Hi everyone and welcome to the Art of Pandora. This is Lena from Pandora Shop
and joining us we have Katie as well from Charmingly Baroque.
Today we wanted to discuss some of the latest Pandora releases.
Pandora released its summer collection and just recently released its Icons
of Love collection just a few days ago. How are you going Katie?
Since our last podcast, have you had any Pandora adventures?

Hey, I am doing good. I'm trying to think about At Pandora Adventures,
I did add a couple boy piece from the summer collection.
I added the sparkling Monstera leaf charm.
Yep. And it's really a stunning piece. I did a review of it that is up on the Art of Pandora website.

And I did wear it to the Lion King on Broadway when I went to see it.
What about you? Did you get anything from the summer collection?
Yep, I did get a few things from the summer.
So like you I've got up on the Pandora
app and it showcases some
of the pieces that I got from the summer collection so the most notable
piece that I got was the yellow Murano butterfly I

saw your and sterile leaf review I thought it was
really really cool I love the three different styling options
that you had for it and I also loved loved the Lion
King that you took it to the Lion King and added it to the
Lion King range because of course Pandora also released Lion King charms as
well so I thought it was cool how they had that kind of you know Lion King jungle
(01:27):
vibe and also you could kind of wear the pieces separate to being just a Disney
bracelet too I thought that was really cool.
So for me, I added the pink and yellow Murano Butterfly, which is the same as
the blue one, just different Murano colors.
And it's really pretty. And it's in rose gold rather than silver.
(01:50):
So I thought that was exciting.
And then I also added a few two-tone charms.
So I saw the bike and anything that moves, I'm kind of taken.
So I got the bike because it's got the movable wheels and it's sort of like
another version of the bike they released previously.
And I got the monkey as well with the banana that swings so the two-tone cheeky monkey kind of charm,

yeah so those are the things that I added yeah that
bike is really cute I have the original bike but I do like the the new design
and I agree with you I think it's super cute when anything has like kind of
movable parts so nice there are there are some really cute pieces from it are
there any Is there anything else on your wishlist from the summer collection?
(02:36):
So at the moment in Australia, there's a 20% off storewide sale.
So I definitely have quite a wishlist going that I have to cull down before I actually commit.
Probably I'm going to stick to the Lion King stuff because I only got one Murano.
So I think I'm going to then get another Murano and maybe the Timon and Pumba
(02:57):
Dangle to go between that.
And I'm debating whether I can afford a Simba in there as well.
And that way I'll have a bit more of the Lion King range to add to some of my previous.
I think I had a baby Simba charm or something from previously and a previous
like Hakuna Matata Dangle.
So I'm thinking of just sticking to the Lion King because I know that there's new stuff coming out.

As soon as this finishes, I think it's on the 19th of August for us,
then we're getting all that new stuff, the villains, maybe the icons of love,
I'm not sure. So I'm waiting for.
Yeah I've got to kind of be a bit
careful with how much I buy now but yeah I'm
probably going to add a few more Lion King things what about you Katie
(03:40):
do you have any other things on your wish list from summer I do
I do have a couple I was going to say I do love the
Timon and Pumbaa it's really cute I always
like you know they do kind of like the friendship charm things the
where it's like you know dangles that you know
give one to someone but I feel like you always just
want both parts so it's hard to separate

them out but yeah i i will
say i think that the deadpool and wolverine are really cute
i'm not sure if they were officially part of the summer
collection but i did recently go
see the new deadpool movie i had
not like watched them previously but my
boyfriend made me well i watched the first one like a long time
(04:23):
ago but it gave me me re-watch the first one
and the second and watch Logan so so
then I could then go see the new Deadpool movie and I
did thoroughly enjoy it so those charms are are.
Pretty cute nice nice I def I saw I
actually only recently saw the Deadpool kind of movies
and they're they're very funny I didn't realize how funny they were so actually

those two charms are on my wish list this too because I'll just add them to
all my Marvel you know I've sort of had a Marvel thing going for a while so
I thought I'd add those superheroes as well to that kind of theme but no I agree
with you it's one of those movies that or like series I guess that.
Takes you by so you sort of think oh I might not be actually really really funny
so yeah I'm excited to see the new movie I haven't seen it yet but I'm definitely

keen I think when I saw the first one when it came out a long time ago.
And I think at the time, it was a little bit just too much for me.
But it'll grow up and you'll find the humor in it a bit more.
I also think the golden mini Murano in yellow would be really nice for a Beauty
(05:32):
and the Beast themed bracelet.
So I am considering getting that charm.
And then also the pearl drop earrings, I think, are absolutely stunning.
So they're going on my wish list for maybe hopefully for dear Christmas gift. Oh, nice.
Oh, that's so nice. Yeah, the pearl drop earrings are beautiful. And I agree the...
Murano would be really good for Beauty and the Beast and that's you

know that's one of your signatures isn't it so yeah yeah
I think I'd have to make a whole
second bracelet though that's okay that's okay we're always open to making a
second bracelet they they usually re-release things won't they yeah certainly
so you might add more and more so that's great that's great so have you taken

any summer vacations this year I'm going to ask you because I most certainly
haven't during the initial part of summer, which was the beginning of the year for us.
We were just having a bub. So yeah, I went nowhere.
And I think your summer vacation stories will be probably more exciting than mine this year somehow.
Yeah, we took a couple of vacations. We went to San Antonio, Texas.
(06:39):
We went over there. That's just like a drive for us, a couple hours.
So we went there for a concert and stayed the weekend,
weekend had some tasty text mix
and just kind of hung out and then
we also went to Washington and kind
of did some of the like national parks in the
area so we ended up like hiking that rainier and

