Is American public education salvagable? This candidate says yes.

Yesterday I spoke with John Myrick who’s running for governor in the state of Maryland. Today I have the pleasure of speaking with his running mate, Doctor Brenda Thiam. Like Myrick, Thiam has a long history of public service as both a special education teacher and an elected member of the Maryland House of Delegates.  

If they make it to the state house in next year’s election, Myrick and Thiam have their work cut out. Maryland is suffering from rampant crime, abysmal public school performance especially in large districts like Baltimore, crushing taxes, and an unfriendly business environment. It’s bad, and the current Governor Wes Moore doesn’t get half the bad press he deserves.

I’m excited to hear what Doctor Thiam has to say. Let’s bring her in.
