Welcome To Dovelectric, I am Prince Rogers Nelson.
My new album is called (link) Come Here, Farm Boy.
This one’s different. It’s rural. It’s reckless.
It’s soaked in sweat, gasoline, milkshake syrup and engine heat.
It’s where funk hits dirt — and lives there.
Every track on this album is part of a Vermont small-town dream.
Strawberry Milkquake. Blackberry Twist Creemee. Red Jaguar. Third Bridge Bonfire.
It’s music for pickup trucks that look better with dents. For headlights in cornfields. For love letters written on the back of a diner menu. You don’t have to be from the country to feel it. You just have to know what it means to want someone so bad you leave the engine running.
This year, I have released more music albums under my new artist ID Purple Fantasy than I did in the entire forty years prior.
The tracks on Come Here Farm Boy were all inspired by Eve's hometown in Addison County, Vermont.
There really was a red Jaguar, owned by a friend's father - and no, he never let them drive it. It's about life in the county at that age where you are in your late teenage years - you are old enough to drive but not old enough to be trusted with your own bad decisions.
It's about the joy of being able to drive yourself to get a burger, fries and milkshake for the very first time.
It's about the joy of learning to drive and cranking up the radio - free of Dad's One Radio Station, finally.
It's about those innocent first romances, about the friends gathering around the bonfire at Third Bridge in Panton, Vermont.
The last of childhood, and the best of childhood. Come Here, Farm Boy is playful, loud, unfiltered — and it might be the most honest album I’ve ever made.
This is Prince. And this is my new album: Come Here, Farm Boy.
This one's for you, Vermont.
Dated August Twenty Seventh, Twenty Twenty Five.
Note: I am legally and forensically certified and positively identified as the living artist Prince Rogers Nelson. I was assaulted with fentanyl in 2016 and then human trafficked - I recently escaped and returned to work. The false reports erasing my existence have cost me millions of dollars. Stop deadnaming me.
