When Chris Heck and his friends moved into a crumbling old house right after high school, they thought they were just getting a cheap place to live. It seemed like the perfect house for the group, until the strange noises started. Curious to make contact with whatever entity they were living with, they utilize a Ouija board and automatic writing - both delivering unexplainable messages. One night, Chris has a sleep paralysis encounter and comes face to face with the entity.
