Skogsbrukets villkor är i hög grad beroende av externt beslutsfattande på myndighetsnivå och inom politiken. Frågor som rör såväl hållbarhet, fossilfrihet och cirkulär ekonomi som ägande, brukande och skogliga produkter har kommit allt högre upp på agendan, både nationellt och inom EU.
Denna gång samtalar vi om hur EU är organiserat och vad vi bör och kan tänka på inför EU-valet den 9 juni 2024. Vi har besökt Södras näringspolitiska enhet där vi träffar Marcus Svensson som är näringspolitisk chef, Malin Pettersson som är näringspolitisk specialist med fokus på skogsbruks- och miljöfrågor och Jenny Öhlin som är EU-koordinator. Södra är en av Sveriges skogsägarföreningar som består av 52 000 medlemmar. Vi som samtalar och ställer frågor till Marcus, Malin och Jenny är Åke Carlson och Harald Säll.
