Friday Fire - Aligning Life and Business through God

Welcome back to another episode of the GMRT experience, where we're reigniting the spark of 'Friday Fire' after a hiatus. Spearheaded by our new team member, Matt, we're on a mission to regularly deliver enlightening episodes and valued content for all our listeners, starting from 2024.

For those who haven't been with us, Friday Fire encompasses ten intense minutes of wisdom, insights from my journey in life and business. And in this episode, we are exploring a special theme – aligning life and business through God.

I've discovered that aspects of personal life and business are not as distinct as they seem. They are interconnected – much like faith and work. Disruptions in your personal life often show up in your professional life, and reverse. Admitting this was a game-changer for me as it radically altered my approach to problems and more importantly, my aims and objectives in life.

In pursuit of this balance, I've been walking this path with God constantly aligning my personal and professional life. The Bible, widely perceived as a religious text, I look at as a storybook littered with wisdom and teachings. From observing others' failures to their success stories, the Bible offers valuable lessons. And that's exactly what I've ushering into my life - the wisdom and alignment offered by the holy text.

Starting each day with a prayer before diving into my bible reading has become my personal ritual. This modest act of gratitude and insight provides the much-needed roadmap for my day. Living in harmony with God's design for us has borne fruit in both business and personal life. It has made the journey less arduous and more enlightened.

Of course, life is not suddenly without issues or challenges. But this alignment through God has certainly made navigating them a lot easier. This perfect alignment has been my experiment for the past year, and the outcome has been encouraging.

As you tune into the upcoming Friday Fire episodes, I will be sharing a lot of such experiences and lessons. From spiritual insights to practical tools for personal and professional life, my endeavor is to share the secrets to operating on a higher frequency. What's up, guys? Welcome to another episode of the GMRT experience. We're back.
We're back with Friday Fire. I know we haven't dropped these in a while.
I don't know, four or five months, but we want to be consistent.
We have a new team member. His name is Matt.
He's helping us produce content, not only for GMRT, but for myself too.

And one of the things that I want to start doing and really emphasize
in 2024 is dropping more
episodes here for for gmrt and i know
that the friday fires were really good episodes to
to be dropping so just a quick reminder what
friday fire is the whole purpose of it is 10 minutes of just game we're gonna

spit out some game make sure that you guys get quick game value and and things
that i've learned throughout my journey like and i'm I'm not trying to make
this super long, but yeah.
So anyway, so I'm excited to be back with the Friday fire with you guys.
And today's episode is, it's called alignment through God.

(01:25):
You know, a lot of you guys have been listening to all of our episodes and,
you know, know that, you know, I've been walking this path with God and I like
to put things together like God and business because they tie together with,
with one another. other.
A lot of times we think whatever we do in our personal life doesn't tie into
our business or our work if you don't own a business.

(01:48):
And I used to operate at that with that mindset for many, many years.
And, you know, it gets very, very tough when you have a lot of chaos going on
in your personal life, even though you may think that you're better,
you know, that you can kind push that to the side.
I tried that for a while. As a matter of fact, I want to say for the first six

years of my journey or five and a half years, something like that.
I thought about quitting all the time.
And I've been journaling lately and I don't have those thoughts of quitting
during my journey anymore.
And one of the things that always sticks out is is, you know,
that alignment that I've been getting through my personal life through God,

(02:37):
you know, and what do I mean by that?
You know, a lot of people may be wondering, okay, well, what do you mean by alignment through God?
You know, if we know the Bible is one of the oldest book, it's actually the
oldest book in the world.
And there's a lot of wisdom in it. You know, I used to think the Bible was just
kind of this boring book that, you know, who's going to read that it's kind

(02:58):
of long, but kind of changed my perspective on that.
Like the way I look at the Bible now, it's like a book that tells you stories
on what other people did and leaves clues.
You know how we always talk about success leaves clues.
That's what the Bible is all about, too. You can see what mistakes other people

(03:21):
did, how their life went to shit in a way, and how other people actually,
you know, went the other way and they were super successful.
So this year, I've been really focused on, not this year, but last year and
starting this year, I've been really focused on living that life with alignment with God.

(03:44):
So one of the biggest things that I do just to get me prepped through the day,
we all know that business life is hard.
A lot of times you know you have all this chaos all
this noise going on deals your business
may go down or you know issues with trying
to find new clients or current clients there's a lot of pressure going on for

(04:08):
you to perform at the best possible way but what i've noticed is through this
alignment that i have with god i start my day with him kind of with a prayer
little prayer i don't go go too deep on it.
Just kind of like, Hey, thank you God for, for another beautiful day.
Just kind of like be the first thing that I do that, that first thought that

(04:29):
I have in the day. And then I go into my Bible reading.
I do this thing called a Bible in a year, which you, you, you read the entire Bible in a year.
And it starts with a new Old Testament and then the New Testament.
And it's usually like three pages a day.
And then that gets my mindset on the right spot.

(04:50):
And the reason why I'm calling this episode alignment through God is because
through that alignment that I've been getting by living by the way that he designed us to be,
I've been able to see the fruit, not only in my business, but in my personal life.
A lot of times, you know, when I was not living by this alignment, man, that was tough.

(05:15):
Life was very hard. Life was a mess.
So this year, I've been really emphasizing on putting God first on everything
I do, and then the rest follows.
Does that mean that every day I have a good day? No, that does not mean that.
Does that mean things don't ever happen or you have issues?

(05:37):
Of course not. But it does make the journey easier. It does make the path easier.
So one of the things that I would encourage everybody as you start going through
this alignment through God, and I want to go more in depth as I go through.
On every episode of Friday Fire, I want to go more in depth on what I've been

(06:00):
doing lately this past year because I have a good mentor that talks about tests on yourself.
So I've been testing this lifestyle for over a year now, which has been very
interesting, the good things that have happened so far.
So I would encourage you guys you know as you start listening more into these

(06:24):
Friday fires that we're going to be dropping you know I'm gonna start you know giving you guys not just,
God stuff but I mean I wanted to make this first Friday fire about him because
like I mentioned him like I mentioned he's the first thing that I do every day
and I put him on everything that I do do in my life.
But I also want to give you guys some tactical tools that you can apply in your

(06:47):
personal life and your business.
Because a lot of times, business is not like you, it's people make it seem business,
like you have to be this genius and this, you know, Elon Musk,
or, you know, Bill Gates or Steve Jobs.
Yeah, there were there are smart people.
But there's also another side of that recipe, which is what you do behind the

(07:11):
scenes to operate at that frequency.
And that's kind of what I want to be dropping on these Friday fires,
just the behind the scenes to what it takes to operate at this frequency.
So I want to encourage you guys to stick around.
Like I said, these Friday fires are going to be quick. We're not going to go
too deep. It's just like some game, some rapid fire for you guys.