not Olympic so and like it was absolutely stunning we also went on a whale tour
which makes me kind of want to add like a whale or something in relation to
like Washington the mid-trip we took to my collection because I didn't buy any charms while I was there.
And then we also just returned from a wedding in
(07:23):
Iowa City so it was it's been
a nice there were two trips back to back but it was a nice
getaway from the extreme Houston heat oh
that's incredible yeah I've got a friend that lives in Texas so
she was saying it was very very hot so that's great that
you got to get away I've been to Washington myself before it's
so beautiful the the national parks there i um did
(07:44):
student exchange at the university of washington so shout
out to any udub alumni out there huskies supporters
i think they were actually doing okay in their football
season which is great so yeah no i know i know exactly where you've been it's
so beautiful there the nature is amazing i definitely think you should add a
add a whale charm that would be great and maybe even like a fish charm or something

like that because they're famous for their salmon and their fishing.
And yeah, they've got pike place markets where they throw the fish.
I don't know if you've ever seen that in Seattle. It's really cool.
Yeah, I did. It was beautiful.
We actually, it was our second trip there. My boyfriend did his master's in Portland.
And so he loves like the Pacific Northwest. And it's kind of trying to talk me into moving. Oh, wow.
(08:32):
Get out of the 100 degree weather that was today. Yeah.
Fair enough. Yeah, it's a beautiful part of the world. So do you have any summer bracelet design?
Yeah, so my summer bracelet design for this year deviated a bit from my usual
theme. My usual theme is ocean related.
I mean, Pandora shark, it comes with the territory, but it's usually ocean related.
(08:54):
So I had all of those beautiful blue kind of hues and Muranos and all the fish
and octopus and crab and little mermaid as a side bracelet as well themes previously.
But this year I decided I would go a more summer heat kind of vibe and went
with warm color spectrum.
(09:14):
So I've got lots of different warm colored Muranos on my bracelet.
The main ones being the sunset Muranos, which I love because they're so versatile.
And you can read about this on the app on my blog post, but I talk about how
I use them for other designs as well,
like Halloween, but they're perfect for that sort of summer
heat warmth kind of
(09:36):
theme and I've got a few other quite old
Muranos actually I've got this sort of yellow one on there
that's that's been around for a long time and I've got a tropical Murano with
the kind of frangipani flowers that go around it I've got a pineapple charm
I've yeah I've added some summer fruit as well because I I love that Pandora
released the strawberries and the cherries and I had a pineapple from years
(09:59):
and years ago as well. So I've got some fruit on there.
I've added the Murano Flamingo that came out. I think it was last year,
maybe the year before. I don't know. Time is a fickle concept when you have a bub.
But yeah, so I've got the Flamingo and then I've added a few sort of animals.
So I've got that monkey that I mentioned that I bought, the two-tone monkey.
(10:20):
I've got a ladybird and then a few sort of summer sports like tennis.
I've got the bike on there. So I've kind of canvassed some Some of the things
that you do and play sport.
I've even got the sailboat on there for, you know, sitting in the sun,
but by the ocean, palm trees.
Yeah. So my summer bracelet is a kind of warm colors, pinks,
(10:43):
oranges, yellows, and I've gone a real mix with the metals.
So silver and two-tone and also even rose gold as well.
And initially I thought, oh, that might not look very good, but because I've
spaced it with the Muranos, I'm actually quite happy with, yeah,
how the design turned out.
What about you? you what does your summer bracelet look like well yours
(11:05):
sounds lovely I actually don't I
have a lot of summer charms I don't have
a summer design that stays together year round
um a lot of times my like summer charms are
more of a something where I'm like putting together like a daily bracelet right
because I'll usually wear like a couple bangles on on my right hands and so
(11:27):
yeah I have I have a lot of like the palm tree and like the old sailboat charm
and flamingo and like pineapple and watermelon.
And so I usually like designing with them like little mini designs.
But I agree with you. I kind of I love the fruit charms because in particular,
like watermelon, of course, like always reminds me of summer and like the good
(11:51):
times that my family used to have because we used to have a pool.
Of course, you know, go hang out by the pool, cut up some watermelon.
That just has like some real nostalgia for me. So that is a favorite charm of mine.
I do have like a travel bracelet with the old Hindora travel charms,
like the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty.
(12:12):
And so I guess I, it's not like full on summer in the sense of.
You know like ocean and seashells etc
but it is a travel bracelet and so
it does remind me mostly of
summer being able to go on those trips that's so great have
you got any charms any vacation charms that
are particularly special so I would say
(12:35):
like well the most recent charm that I purchased on
a trip was while we were in San Antonio and I bought
the little Pandora rose and bloom dangle charm
almost like it's almost like a little mini dangle and
so that was nice because we were just we're actually waiting to try to get back
into houston because there is a hurricane going through so we were delaying
(12:56):
driving back so i bought that while we were out shopping definitely some of
my favorite travel purchases from this year was of course from Disney World.
We went to Disney World in January and so we got some like really nice charms while we were there.
One of my favorites is the castle with
(13:16):
the fireworks in the background because we ate at Cinderella's castle while
the firework show was occurring and that was just like such an amazing experience
and so that wasn't a charm I was initially planning on buying because of Of course,
I went to Disney World with a list in mind,
(13:36):
but it was just the perfect charm to represent that magical evening.
So it's definitely one of my favorites from this year. What about you?
Cool. That is so cool. That is amazing. That's like a dream come true to sit
and eat at the Disney Castle and have the fireworks going. That's so gorgeous.
It really was. And I honestly, it's not like we even planned it.
(13:58):
We really didn't realize the timing.
I had just done a reservation. you know just
because I did want to eat there I'd never been there before so then
for the like we were at a window seat and the fireworks to
be happening like while eating dessert it was just like it was amazing it really
was perfect timing that's so good wow amazing that's so great so for me I yeah
(14:22):
I've got a few vacation charms that when I've traveled overseas I think are
probably the most special to me.
So we've traveled a couple of years ago through Europe and I've got a few charms
like the Edelweiss flowers that we bought in Austria.
And there's also a Ferris wheel that's similar to the Ferris wheel that we saw
in Austria that we bought.
(14:43):
And then there's a bridge charm to represent the very famous Charles Bridge
in the Czech Republic that we bought as well.
And I've I've also got like a babushka doll charm from Russia,
which is special to me as well, because that's where I got engaged and I sort
of have a few charms from Europe, I suppose, that.
(15:07):
Memories of trips we probably won't do for a very
long time now so they're really special to me and they're
sort of charms that I wouldn't find here either
so yeah I've got a few as well like of
those city charms you probably know the ones where it's like a circle dangle
and then it's got like the place written on it and it's got a bit of like an
engraving of what that place looks like I like those charms as well because
(15:29):
it just reminds you of the memories of being there Sort of like the Disney castle
that you're describing.
You'll look at that charm and remember that moment. That's the kind of travel
charms that I love and would have actually been there.
Yeah, that's fantastic. I mean, that's a dream, taking some European trips and
then buying Pandora while there.
(15:51):
Yeah, it was definitely exciting. It was so exciting to go into Pandora in Europe
as well for me because it was just different. I was like, this is amazing.
Yeah, it's always fun to visit different stores and kind of see how it's set
up and, you know, and talk to the workers in there and kind of get their experiences as well.
(16:13):
Yeah, definitely. I always enjoy chatting it up. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.
I think you kind of touched on, y'all are having a sale currently.
Currently, yeah. Australia, get on board. yeah you're like you're yeah you had
a later summer sale that's right well i suppose because for us it's a different
season so we're at the end of winter oh that's right so yeah our summer sale
(16:35):
is a end of winter sale before they release the halloween stuff i think yeah
yeah so what are you buying from the sale.
I'm buying Lion King. I'm buying another Murano. I've committed.
I've decided during this podcast to buy another Murano.
Timon and Pumbaa. Yeah. And maybe Simba. Maybe. I'll see how I go. What about you?
Yeah. So we had the summer sale. So I bought a couple of things from it.
(16:58):
I got the Monsters, Inc. logo charm.
Oh, I love that. So because I do have like a little mini Monsters, Inc. bracelet.
And that one was included in the sale. I still need to get Mike at some point,
though, because he was not on sale.
Sale i also bought like there's like a sparkly butterfly and
a cute little heart charm and then my boyfriend also
surprised me with some like morano charms and there's like the the older bee
(17:22):
dangle as well as like a mickey and minnie mouse charm so i got really quite
a few more more than i expected to get from the summer sale which was really
nice so yeah i guess that then Obviously.
We've seen the new Icons of Love collection and Disney Villains released,
but I guess not for you yet.
It hasn't been released yet, but I have seen it on other people's Instagram
(17:45):
and on the American website as well.
I saw that Disney Villains has a collectible box, so this is where I fall down.
If they release the collectible box, I'm going to have to get the whole thing,
the whole collection, because it'll fit in the collectible box.
If they don't release the collectible box here, I think I will probably just get the apple.
(18:07):
I love the apple with the like gold dripping down.
The Snow White Poison Apple. I think that's really cool for Halloween.
I'm going to get that for my bracelet, I think. What about you?
Do you plan on any villain charms?
I totally agree with you. The apple one is my favorite.
I also really like the Alice in Wonderland card. Yeah. But I feel like less
(18:29):
so that it's like because of villains.
I just think that like when I was younger, we used to play a lot of card games.
And so I just like that that card kind of represents like family,
you know, game nights more than the villain itself.
I agree with you. That box is very neat.
(18:50):
But yeah, it's always a little difficult lately when they do these great boxes.
But you have to buy almost a whole collection.
Yeah, that's right. That's right. I love that card as well, actually.
Now that you mentioned it, I remembered it. I think it's great.
And I think it's good for the Alice in Wonderland bracelet in general.
As you say, not necessarily just the villainy, more the Halloween theme,

