(00:00):
Spend 15 minutes a day
not creating content.
That's right,
but instead
connecting with the people
that come to your content.
Reply to comments.
Send a DM to someone who's engaged
with your last post.
Leave three thoughtful comments
on your ideal client's content.
Go after them.
Don't wait for them to come to you.
(00:21):
Just that.
Kind of showing up
online, posting your heart out
and still hearing crickets.
Are you doing all the right things
but wondering why your content
isn't converting your DMs are dry
and your audience isn't buying.
You're not alone
and this podcast is exactly for you.
(00:43):
Welcome to social media marketing
for small businesses,
where strategy meets soul and connection.
Well, that's the secret sauce.
Hi, I'm Cheyenne Claman,
a wife, proud mom of three.
Former actress and fitness trainer.
Turned serial entrepreneur
and online relationship expert.
Over the last decade,
I've built my own brands,
(01:04):
helped dozens of others
grow theirs, and discovered
one powerful truth.
Connection is the real currency.
If you're a service based. Business.
Or high ticket brand
that wants more leads, trust and sales
from social media
without the burnout or fake hype,
you're in the right place.
Each week, I'm bringing you short,
(01:24):
powerful, and packed.
Episodes that feel like a coffee date
with a.
Best friend and biz coach all in one.
Let's turn
your followers into clients
and content into connection.
This is social media marketing for.
Small businesses, and it's about.
To change how you show up online.
Let's dive in, boss.
(01:46):
Let me ask you something.
Are you showing up online consistently
but still wondering why no one's booking?
Are you creating
what feels like great content
but barely getting any DMs
or discovery calls?
Do you ever scroll your own feed
and think this should be working?
If you're nodding along while
I tell you you're in the right place
because here's the hard truth
that I talked about in the opening.
(02:07):
Content alone doesn't convert.
Not anymore.
And not in 2025.
And not in a crowded market
where trust is everything.
The problem is
that content alone
is just not unique anymore.
Chances are what you offer
is not unique either.
Say, perhaps
you are a registered dietitian.
And no, I'm not making fun of you.
(02:28):
It's just that there are now hundreds,
if not thousands of you
showing up online
every single day, probably creating
very similar content
around very similar topics,
but where what you do may not be unique.
What is unique is who you are.
And so the problem that I'm seeing across
social media in 2025
is that you can have
(02:49):
the most gorgeous Instagram
grid, and believe me,
I've seen some
and I've been a little envious of them.
You can post every single day.
You can even repurpose,
schedule, and optimize
until you're blue in the face,
which is all the things
that we've been told
we're supposed to do, right?
But if you're not engaging,
if you're not starting real conversations
with real people, that all your content
(03:09):
is basically talking to an empty room, or
I think in 2025
we can say an empty scroll.
The algorithm doesn't buy from you.
Remember,
you're not trying to please
the algorithm.
They're not the ones
who make the purchase.
People do, and people
only buy high ticket offers.
So I'm talking coaching,
consulting services,
(03:29):
buying a house from you
if you're a realtor when they trust you,
not just when they see you,
when they feel connected to you.
If you want to think of it
almost like online dating,
which I know used to be super taboo,
but now it's just kind of commonplace.
It's very common to hear of people
getting married
and being in a very happy marriage
after meeting online.
(03:50):
And it wasn't the trust wasn't built
when the person saw that
other person's profile
or the really fancy written description.
It's when they started talking,
when they started sliding into the DMs
and connecting and texting and calling
and building that connection.
So when you apply that to your business,
this is where we get to flip the script.
Instead of asking yourself,
(04:11):
what should I post this week?
Try instead asking yourself,
who can I connect with this week?
Who can I serve?
And a comment, a DM or a voice memo?
Whose attention
can I earn by being real and intentional?
I'll tell you
some coach that I once purchased from Y.
They kind of really sealed the deal
(04:33):
for me in my heart
that I knew
they were someone they could trust
as they sent me
a personalized voice message.
I knew it wasn't automated
or wasn't a bot
because it didn't start with a
hey friend, blah blah blah blah.
I think at this point
we've all received one of those.
It actually started as simple with hey,
Cheyenne started with my name,
and then the first few sentences
were all about
(04:54):
something I had posted,
not yesterday,
but something I had posted
within the past month.
So I was really impressed
because this person showed me
that they took the time
to get to know me
as much as my public self
had, basically let
people know see me on social,
and then they
dove deeper
to actually come and message me
about it, to where they got to know
(05:15):
the nonpublic me,
the me that I really am.
And they built that trust
and they definitely got that sale.
And at Kuleana Connect,
this is what we help
our clients do every day.
We actually don't do content,
we don't run ads.
We focus on building relationships.
We start thoughtful conversations
just like the one
I just told you about that coach
(05:35):
I did with me,
with your ideal clients for you.
So your business gets leads,
not just likes
and when you're content
and your connection
strategy work together.
Oh, that's the magic sauce.
That's where the conversions
start happening. Do you want more?
If this is hitting home right now,
I totally get it
because I created this podcast
(05:56):
because I was you,
I was struggling,
I was a small business owner
that was trying to do all the things.
And so when I started finding things
that worked, I was like,
all right, I've got to share this.
So maybe you're realizing right now,
maybe it's not my content,
but maybe it's my connections strategy.
Well, I'm happy
to let you know that my husband and I,
who I run
Kuleana connect
(06:17):
with, just created a brand new guide.
It's called
Five Quiet Reasons
Your Content Isn't Converting
and What to Do.
Instead, it's packed with insight
written for service based business owners
just like you, and it's totally free.

(06:37):

a mechanic of sorts of your social media
and actually talk about
how to build trust,
we'd love to invite you
on a free connection call with our team.
It's my husband and I.
It's no pressure,
no pitch, just an honest conversation
about what's working and what's not,
and how you could shift your strategy

(06:58):

I want you to do this week.

(07:18):
but instead
connecting with the people
that come to your content.
Reply to comments.

with your last post.

thoughtful comments
on your ideal client's content.
Go after them.

Just that just 15 minutes of pure
(07:38):
human interaction
and watch what starts to shift.
Not just in your content,
but in your soul.
I really feel that
this was
what social media
was in the beginning, meant for,
and it's a little piece of my heart
that I get to implore and encourage
you guys to make social
a little more social.

you just need to connect deeper

owner entrepreneur that you know
needs this insight
because we want to help
more small businesses

more people live in their job,
which is their joy of being.
And if you would like to tell me
and give me some feedback
(08:20):

this podcast has been either
blessing you or stressing you.
Hopefully not the second one,
but let me know your honest opinion.

for boosting the podcast
and letting more people know
that I'm here,
that I'm on this side of the internet,
and that so that I can make sure
that I help
more small business owners
get more clients and connect
(08:41):
more than ever before.
Thank you again for listening.

it's not your fault.
