The Banana Bread and Circus Republic Podcast’s objective is to explore the ethics of humanity’s course of evolution. We intend to unify intelligent minds and heal the wounds of discord, with emphasis on the humorous aspects of humanity’s technological obsessions, and the current pitfalls in between. This gives us the opportunity to think outside the box, and explore with a light heart, which speaks to the humanitarian values and comedic outlets we live by. This sense of levity gives us hope to reconcile a new quality of life for the inquisitive. In short, this podcast aims to help people. While the podcast embraces the spirit of having fun, the BBCR endorses responsible substance use, respectful language, and cohesive skill building.
This was our third annual St. Patties Day episode, recorded on March 16th, 2025 (the day before the holiday). We got into a good flow of topics that stemmed from an Irish staple: The Spud. Before we knew it we were talking about God, drugs, the process and concept of wu wei, and its polar opposite: our tendency to have instant gratification. We hope you enjoy this episode as much as we enjoyed recording it. Cheers!

In this episode, we briefly explore how interwoven the food chain is, and that we are just a small fraction in the web of its entanglement. Our bread and circuses are more chains than actual food; a cornucopia of distractions equipped with bad movies, adrenaline-inducing sports, and recurring nightmares. In truth, it's our unique linguistic talents, creative abilities, and philosophies that put us at the top of any hierarchical pyr...
In this episode, we unpacked the mysteries of consumerism vs. necessity and how the rat race dictates what we should have rather than what we need. We also talked about skepticism vs. true skepticism, and how our ability to maintain logic but also an open mind lays the foundation for self-accountability and self-leadership. Entitlements are simply debts that you pay before you owe. Don't be afraid to spend your bread at the circus....
In this episode, we dove down a rabbit hole to subjective vs. objective idealism and the dynamic play of opposites. We explored the science fiction of the world and how they get misconstrued as science-fact and vice versa. We bounced around on topics on this one, trying to keep it light but also topic-sensitive and effervescent. Enjoy!

This episode was recorded in mid-February 2025, at which point we discussed recreational sports, the longevity and flexibility of genes, and how these can be activated by lifestyle. We unpacked how having a fair society means having a free society, one that's accountable to its people, for the people. A society that's not accountable to its people may very well not be a successful one. We all have to be team players in this arena. ...
This episode was recorded hours before Super Bowl LIX. Congrats Eagles! Sorry this episode is so delayed..life gets in the way. Aside from the Super Bowl, however, our discussion was not too time-sensitive to release.
We talked about the history of the Soviet Union's Red Army Hockey Team and the odyssey of what it took to open the doors of freedom to have personal choice from the perspective of Slava Fetisov: a hockey Legend and pi...
In this episode, we sat down to remember that the system we live in is still under a lot of pressure, and, like a chuck roast in a pressure cooker, it needs to break down in order to evolve and melt in your mouth. Bon apatite, please enjoy!

This episode was our first recording of the 2025 new year. We discussed the con jobs everywhere and how they've quit trying to cover them up anymore. We also hit on human rights vs. human privileges, drones, and technology. Our hearts and thoughts go out to the victims of terrorism and the hegemonies that perpetuate it. Happy belated New Year!

In this episode, we discussed the dead internet and speculated what it's for, if not an algorithmic anomaly. Or are they working perfectly? We also discussed the health care conundrum and how revolutions begin. Remember, if you don't study history, you're doomed to repeat it. This is why Christmas trees cost over $70 a piece. Please enjoy!

Howdy folks! Thanks for tuning in! We have a fun episode for you today. This is a segment that we recorded with Benji, as he joined us for another Banana Bread and Circus Republic Podcast in the new studio after a fulfilling Thanksgiving Holiday. We talked about good, unique beers, dumb and stupid deers, and some entertainment aspects to get us through the years. We also talked about some problems and obfuscations in the current ge...
In this bonus episode, we decided to record on Halloween, where the vail was extra thin and tensions were socially and politically high. Yet we found a way to appreciate the shadows of what the light from 2024 shined on us. The best thing you can do is forgive your transgressors, but that's something that you don't need to let them know you did. Please enjoy!

Happy 2025! This episode was recorded on the back deck in the Fall of 2024, where we discussed AI, ETs, chemical warfare through opiates, and how these are hindering our Western population. As we come closer and closer to Agenda 2030, we would like those of you listening to remember that empathy is a force of good, as well as healthy amounts of skepticism and comedy as a tether to both those and reality, with a big thank you to th...
In this episode, we explored some of the fascinating work of the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, and also our own personal outlooks, regarding our different personalities, and how we can deal with the friction between family members. The process of personal mastership is a winding road, with seemingly endless twists and turns. But it can be a lot of fun if we can apply our passion, our unique signature, to what it is we are ...
In this episode, we discussed A.I. and its potential role in a dystopian transhumanist future. But we can overcome this possible demise by developing our ability to have differing thoughts and opinions and still live among each other with compassion, which is a hurdle of the sociopolitical cycles of this turmoil. The trick is having a light enough heart that we give the benefit of the doubt to our fellow human and remediate our sen...
In this episode, we dive into the latest concerns with the recent election and how its controversial buttons have only hindered our ability to think clearly and see all the prevailing sides of the prism that we are in. The political pendulum is speeding up and constricting our perspective now more than ever. With all the fear-mongering and hyperbole, how can we regain focus and stay optimistic for the future of our nation? Time wi...
In this episode, we discussed various topics about dealing with life and relationship challenges. How well can we simplify our work and our energy allocation to optimize our bandwidth, creating a tolerance for others and broadening our patience? It's up to us to seek harmony within ourselves and our circumstances. Or don't; and see how far that gets you. We also discussed how these bandwidth optimizers can provide a deeper sense of...
This episode was recorded in mid-August of 2024 when we discussed dietary choices, cultural affiliations, and virtue signaling. Life will test our inner monster, and it's our job to discern artificial propaganda from what's truly real. It comes down to resilience: our ability to get back up and keep going. Champions are not defined by winning, but from how they recover from a loss. Please enjoy!

In this episode, we had Benji join us for the fourth time to discuss approaches to various concerns and new risks on the horizon. We talked about how the power of belief, adrenaline, and will are tools we can wield to exercise abilities that we have yet to harness fully—things like Breathwork, harmony, and the coherent rhythms that align with our soul's work. Life is music. We should appreciate our ability to tune into what the mel...
This episode was recorded in mid-July 2024, when we sat down to chat, after a brief gap from being able to do so, about conspiracy, security, liberty, and nature versus nurture. In today's bustling world, AI is simply a gimmick for the powers that be to distract us from allowing us to figure "it" out for ourselves. Our specialized human ability to attune to each other is meant to unite our talents as individuals and harmonize as a ...
This episode was recorded in late June 2024 when we sat down to nerd out about various philosophical topics, such as the creation of one's own fortune or misfortune, as well as the obvious and subtle differences between British humor and Canadian humor. Shout out to the creators of Monty Python, Norseman, and Baltimora. We hope you all have had a fun summer! Happy Fall! (Except you. you know YOU are..)
