Jesus’ death was not a fairy tale, and maybe that’s the problem. We’ve presented the work of Christ as inconsequential, something we can imagine, when in fact, Jesus suffered a gruesome, humiliating, agonizing death for us. Centuries later, we still tell Him that He’s not enough.

Centuries later, we’re still celebrating false gods under the guise of “it’s just a little fun and will do no harm.”

Halloween is not just fun, and it does a lot of harm. When you dabble in a day meant for darkness, you open the door of your soul for Satan to have free reign in your life. You allow the devil to set up a throne in your heart, giving him undeserved majesty.

God has never and will never share His glory with the devil. When you gave your life to Jesus, you finally told God He was enough. Don’t let a day like Halloween cause you to lose perspective.

(00:10):
Welcome to the Bible.
I am your host,
Naomi Kay.
Thank you for listening.
But thou when thou prays enter into thy closet and when thou hast shut the door,
pray to thy father,
which is in secret and thy father which seeth in secret shall award thee openly.

(00:30):
But when ye pray use not vain repetitions as the heathen do for,
they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be ye not therefore like unto them for your father knoweth what things you have need of before you ask him after this manner.
Therefore,
pray ye our father which art in heaven.

(00:55):
Hallowed be thy name.
Hallowed be thy name.
Tomorrow is Halloween a day that people consider a harmless holiday where they dress up,
go to parties and celebrate and some people dress their small Children up and take them door to door trick or treating to collect candy and other goodies.

(01:21):
For decades,
people have done this considering Halloween is just another secular holiday where they have fun.
Then the next day they take down the decorations,
put away the costumes and things go back to normal or do they?
Halloween has deeper roots than candy and costumes.

(01:41):
As a matter of fact,
it's not even a holiday.
It's a day of worship.
Unfortunately,
as capitalism does with all holidays,
Halloween has been commercialized to dumb down the real meaning of the day,
keeping people in the dark about its true infernal origin.

(02:02):
Historically,
scholars agree that Halloween is a descendant of the Celtic festivals we saw was a time of the year when Celtic people believed in the merging of the supernatural and the natural.
They believed that the supernatural line between the spirit world and the natural world would break down,

(02:25):
allowing humans to commune with dead spirits.
The dead spirits would walk amongst the living,
fighting for people and working on their behalf.
Fairies and witches would use the powers of the dead to cast spells and also important battles would be fought and won during sown with the help of dead spirits.

(02:47):
It was also a time when dead gods would play tricks on mortals,
which is where the term trick or treat comes from.
Soy lasted from October 31st through November 1st.
During this time,
people would take a portion of the harvest they collected before Salwan began and sacrifice it as an offering to the dead.

(03:13):
Now,
in the late five hundreds,
Catholic missionaries began migrating to England with the hope of quashing paganistic practices.
However,
they did so by playing nice.
The Pope allowed the Catholic church to mix religious practices with the dark necrotic practices of the saw win as a result.

(03:38):
All Saints Day was created by the Catholic church and celebrated on November.
The first sin became a one day um celebration celebrated on October 31st and was renamed All Hallows Day evening.
All Hallow's Day evening was shortened to All Hallow's Day Eve which later morphed into Halloween the day before the Saints are celebrated on All Saints Day.

(04:10):
Christian Catholics would participate in Solwin's ritualistic practices and have what they believed was a day of supernatural spooky fun that meant no harm.
They believed mixing the two practices was a great way to win over the Celts and merge them into the Catholic church.

(04:33):
This was not a prophetic plan from God and God has never commanded any of his servants to mix his light with darkness.
In Matthew six verse nine,
Jesus tells the disciples that when they pray,
they should pray in this manner,
our father,
which art in heaven hallowed be thy name.

(04:56):
Jesus started what is now imminently known as the Lord's prayer by telling the disciples that when they pray to God start with worship,
how old be thy name is worship?
And let me tell you how the word hollowed in this scripture is a verb that comes from the Greek word Hagi ao meaning to make holy,

(05:21):
which comes from the Greek root word Haas,
which means the most holy thing,
the most holy thing,
Jesus,
our savior and redeemer referred to God's name as the most holy thing.

(05:43):
And when we pray to God,
we must honor his name this way prior to asking him for anything.
This is worship.
Please don't mistake what I'm saying as an indictment on the Catholic church.
But the church erred in giving such a demonic day Assen a glory that only belongs to God.

(06:07):
Sin is a day of darkness where dead spirits which we know in the body of Christ are demons and evil spirits that operate on behalf of Satan to spiritually terrorize the living in old and New Testament scripture.
God commanded his people to refrain from necromancy and occultism.

(06:30):
In Leviticus,
1931 the Lord commands Moses to tell the Children of Israel.
Do not turn to mediums or necromancer do not seek them out and so make yourselves unclean by them.
I am the Lord your God.
In acts 13 verses 10 through 11.

(06:50):
Paul calls a magician,
a son of the devil who was full of deceit and villainy.
Then he told the magician behold the hand of the Lord is upon you and you will be blind and unable to see the son for a time.
The Bible says immediately mist and darkness fell upon the magician and he went about seeking people to lead him by the hand.

(07:17):
Halloween has nothing to do with God and God's people should not be taking part in its celebration.
Halloween is a day of occultic worship to the dead and there is nothing,
I mean,
nothing fun about it.
As sons and daughters of God,
we carry the light of the Gospel on the inside of us,

(07:38):
which is the Holy Spirit.
We have access to the Holy Spirit because of the sacrifice Jesus made at Calvary.
Jesus gave his life to reconcile us or place us back into relationship with God.
His death pulled us out of darkness and into the light of God's love.

(08:01):
Jesus' sacrifice wasn't a day of fun and fear.
And maybe that's why it's so easy for some professed Christians to play the harlot with idolatrous things.
And days we see what Jesus did as trivial and as a result,
some of us dabble in darkness.
Jesus' death was not a fairy tale and maybe that's the problem.

(08:23):
We've presented the work of Christ as inconsequential something that we in our natural mind can imagine when in fact Jesus suffered a gruesome,
humiliating,
agonizing death for us.
And centuries later,
we still tell him he's not enough.

(08:45):
Centuries later,
we're still celebrating false gods under the guise of.
It's just a little fun and we'll do no harm,
but it does.
Halloween is not just fun and it does a lot of harm.
When you dabble in a day meant for darkness,
you open the door of your soul for Satan to have free reign in your life.

(09:09):
You allow the devil to set up a throne in your heart,
giving him undeserved Majesty.
God has never and will never share his glory with the devil.
When you gave your life to Jesus,
you finally told God he was enough.

(09:32):
Don't let a day like Halloween cause you to lose perspective.
And yes,
it is just that serious.
Thank you for listening.
