Following on from our previous conversation in episode #19, Matthew Evans joins me once again but this time, to debrief the inaugural Grounded Festival Australia - which took place at Matthew's farm on the 4th and 5th of December in 2024.
What is Grounded?
(From the website:) "GROUNDED is a cross between a world class conference, an informative field day and a cracking food festival. The first one was run in the beautiful Huon Valley in Southern Tasmania in December 2024. Inspired by Groundswell in the UK, and run with their blessing, GROUNDED is reimagining farmer learning by running multiple talks and demonstrations on farm, for farmers and those interested in food systems, soil and even gardening, organised by people with skin in the game. Think good food stalls, good company, and cracking sessions, with a bit of music thrown in".
Matthew shares with us some of the key stories and experiences that came out of this incredible event, and we also discuss the highly exciting news about the 2025 Grounded Festival happening right here in WA on the 19th and 20th September near Bridgetown!
