In this episode, I talk about the trend that is becoming more and more concerning regarding our dogs - that most people seem to think that training will resolve the behavior issues they are dealing with.
What is needed instead is us humans stepping up now to HELP our dogs and start thinking differently about their needs and understand that in most cases we need to change OUR behavior rather than theirs.
What we are seeing in the pet dog population is not training problems but WELFARE problems - because of misunderstandings between us and them - and because of how our behavior and choices affect their wellbeing.
It’s time for us humans to wake up from our slumber and realize how simple it really is and how much our dogs NEED us to understand them, BE with them, communicate with them - instead of focusing all our attention on training!!
