اینکه ایران هنوز راه خود را به سمت توسعه پیدا نکرده است؛ یک موضوع اختلافی میان صاحب‌نظران و متفکران نیست. با وجود فرصت‌های تاریخی و بزنگاه‌های مهمی که هر کدام می‌توانست نقطه شروع خوبی برای مسیر توسعه ایران باشد؛ همچنان نگران این هستیم که وضعیت فردای ایران بدتر از امروز نباشد.
در حال حاضر اختلاف نظرات متعدد و مهمی در میان نخبگان در مورد راه برون‌رفت از مشکلات فعلی وجود دارد و به همین خاطر شاید بتوان گفت‌وگو و تعامل جامعه نخبگانی را از قدم‌های اولیه و مهم توسعه کشور دانست.
