able to any longer.
Yay.

He was an amazing, I literally watched him
by a gas
walk up to a person that was sleepingunder a tree by a gas station, take his
shoes off and give them to the guy, hobbleback to the truck and his wife drove him
home to put some other pair of shoes on.

He was that kind of person.
he was that, that generous.
Yeah.
He would help anybody that needs help.

What is it that you practice?

So I practice northerntradition shamanism.
brand of shamanism
tradition shamanism is the brand ofshamanism that comes from northern Europe.
So a lot of the Scandinavianpeople practice this.

It is theorized that the brand ofshamanism practiced by the Scandinavians
probably came from the Sami people,which are just to their north.
So
to keep my focus.
I do a lot of healing work.
That's where I like to keep my focus.
Mm-hmm.
There are a lot of things you cando with shamanism, obviously, but
the healing work, helping people

with soul fragmentation or astralintrusions, those kinds of things.
A lot of the work that I do ismore geared towards the healing
of the energy body and the spirit.

you think of runes as spirits,

So when you're working with runes,you have to think of them that way.
And then it becomes like a 24 card Oracledeck or however many runes you've got.
So it's a very spirit led, spirit guidedkind of divination method, I think.

Very sacred and ancient, I can tell.
I mean, that's something that maybe Ihaven't felt like I've been able to give
it all the attention, respect it deserves.
So I have just let it sitfor now and I have my runes.
I have runes made specifically from anapple tree we had to cut down in our yard.
And I want to have purpose.
I wanted it to have personal connection.
So I have those and my father-in-law hashelped me make them even though he is not

So I started out researchingmy ancestry and I got a lot of
information on my, the Mayan side,

that side, my father's sideof that part of my ancestry.
So I do Mayan astrology and divination.
I really delve deep intowhy you are the way you are.

Now I wasn't lookingfor anything like that.
I don't even know what broughtme to go, I have to go to this.
I just, need to know more about this.
And I mean, it wasn't somethingI was even looking for.
So I signed up and I came by myself.
It was kind of awkward because usuallyyou try to a friend to go with or
whatever, but I'm like, well, here I am.
And I did want to go there anywayand kind of talk to the people at
Cron's Hollow and kind of just get
get to know people and networkand just be in the spaces.
So that's fantastic.
And I also needed a new cauldron,which I still need to pick one up,
but that's a whole other thing.
So yeah, I was able to go to the classand I was really fascinated because you
had explained how poppets, know, they'renot what can sometimes be confused
So that brings us to how I found you.

know, is like as voodoo dolls or islike sticking pins to harm someone,
that kind of imagery comes to mind.
And you're like, that's not what this is.

It's funny the first time...

The first time her mom, who is not on apath of magic, the first time she saw the
puppets, they scared the crap out her.
She's god, those are scary!
Like, no, no, theseare not food and dolls.
actually help you heal.

They make you feel better.

yes, but there is thatmisconception out there and no...

we do not create anythingthat could harm anybody.
are protected, they do no harm,and if put in the wrong hands for
someone who would want to do harm,they deactivate automatically.
So they will only heal.

Yes, and then I loved specificallya lot of times in my healing work
and I do emotional process healing.
do Reiki.
I do several different modalities, but I
engage with the Celtic cycles of healing.
And that's where even in anyother modality I do, it's always

kind of the thread of what I do.

People will come to me and they'relike, I've lost a loved one.
I'm in a lot of pain and
lot of pain
that specific kind of painor that specific kind of
suffering is not something that
works the same way as like
in healing work, I feel works thesame way as like I've been through

trauma and I would like to heal.
I would like to process that trauma.
I would like to, you know, andI never say healing is fixing.
I never define it that way, but thatis kind of what they're looking for is
like, I'm looking to fix the suffering.
So I don't have to suffer anymore.
And with trauma, there's a lot of waysto go to process it and to view it and

to work it out where you do feel better.
But grief is something so sacred.
It's not meant to be.
The
in the same way, likeit can't just be like,

you're just gonna feel better now.
You've had a great loss.
So when you said grief and loss is areally big part of what the puppets

So I always felt kind of a littlebit lost on how to help people in
that way to understand that grief isactually love in a different form.
And you don't heal that, youdon't fix that, you don't get
rid of that, you don't, you know.

can be helpful for, that was reallypowerful to me and to be like, this
could be something entirely its ownthing to be specifically for that, right?

And so I took these girls home andagain, they're a pair, sisters.

She's weaving magic.

the spirits with these puppets,it's a practice of calling in that
magic and making that a physicalmanifestation of the spirit.

I will do this with the intentionof whatever she's needing right now.

packed up and went and she's like,look, I'm bringing it with me.
And she's taking the pop with like.

you know, it's that thatis so that's amazing.

As I sit and listen to you guystalk about the whole weaving thing.

Weaving, a lot of people seethat as a very mundane thing.
Weaving, especially in a magical context,is very strongly connected to the Nornir.

talks about the fact that they're

There are more than just thethree Nornir, the ones that
represent past, present, future.
People who weave, especially peoplewho are into magic and do a lot

that happy place, that sereneplace, and you just sit and ground
and you just start doing this,
you will experience something
you will experience somethingthat's just transformative.