but that would work really well.
Yeah, but I'm in danger if they release that box. That's for sure.
I have a feeling they won't here because we often don't get the collector box.
So we'll see how we go. We'll see how we go. What about the icons of love?
Charm do you plan on getting that one I really
like the large heart charm I think it's like

a nice like statement piece especially to wear on a
necklace yeah so I do think that it will be
going on my wish list but I
did I was kind of disappointed because it's nice
because those are ungraveable right but then I I
always am looking to see if I can get something engraved with my you
know instagram charmingly baroque name and it
(19:53):
still won't fit and I was like oh man like I
was really hoping with it being such a large heart charm
that it would it would fit on there yeah yeah definitely
I'm surprised that it doesn't fit you might have to just do the initials for
now or something yeah yeah until they can make it a bit small that's a shame
that is definitely a shame I love the big one too actually I think as you say
(20:17):
a statement piece it's nice and chunky key. It looks really smooth and cool.
I like the little tiny engraving that it's already got on the side as well.
I think it says like, be love. And then I think it's got CZ crystals from what
I could see online, but yeah, it looks really cute. That little tiny little detail.
I'm not sure if I'd engrave mine. I've already got a few charms that I would,
(20:37):
that I plan on engraving.
I haven't done it yet, but I plan on engraving them.
They had the lockets that open up. I wanted to engrave that
because it's on my baby bracelet for my son so
I'd put his name on the back maybe his date of birth if it fits or
I've also got the clasp of that bracelet that I could
engrave with either his name or date of birth so that's
a few charms that I would definitely engrave but

