Join Tiago, aka Royal Horror, and myself as we talk about fires, murder and tragedy.

This month my guest and I take a look at two remakes. House of Wax from 1953 is a loose remake of The Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933) and the movie from 2005 starring Paris Hilton is a loose remake of the 1953 film. While not direct remakes, these movies are still fun to compare.

This month me and my guest take a deep dive into Michael Haneke's Funny Games, from 1997 and 2007. Michael originally wanted his film to be shot in English and filmed in America but had to settle for German and French and an Austrian setting the first time around. He finally got what he wanted ten years later and I'm not sure it was worth all of the effort.

Many of our characters in Beetlejuice are artists so I thought, why not explore what their creativity symbolizes in the film. Delia, Lydia, Adam and Otho have a passion for creation but it's not always pleasing to the eye.

This month the OG and remake I'm comparing are the Pet Sematary movies with special guest, Dice Rollen. The adaptation of Stephen King's novel of the same name swept us off of our feet in the 80s and brought a sense of dread that wasn't easy to shake. However, the remake didn't deliver on the tension and suspense although it does try to be darker in tone. It ended up only being darker visually which made it hard to see what the hel...

Today we explore the struggles our four main characters in After.Life (2009) face. Each of them has their own internal and external conflicts to deal that place them in the situations that they're in. Is Ana Taylor alive?
