Z 2,3 milijona vključenih podjetij, predvsem malih in srednjih podjetij, je velik generator delovnih mest, saj zaposluje približno 12,3 milijonov ljudi. Številne destinacije pa niso vedno pripravljene na nenaden in ogromen pritok turistov in se le s težavo ubadajo postaviti potrebno infrastrukturo za obvladovanje. To velja tako za Slovenijo kot nekatere druge evropske države, od koder poročajo naši projektni dopisniki.