yeah I'm wondering whether Pandora shark is going to
fit on any engraving that's a
great question that I will also ask because yeah
hopefully it does fit on the bigger because I don't know
I don't really I'm not really a dog tag kind of girl
so those charms that are a bit like longer that kind of
look like the military dog tag kind of
(21:21):
thing I don't know that I yeah I don't know it's not really my style I probably
wouldn't wear it as a necklace so I prefer the sort of hearts or those kinds
of charms but yeah I'm not sure if it would fit my Instagram name this is a
great and valid question that I will be asking in store we should have come
up with a shorter name yeah I I know.
When we started, they weren't engraving. Not in Australia anyway. Yeah.

Do you plan on engraving anything else? Any other pieces?
I could have the same problem as you. I'm also the only thing that for me at
this point would be mostly wanting to engrave like my Instagram name on something.
And I agree. Like I'm not really into the dog tag thing.
Items and so I'm not
sure definitely like you know maybe something
(22:08):
in the future I do like the like locking key I
think is super cute so perhaps getting that
in and having it engraved would be nice yeah that's true I forgot about the
locking key yeah that would be cool to engrave I agree that's that would be
really cool do you have any I know you said you just had back-to-back holidays
Do you have any other last minute summer vacation plans or holiday plans for the rest of the year?
(22:32):
We are technically done with summer vacation plans.
We do have a couple other trips planned. We're going to New Hampshire for a
wedding, which I'm super excited about because I'm hoping that it'll have like
a legitimate fall with the change of like tree colors because we do not get that here in Houston.
And then we're going from New Hampshire to D.C. for a conference.
(22:56):
Rents and then we're also going to las vegas in october for for a music festival
oh fun well that's fun and you you if you get your card charm you can wear that in las vegas,
yes that would be perfect yeah yeah i've never i've never been to vegas before
so i'm excited i've yeah i've never even gambled before in my life so i'm gonna
(23:18):
you know take 50 have it in one pocket yeah gamble it and then don't gamble
anything else that's right,
But I could get the car there.
That would be a good souvenir. Yeah, that would be perfect.
That would be perfect. That's so funny you haven't been to Las Vegas.
I've been to Las Vegas four times.
Really? Yes, yes. But I've never really, not really to gamble either, funnily enough.
(23:42):
I don't know. I guess I was more of a tourist there. But I was also young.
So in Australia, the drinking age is 18.
In America, it's 21. I think the first time I went, I was 19. So it was a very...
PG, Las Vegas trip, lots of Grand Canyon, lots of then like just looking,
like seeing shows and stuff.
(24:03):
But yeah, every time I've gone there, I've gone there for all the shows. They're amazing.
All the Cirque du Soleil stuff and Celine Dion was there when I went.
She was incredible. And yeah, they've just got amazing shows.
So I think that's my favorite part of Vegas. I think I gambled once out of those
four times that I went. I'm not really big on gambling, I guess.
But yeah. I'd rather spend my money on Pandora. Exactly, exactly.
(24:26):
Pandora and food and musicals.
Exactly. No, that's great. You'll have a great time. Vegas is very fun.
But you all don't have any trips planned? No, not really any trips planned.
I mean, this year for us will be special because it'll be my son's first Christmas during our summer.
So because our summer is at Christmas time, we will enjoy, you know,
(24:49):
decorating the Christmas tree with him sort of aware of what's going on,
I guess. and having special ornaments and things like that that will represent him.
We're very big on our Christmas decorating.
We're kind of insane. Like we have two Christmas trees. I'm thinking of getting
a third one just for his room.
And like we decorate our whole house on the inside.
(25:09):
So I finally have a child to share that joy of Christmas with.
So we're going to go hard.
That's all I can say. But yeah, so it's really special for us that we have,
yeah, a little boy to share Christmas with. and, you know, Santa's going to
come, all that sort of thing.
So I think that's, yeah, that will be our real vacation, kind of very holiday,
very family-oriented holiday.
(25:33):
Yeah. Sounds amazing. I love Christmas. Yeah, it's a good time.
I need to buy a new Christmas tree.
I only had, like, little tiny Christmas trees, so I need to actually buy an
official grown-up Christmas tree.
Yeah, we did that a few years ago. We bought one that looked,
like, very lush and very big. And, yeah, nice.
It's hard to decide. Do you get flocked? Do you get normal? Do you get like,
(25:54):
you know, yeah, it's a big decision, the growing up Christmas tree.
I know, I'd have to do like a day of research. Yeah, yeah.
My recommendation would be check which ones fit ornaments easily because we
bought a really big one and it's got really big branches and it's actually quite
hard to get the ornaments onto some of those branches.
So that would be my top tip. Check if it fits the ornaments first.
(26:15):
Yeah, I know. Yeah, that's good advice because I'm very much an ornament person
with the Pandora ornaments and then like Disney ornaments.
So it's like I want to be able to, you know, it's not like a pretty formal Christmas tree.
It's, you know, well-loved ornament Christmas tree. Yep, yep.
Love it, love it. That's great.

