The most confusing question for many believers considering being baptized is how being immersed in water in any way resembles the death and resurrection of Jesus, since neither of those events were water-related.

Christian act of worship known as baptism is a believer's declaration of faith in Christ Jesus. The act is considered transformative, symbolizing Jesus' death and resurrection. But is being immersed in water relative to Jesus dying on a cross and emerging from burial in the ground? And in what way is the act transformative? 

This Sunday, we close out our Gumby Jesus sermon series learning about how even Jesus took naps (and how, as followers of Jesus, maybe we should too).
