(00:01):
So you wanr to start a service business or grow the service business that you already have, but you're not exactly sure how to go about it.
Who to ask, and we want to look like we already have all the answers, especially if we've got people working for us.
They expect us to know everything.
I understand this because over four decades ago, I left college, sold my car, and bought my first business.
(00:27):
Since then, I've gone on to start nine More businesses have employed over a thousand people.
Have serviced over 100,000 individual clients and have generated tens of millions of dollars while not losing my mind.
The purpose of this podcast streamlined success is to help you, the service business owner, know what to do, how to go about it, and be a resource.
(00:56):
Sometimes it will be me alone and sometimes I will have guests on here.
But 100% of the information will be valuable and worth the listen.
If you are ready to start scale and succeed and profit in your service business.
If you've already got the business, you're probably at the point of overwhelm.
(01:21):
And this is common.
Know that this happens, it only feels overwhelming because things are out of balance.
We're going to be talking a lot about life balance throughout the course of this podcast, without a sense of life balance, your body suffers.
Your family suffers.
Your relationships all suffer.
(01:43):
Your business will suffer.
Your profits suffer.
Not knowing precisely what to do or how to do it is an issue that every single business owner I've encountered bumps up against, you are not alone, and this information is here to help you succeed in the fastest way possible.
(02:07):
If you're about to start.
You probably have some questions about where should you start? Is it online? Is it virtual business? Is it a brick and mortar business? Are you in sales? Are you in services? Do you have employees? Will you need employees? How do you get your licensing in place? How do you interview, hire, onboard and train a staff.
(02:31):
Those are all things that are necessary components to scaling your business.
A very common issue that I see with the clients who I consult with is that a certain point, they are exhausted, they're working more and making less.
(02:51):
They're terrified about tax payments because there's not always enough money to do that.
They're starting to have sleepless nights.
And feeling a little bit desperate.
It is the rare entrepreneur who doesn't experience this, at least during one phase of business.
In the early startup years, you will encounter a lot of it.
(03:15):
As you grow, you'll start to gain the confidence and know to look for feedback.
And the feedback should always be perceived as just that, if something goes wrong in your business, it's not a failure.
You are not a failure.
It's just your opportunity to look at what just happened, to deconstruct it, see what led up to it, and see how couldn't you do something different the next time.
(03:42):
And if you're still not sure, ask for help.
Post a comment here, let me know.
Let my guests know.
I'll bring on guests that speak specifically to your questions.
One of the biggest issues that I also see is people being afraid to charge what they're worth, not really getting the value from what they're doing that they deserve.
(04:08):
That is such a deep common issue.
It relates back to our money mindset, our family of origin.
How we choose to spend our time, how we truly value ourself.
If you're not 100% positive and confident about the service or product that you are offering, it really does impact your ability to make a clean call to action.
(04:37):
Without that call to action being positioned and priced properly, it's going to cost you in the end.
We will talk about that at length.
I'm so glad that you're here to listen to us.
We'll be posting on a regular basis, and we would love to know what your specific comments, takeaways, questions, or fears are.
(05:01):
Also, if you've had successes, please share them with us.
I'd love to bring you on to talk about what worked for you so we can get the message out to more entrepreneurs on how to successfully and confidently scale their business.
Thank you so much.
I look forward to hearing from you.