Today we wanted to discuss some of the latest Pandora releases.
Pandora released its summer collection and just recently released its Icons
of Love collection just a few days ago. How are you going Katie?
Since our last podcast, have you had any Pandora adventures?

Hey, I am doing good. I'm trying to think about At Pandora Adventures,
I did add a couple boy piece from the summer collection.
I added the sparkling Monstera leaf charm.
Yep. And it's really a stunning piece. I did a review of it that is up on the Art of Pandora website.
(00:43):
And I did wear it to the Lion King on Broadway when I went to see it.
What about you? Did you get anything from the summer collection?
Yep, I did get a few things from the summer.
So like you I've got up on the Pandora
app and it showcases some
of the pieces that I got from the summer collection so the most notable
piece that I got was the yellow Murano butterfly I
(01:06):
saw your and sterile leaf review I thought it was
really really cool I love the three different styling options
that you had for it and I also loved loved the Lion
King that you took it to the Lion King and added it to the
Lion King range because of course Pandora also released Lion King charms as
well so I thought it was cool how they had that kind of you know Lion King jungle
(01:27):
vibe and also you could kind of wear the pieces separate to being just a Disney
bracelet too I thought that was really cool.
So for me, I added the pink and yellow Murano Butterfly, which is the same as
the blue one, just different Murano colors.
And it's really pretty. And it's in rose gold rather than silver.
(01:50):
So I thought that was exciting.
And then I also added a few two-tone charms.
So I saw the bike and anything that moves, I'm kind of taken.
So I got the bike because it's got the movable wheels and it's sort of like
another version of the bike they released previously.
And I got the monkey as well with the banana that swings so the two-tone cheeky monkey kind of charm,

yeah so those are the things that I added yeah that
bike is really cute I have the original bike but I do like the the new design
and I agree with you I think it's super cute when anything has like kind of
movable parts so nice there are there are some really cute pieces from it are
there any Is there anything else on your wishlist from the summer collection?
(02:36):
So at the moment in Australia, there's a 20% off storewide sale.
So I definitely have quite a wishlist going that I have to cull down before I actually commit.
Probably I'm going to stick to the Lion King stuff because I only got one Murano.
So I think I'm going to then get another Murano and maybe the Timon and Pumba
(02:57):
Dangle to go between that.
And I'm debating whether I can afford a Simba in there as well.
And that way I'll have a bit more of the Lion King range to add to some of my previous.
I think I had a baby Simba charm or something from previously and a previous
like Hakuna Matata Dangle.
So I'm thinking of just sticking to the Lion King because I know that there's new stuff coming out.
(03:19):
As soon as this finishes, I think it's on the 19th of August for us,
then we're getting all that new stuff, the villains, maybe the icons of love,
I'm not sure. So I'm waiting for.
Yeah I've got to kind of be a bit
careful with how much I buy now but yeah I'm
probably going to add a few more Lion King things what about you Katie
(03:40):
do you have any other things on your wish list from summer I do
I do have a couple I was going to say I do love the
Timon and Pumbaa it's really cute I always
like you know they do kind of like the friendship charm things the
where it's like you know dangles that you know
give one to someone but I feel like you always just
want both parts so it's hard to separate

them out but yeah i i will
say i think that the deadpool and wolverine are really cute
i'm not sure if they were officially part of the summer
collection but i did recently go
see the new deadpool movie i had
not like watched them previously but my
boyfriend made me well i watched the first one like a long time
(04:23):
ago but it gave me me re-watch the first one
and the second and watch Logan so so
then I could then go see the new Deadpool movie and I
did thoroughly enjoy it so those charms are are.
Pretty cute nice nice I def I saw I
actually only recently saw the Deadpool kind of movies
and they're they're very funny I didn't realize how funny they were so actually
(04:47):
those two charms are on my wish list this too because I'll just add them to
all my Marvel you know I've sort of had a Marvel thing going for a while so
I thought I'd add those superheroes as well to that kind of theme but no I agree
with you it's one of those movies that or like series I guess that.
Takes you by so you sort of think oh I might not be actually really really funny
so yeah I'm excited to see the new movie I haven't seen it yet but I'm definitely
(05:12):
keen I think when I saw the first one when it came out a long time ago.
And I think at the time, it was a little bit just too much for me.
But it'll grow up and you'll find the humor in it a bit more.
I also think the golden mini Murano in yellow would be really nice for a Beauty
(05:32):
and the Beast themed bracelet.
So I am considering getting that charm.
And then also the pearl drop earrings, I think, are absolutely stunning.
So they're going on my wish list for maybe hopefully for dear Christmas gift. Oh, nice.
Oh, that's so nice. Yeah, the pearl drop earrings are beautiful. And I agree the...
Murano would be really good for Beauty and the Beast and that's you

