In this episode, I share my experience pruning 26 lavender plants after a long summer of debating whether they should be pulled out. As I worked, God began teaching me profound lessons about pruning, growth, resilience, and His steadfast love. Even misshaped and imperfect, these plants reminded me—and can remind us—that God’s work in our lives is intentional, purposeful, and beautiful.
I reflect on 11 lessons the lavender taught me, including how God never says “oops,” how gaps and losses are only filled by Him, and why being misshaped can actually be growth. This episode is a gentle reminder that even when life feels messy, incomplete, or painful, God’s pruning is shaping something beautiful in you.
What you’ll learn in this episode:
How to see God’s purpose in life’s pruning and hard seasons
Why imperfection doesn’t mean uselessness
