The concept of timidity is often viewed as a negative trait, one that is not aligned with the qualitites that are associated with godly attributes. Timidity may hinder one's ability to fully embrace these divine qualities of power, love and self-discipline.

-Danger of reading Humility and believing it to be Timidity. Humility is a characteristic of strength, not weakness. Being timid is fear-based-living. With God, we have nothing to fear.
-So, daily take up your cross. Heavenly treasures, no man can take away.