know that's one of your signatures isn't it so yeah yeah
I think I'd have to make a whole
second bracelet though that's okay that's okay we're always open to making a
second bracelet they they usually re-release things won't they yeah certainly
so you might add more and more so that's great that's great so have you taken
(06:14):
any summer vacations this year I'm going to ask you because I most certainly
haven't during the initial part of summer, which was the beginning of the year for us.
We were just having a bub. So yeah, I went nowhere.
And I think your summer vacation stories will be probably more exciting than mine this year somehow.
Yeah, we took a couple of vacations. We went to San Antonio, Texas.
(06:39):
We went over there. That's just like a drive for us, a couple hours.
So we went there for a concert and stayed the weekend,
weekend had some tasty text mix
and just kind of hung out and then
we also went to Washington and kind
of did some of the like national parks in the
area so we ended up like hiking that rainier and
(07:01):
not Olympic so and like it was absolutely stunning we also went on a whale tour
which makes me kind of want to add like a whale or something in relation to
like Washington the mid-trip we took to my collection because I didn't buy any charms while I was there.
And then we also just returned from a wedding in
(07:23):
Iowa City so it was it's been
a nice there were two trips back to back but it was a nice
getaway from the extreme Houston heat oh
that's incredible yeah I've got a friend that lives in Texas so
she was saying it was very very hot so that's great that
you got to get away I've been to Washington myself before it's
so beautiful the the national parks there i um did
(07:44):
student exchange at the university of washington so shout
out to any udub alumni out there huskies supporters
i think they were actually doing okay in their football
season which is great so yeah no i know i know exactly where you've been it's
so beautiful there the nature is amazing i definitely think you should add a
add a whale charm that would be great and maybe even like a fish charm or something
(08:08):
like that because they're famous for their salmon and their fishing.
And yeah, they've got pike place markets where they throw the fish.
I don't know if you've ever seen that in Seattle. It's really cool.
Yeah, I did. It was beautiful.
We actually, it was our second trip there. My boyfriend did his master's in Portland.
And so he loves like the Pacific Northwest. And it's kind of trying to talk me into moving. Oh, wow.
(08:32):
Get out of the 100 degree weather that was today. Yeah.
Fair enough. Yeah, it's a beautiful part of the world. So do you have any summer bracelet design?
Yeah, so my summer bracelet design for this year deviated a bit from my usual
theme. My usual theme is ocean related.
I mean, Pandora shark, it comes with the territory, but it's usually ocean related.
(08:54):
So I had all of those beautiful blue kind of hues and Muranos and all the fish
and octopus and crab and little mermaid as a side bracelet as well themes previously.
But this year I decided I would go a more summer heat kind of vibe and went
with warm color spectrum.
(09:14):
So I've got lots of different warm colored Muranos on my bracelet.
The main ones being the sunset Muranos, which I love because they're so versatile.
And you can read about this on the app on my blog post, but I talk about how
I use them for other designs as well,
like Halloween, but they're perfect for that sort of summer
heat warmth kind of
(09:36):
theme and I've got a few other quite old
Muranos actually I've got this sort of yellow one on there
that's that's been around for a long time and I've got a tropical Murano with
the kind of frangipani flowers that go around it I've got a pineapple charm
I've yeah I've added some summer fruit as well because I I love that Pandora
released the strawberries and the cherries and I had a pineapple from years
(09:59):
and years ago as well. So I've got some fruit on there.
I've added the Murano Flamingo that came out. I think it was last year,
maybe the year before. I don't know. Time is a fickle concept when you have a bub.
But yeah, so I've got the Flamingo and then I've added a few sort of animals.
So I've got that monkey that I mentioned that I bought, the two-tone monkey.
(10:20):
I've got a ladybird and then a few sort of summer sports like tennis.
I've got the bike on there. So I've kind of canvassed some Some of the things
that you do and play sport.
I've even got the sailboat on there for, you know, sitting in the sun,
but by the ocean, palm trees.
Yeah. So my summer bracelet is a kind of warm colors, pinks,
(10:43):
oranges, yellows, and I've gone a real mix with the metals.
So silver and two-tone and also even rose gold as well.
And initially I thought, oh, that might not look very good, but because I've
spaced it with the Muranos, I'm actually quite happy with, yeah,
how the design turned out.
What about you? you what does your summer bracelet look like well yours
(11:05):
sounds lovely I actually don't I
have a lot of summer charms I don't have
a summer design that stays together year round
um a lot of times my like summer charms are
more of a something where I'm like putting together like a daily bracelet right
because I'll usually wear like a couple bangles on on my right hands and so
(11:27):
yeah I have I have a lot of like the palm tree and like the old sailboat charm
and flamingo and like pineapple and watermelon.
And so I usually like designing with them like little mini designs.
But I agree with you. I kind of I love the fruit charms because in particular,
like watermelon, of course, like always reminds me of summer and like the good
(11:51):
times that my family used to have because we used to have a pool.
Of course, you know, go hang out by the pool, cut up some watermelon.
That just has like some real nostalgia for me. So that is a favorite charm of mine.
I do have like a travel bracelet with the old Hindora travel charms,
like the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty.
(12:12):
And so I guess I, it's not like full on summer in the sense of.
You know like ocean and seashells etc
but it is a travel bracelet and so
it does remind me mostly of
summer being able to go on those trips that's so great have
you got any charms any vacation charms that
are particularly special so I would say
(12:35):
like well the most recent charm that I purchased on
a trip was while we were in San Antonio and I bought
the little Pandora rose and bloom dangle charm
almost like it's almost like a little mini dangle and
