Brandon Anderson "Brandon338" joins the HuntLeague Podcast and shares his expertise on Long Range Hunting.
In the first few minutes you get a glimpse into Brandon's long range hunting resume as we touch on several stories from just 2023. He was there to help his fiance take her longest shot ever harvesting a deer at 786yds only to beat it a month later with an elk at 998yds! We talk through a few of the scenarios he faced last season including taking an off hand shot at 457yds harvesting a beautiful California blacktail buck that played a part in Brandon winning the 2023 HuntLeague Deer of the Year title.
Brandon has participated in the long shooting world for over 15 years. He has practiced and honed his skills over the years while technological advancements in scopes, bullet and caliber choices, ballistic apps, and rangefinders have all made long range hunting more accessible. He shares some of the calibers he is using now for long range hunting (and it's not one of the new PRC rounds) as well as some of the custom components that he uses to build out his rifles.
