A podcast loosely based on music
- We turned 1
- We also discovered (after some amazing stats from kt) that we are, in fact, a (almost) fortnightly podcast loosely based on music!
- Lots of music chat!
- Some interesting choccie chat.
- 3 puns of the week (one unexpected).
- And a 'From The Pouch™' that slayed Matt.
1. We have a podcast pooch - so watch YouTube! 2. There is a LOT of music chat, where kt gives multiple sub 7/10 reviews. 3. A new twist to Pun Of The Week 4. Matt brings a surprise photo memory From The Pouch™
Hello??? 1. There are live chickens... so watch on YouTube 2. Kt brings 3/4 edible and respectable chocolates to round 2 of 'Choccie Chat' 3. Kt sighs at another pun 4. Matt remembers a time when kt's drink of choice was arguably worse than PassionPop 5. A quick rattle off of a musician dinners for 8 was had
After three successful seasons of podcasting and a well deserved break, we are thrilled to be back with our highly anticipated season four premiere!
Lots of music chat including the recent trip to Perth, a new exciting 'Choccie Chat' segment, another shit pun of the week, and a memory From The Pouch™
This week we welcome our very first guest on the pod, and dive into the world of a full-time touring musician. From gigs for 200 people to 6,000 people, he has some great stories that will blow your tiny skippy minds.
Folks... This is Stu Larsen... Enjoy!
Happy New Year! 🎉
Our first episode for 2025 sees us both share a *quick update of what's been happening over the Christmas and New Year break. Kt brings another great memory 'From The Pouch™', Matt shares his kitchen frustrations, and also brings in a new 'Science Experiment'. All top stuff really.
* Not even close to being a quick update
Ho Ho Ho 🎅
Christmas is here, and so is our final episode for 2024! A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has tuned in this year to listen to our silly banter 🙏
In this ep you can listen to Matt mispronounce 'quaffable' 26 times, and 'Goldblum' once! We talk about our favourite moments of 2024, kt brings up something she brought up in 2008, Matt talks about buoyancy but it sinks... HARD, and we celebrate how good women in music are...
BOOM! We're back again and it was nice to catch-up on everything from the last (very fun) few weeks! kt is still recovering from hiker's chafe (probably cause she wore the same pair of undies for 7 days straight), and Matt has been busy on the road with Alta Falls shows in Melbourne and Adelaide. A cheeky double pun this week and a frosty memory 'From The Pouch™'.
YoYo Mr White! We're 16 eps deep now and Matt might have officially lost the plot!
Here is a quick rundown of what you'll get in this ep:
1. kt shares her experience with a big oily deck 2. Matt finally gets a pun across the line 3. kt's turn with 'This or That' 4. Matt breakdances 5. kt leaves* 6. Some amazing 'gaps in knowledge' are shared 7. An album review is set 8. A bad gig 'From The Pouch™' is shared 9. Birthday Palooza me...
How Howdy Hey! We're back with very little music chat this week. kt shares her news of spending a night with a bush rat who was only after one thing.... typical! She also spent some time in Sydney with her fambam and enjoyed a 'mystery picnic, while Matt caught up with some old teachers at his primary school's 50th anniversary. Apparently the worst pun to date was stated, and we learned that kt would take a wet finger..... we'll le...
21 years between drinks!! We go off topic for a wee moment this week to celebrate the recent AFL Premiership win of the Brisbane Lions 🦁 🏆 🦁 We do make it somewhat music related with chats on Katy Perry, Tina Arena, and Cody Swimson (now Simpson again). Kt runs through the 9,000 gigs she's been to since last ep, she tests Matt's knowledge on an unknown artist to his world, and Matt shares his embarrassing public urination disa...
WE.ARE.BACK!! After hibernating for the 6 weeks of winter that Brisbane offers each year, and after a rough trot of the flu and a Menty B, season two has landed!
In this episode we catch-up on all things tour related for Alta Falls, go into some big chats around 'click track', hear a Music Pun Of The Week which got a giggle, and Matt shares a recent event which prompted this week's From The Pouch™.
13 days into the Paris Olympics and we need some sleep! Between watching the Aussies dominate and then complaining about being tired the next day, we've also both been out to see some live music. Rehearsals are underway for the AF Tour, 'From The Pouch'™ is heavily redacted, and Matt throws down a challenge that could keep some physios in business.
Legs Eleven, Skippys! This episode is 89% based on the 2024 Paris Olympics, and everything we've loved from the first 3 days. The other 11% covers the usuals: From The Pouch™, Music Pun Of The Week, and a song review challenge for next week, which all still included #olympicchat.
We've hit double digits (thanks captain obvious)! This week kt kicked things off with the devastating news that she'd wrapped her car around a pylon leaving the gym, only to learn Matt did the exact same thing a number of years ago - I guess it is really easy to get a license down under. There's quizzes, there's puns (yes, it's plural), there's 'This Or That', and a fun memory from the pouch.
What does 'Tongue and Groove' mean to you? kt pulls her and Matt's first gig 'From The Pouch'™ this week, there is a huge 'Music Pun Of The Week' redemption, a new round of 'This or That' comes to the table, and we take a walk down memory lane sharing our favourite gigs at 'The Zoo'.
How Howdy Hey, we're back with Episode 8, and Matt might have found the worst 'Music Pun Of The Week' yet! Kt tells us that out of the 105mins of the Celine Dion documentary, she wept for a solid 93 mins - let's hear her review! Kt was surprised with 'ChickenChat2.0', and Matt lets us know about his run in with Bell's Palsy 😜
Clearly hot cinnamon donuts are preferred overall, but kt holds strong on her love for pink iced buddies. Matt brings us an uneggspected amount of chicken chat, there is an ode to a very special lady, and a double 'Music Pun Of The Week' gets Matt's juices flowing like a 92 year old man winning bingo.
Did we see the 'final' ever gig at The Zoo?? We don't think so, but it was memorable for quite a number of reasons. Katie and Tyrone Noonan blew us away (and kt wallis blew a few people away herself) with their live performance of their award winning album 'Polyserena'. 'From The Pouch'™ is back with a hidden surprise, and Matt almost gave himself a hernia in the latest 'This or That'.
Skippys... that is what our listeners are now called thanks to us living in a democracy (Pouchies never stood a chance)! This week kt got the phone call she's been waiting for her whole life, Matt told possibly the worst 'Music Pun Of The Week' yet, and we took some of our favourite memories 'From The Pouch'™