so that was nice because we were just we're actually waiting to try to get back
into houston because there is a hurricane going through so we were delaying
(12:56):
driving back so i bought that while we were out shopping definitely some of
my favorite travel purchases from this year was of course from Disney World.
We went to Disney World in January and so we got some like really nice charms while we were there.
One of my favorites is the castle with
(13:16):
the fireworks in the background because we ate at Cinderella's castle while
the firework show was occurring and that was just like such an amazing experience
and so that wasn't a charm I was initially planning on buying because of Of course,
I went to Disney World with a list in mind,
(13:36):
but it was just the perfect charm to represent that magical evening.
So it's definitely one of my favorites from this year. What about you?
Cool. That is so cool. That is amazing. That's like a dream come true to sit
and eat at the Disney Castle and have the fireworks going. That's so gorgeous.
It really was. And I honestly, it's not like we even planned it.
(13:58):
We really didn't realize the timing.
I had just done a reservation. you know just
because I did want to eat there I'd never been there before so then
for the like we were at a window seat and the fireworks to
be happening like while eating dessert it was just like it was amazing it really
was perfect timing that's so good wow amazing that's so great so for me I yeah
(14:22):
I've got a few vacation charms that when I've traveled overseas I think are
probably the most special to me.
So we've traveled a couple of years ago through Europe and I've got a few charms
like the Edelweiss flowers that we bought in Austria.
And there's also a Ferris wheel that's similar to the Ferris wheel that we saw
in Austria that we bought.
(14:43):
And then there's a bridge charm to represent the very famous Charles Bridge
in the Czech Republic that we bought as well.
And I've I've also got like a babushka doll charm from Russia,
which is special to me as well, because that's where I got engaged and I sort
of have a few charms from Europe, I suppose, that.
(15:07):
Memories of trips we probably won't do for a very
long time now so they're really special to me and they're
sort of charms that I wouldn't find here either
so yeah I've got a few as well like of
those city charms you probably know the ones where it's like a circle dangle
and then it's got like the place written on it and it's got a bit of like an
engraving of what that place looks like I like those charms as well because
(15:29):
it just reminds you of the memories of being there Sort of like the Disney castle
that you're describing.
You'll look at that charm and remember that moment. That's the kind of travel
charms that I love and would have actually been there.
Yeah, that's fantastic. I mean, that's a dream, taking some European trips and
then buying Pandora while there.
(15:51):
Yeah, it was definitely exciting. It was so exciting to go into Pandora in Europe
as well for me because it was just different. I was like, this is amazing.
Yeah, it's always fun to visit different stores and kind of see how it's set
up and, you know, and talk to the workers in there and kind of get their experiences as well.
(16:13):
Yeah, definitely. I always enjoy chatting it up. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely.
I think you kind of touched on, y'all are having a sale currently.
Currently, yeah. Australia, get on board. yeah you're like you're yeah you had
a later summer sale that's right well i suppose because for us it's a different
season so we're at the end of winter oh that's right so yeah our summer sale
(16:35):
is a end of winter sale before they release the halloween stuff i think yeah
yeah so what are you buying from the sale.
I'm buying Lion King. I'm buying another Murano. I've committed.
I've decided during this podcast to buy another Murano.
Timon and Pumbaa. Yeah. And maybe Simba. Maybe. I'll see how I go. What about you?
Yeah. So we had the summer sale. So I bought a couple of things from it.
(16:58):
I got the Monsters, Inc. logo charm.
Oh, I love that. So because I do have like a little mini Monsters, Inc. bracelet.
And that one was included in the sale. I still need to get Mike at some point,
though, because he was not on sale.
Sale i also bought like there's like a sparkly butterfly and
a cute little heart charm and then my boyfriend also
surprised me with some like morano charms and there's like the the older bee
(17:22):
dangle as well as like a mickey and minnie mouse charm so i got really quite
a few more more than i expected to get from the summer sale which was really
nice so yeah i guess that then Obviously.
We've seen the new Icons of Love collection and Disney Villains released,
but I guess not for you yet.
It hasn't been released yet, but I have seen it on other people's Instagram
(17:45):
and on the American website as well.
I saw that Disney Villains has a collectible box, so this is where I fall down.
If they release the collectible box, I'm going to have to get the whole thing,
the whole collection, because it'll fit in the collectible box.
If they don't release the collectible box here, I think I will probably just get the apple.
(18:07):
I love the apple with the like gold dripping down.
The Snow White Poison Apple. I think that's really cool for Halloween.
I'm going to get that for my bracelet, I think. What about you?
Do you plan on any villain charms?
I totally agree with you. The apple one is my favorite.
I also really like the Alice in Wonderland card. Yeah. But I feel like less
(18:29):
so that it's like because of villains.
I just think that like when I was younger, we used to play a lot of card games.
And so I just like that that card kind of represents like family,
you know, game nights more than the villain itself.
I agree with you. That box is very neat.
(18:50):
But yeah, it's always a little difficult lately when they do these great boxes.
But you have to buy almost a whole collection.
Yeah, that's right. That's right. I love that card as well, actually.
Now that you mentioned it, I remembered it. I think it's great.
And I think it's good for the Alice in Wonderland bracelet in general.
As you say, not necessarily just the villainy, more the Halloween theme,
(19:10):
but that would work really well.
Yeah, but I'm in danger if they release that box. That's for sure.
I have a feeling they won't here because we often don't get the collector box.
So we'll see how we go. We'll see how we go. What about the icons of love?
Charm do you plan on getting that one I really
like the large heart charm I think it's like

