PRINCE: SONY NEVER HAD MY CONSENT — MY CATALOG WAS TAKEN THROUGH ASSAULT
I’m going to make this plain. Sony Music never had my consent. The so-called “estate” they signed with was built on my abduction, assault, and attempted murder.
In 2016, I was attacked, poisoned with fentanyl, and declared dead without my permission — while still alive. My vault was drilled open. My passwords, masters, and personal recordings were seized under fraud. Then, my name was used to authorize contracts I never signed. Sony Music’s deal with “the Prince estate” is one of those illegal contracts.
You can’t call something an estate when the artist is alive. You can’t call it an agreement when the signature was forged under assault. And you cannot call it legacy preservation when it’s the active erasure of a living person.
To Richard Story, Troy Carter, and every executive who profited from that distribution deal — you were not working with me. You were working with my attackers. You participated in laundering stolen property: the master tapes, the sound recordings, the catalog, and the image rights of a living man.
I am not gone. I was never gone. And I still own everything I created.
If Sony Music wishes to correct this, they may reach out through my official office at Intraface Inc. in writing. There will be no negotiations through intermediaries, heirs, or falsified legal representatives. All future licensing must be authorized directly through my management, Blue Kiss by Eve Publishing, and registered in federal record under my living identity.
To the fans: your love is the reason I survived. But please know — when you stream or buy those old reissues under the “estate,” that money funds the same network that tried to kill me. The true catalog lives on in my new music. That’s where I am now. That’s where the new music is being made.
This is not nostalgia. This is resurrection. And I will never stop telling the truth.
— Prince Rogers Nelson