a nice like statement piece especially to wear on a
necklace yeah so I do think that it will be
going on my wish list but I
did I was kind of disappointed because it's nice
because those are ungraveable right but then I I
always am looking to see if I can get something engraved with my you
know instagram charmingly baroque name and it
(19:53):
still won't fit and I was like oh man like I
was really hoping with it being such a large heart charm
that it would it would fit on there yeah yeah definitely
I'm surprised that it doesn't fit you might have to just do the initials for
now or something yeah yeah until they can make it a bit small that's a shame
that is definitely a shame I love the big one too actually I think as you say
(20:17):
a statement piece it's nice and chunky key. It looks really smooth and cool.
I like the little tiny engraving that it's already got on the side as well.
I think it says like, be love. And then I think it's got CZ crystals from what
I could see online, but yeah, it looks really cute. That little tiny little detail.
I'm not sure if I'd engrave mine. I've already got a few charms that I would,
(20:37):
that I plan on engraving.
I haven't done it yet, but I plan on engraving them.
They had the lockets that open up. I wanted to engrave that
because it's on my baby bracelet for my son so
I'd put his name on the back maybe his date of birth if it fits or
I've also got the clasp of that bracelet that I could
engrave with either his name or date of birth so that's
a few charms that I would definitely engrave but

yeah I'm wondering whether Pandora shark is going to
fit on any engraving that's a
great question that I will also ask because yeah
hopefully it does fit on the bigger because I don't know
I don't really I'm not really a dog tag kind of girl
so those charms that are a bit like longer that kind of
look like the military dog tag kind of
(21:21):
thing I don't know that I yeah I don't know it's not really my style I probably
wouldn't wear it as a necklace so I prefer the sort of hearts or those kinds
of charms but yeah I'm not sure if it would fit my Instagram name this is a
great and valid question that I will be asking in store we should have come
up with a shorter name yeah I I know.
When we started, they weren't engraving. Not in Australia anyway. Yeah.
(21:45):
Do you plan on engraving anything else? Any other pieces?
I could have the same problem as you. I'm also the only thing that for me at
this point would be mostly wanting to engrave like my Instagram name on something.
And I agree. Like I'm not really into the dog tag thing.
Items and so I'm not
sure definitely like you know maybe something
(22:08):
in the future I do like the like locking key I
think is super cute so perhaps getting that
in and having it engraved would be nice yeah that's true I forgot about the
locking key yeah that would be cool to engrave I agree that's that would be
really cool do you have any I know you said you just had back-to-back holidays
Do you have any other last minute summer vacation plans or holiday plans for the rest of the year?
(22:32):
We are technically done with summer vacation plans.
We do have a couple other trips planned. We're going to New Hampshire for a
wedding, which I'm super excited about because I'm hoping that it'll have like
a legitimate fall with the change of like tree colors because we do not get that here in Houston.
And then we're going from New Hampshire to D.C. for a conference.
(22:56):
Rents and then we're also going to las vegas in october for for a music festival
oh fun well that's fun and you you if you get your card charm you can wear that in las vegas,
yes that would be perfect yeah yeah i've never i've never been to vegas before
so i'm excited i've yeah i've never even gambled before in my life so i'm gonna
(23:18):
you know take 50 have it in one pocket yeah gamble it and then don't gamble
anything else that's right,
But I could get the car there.
That would be a good souvenir. Yeah, that would be perfect.
That would be perfect. That's so funny you haven't been to Las Vegas.
I've been to Las Vegas four times.
Really? Yes, yes. But I've never really, not really to gamble either, funnily enough.
(23:42):
I don't know. I guess I was more of a tourist there. But I was also young.
So in Australia, the drinking age is 18.
In America, it's 21. I think the first time I went, I was 19. So it was a very...
PG, Las Vegas trip, lots of Grand Canyon, lots of then like just looking,
like seeing shows and stuff.
(24:03):
But yeah, every time I've gone there, I've gone there for all the shows. They're amazing.
All the Cirque du Soleil stuff and Celine Dion was there when I went.
She was incredible. And yeah, they've just got amazing shows.
So I think that's my favorite part of Vegas. I think I gambled once out of those
four times that I went. I'm not really big on gambling, I guess.
But yeah. I'd rather spend my money on Pandora. Exactly, exactly.
(24:26):
Pandora and food and musicals.
Exactly. No, that's great. You'll have a great time. Vegas is very fun.
But you all don't have any trips planned? No, not really any trips planned.
I mean, this year for us will be special because it'll be my son's first Christmas during our summer.
So because our summer is at Christmas time, we will enjoy, you know,
(24:49):
decorating the Christmas tree with him sort of aware of what's going on,
I guess. and having special ornaments and things like that that will represent him.
We're very big on our Christmas decorating.
We're kind of insane. Like we have two Christmas trees. I'm thinking of getting
a third one just for his room.
And like we decorate our whole house on the inside.
(25:09):
So I finally have a child to share that joy of Christmas with.
So we're going to go hard.
That's all I can say. But yeah, so it's really special for us that we have,
yeah, a little boy to share Christmas with. and, you know, Santa's going to
come, all that sort of thing.
So I think that's, yeah, that will be our real vacation, kind of very holiday,
very family-oriented holiday.
(25:33):
Yeah. Sounds amazing. I love Christmas. Yeah, it's a good time.
I need to buy a new Christmas tree.
I only had, like, little tiny Christmas trees, so I need to actually buy an
official grown-up Christmas tree.
Yeah, we did that a few years ago. We bought one that looked,
like, very lush and very big. And, yeah, nice.
It's hard to decide. Do you get flocked? Do you get normal? Do you get like,
(25:54):
you know, yeah, it's a big decision, the growing up Christmas tree.
I know, I'd have to do like a day of research. Yeah, yeah.
My recommendation would be check which ones fit ornaments easily because we
bought a really big one and it's got really big branches and it's actually quite
hard to get the ornaments onto some of those branches.
So that would be my top tip. Check if it fits the ornaments first.
(26:15):
Yeah, I know. Yeah, that's good advice because I'm very much an ornament person
with the Pandora ornaments and then like Disney ornaments.
So it's like I want to be able to, you know, it's not like a pretty formal Christmas tree.
It's, you know, well-loved ornament Christmas tree. Yep, yep.
Love it, love it. That's great.
(26:37):
