First up, we're excited to announce the opening of our new campus in York, Pennsylvania, in collaboration with WellSpan Health. This expansion is part of our ongoing commitment to providing quality nursing education across the nation. The York campus joins our growing network, which now includes locations in Dothan, Alabama; Mesa, Arizona; and Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. These additions reflect our dedication to addressing the increasing demand for healthcare professionals nationwide.
In other news, the New Jersey Council of County Colleges (NJCCC) has been honored as the 2025 NJBIZ Health Care Education Hero. This recognition celebrates NJCCC's leadership in advancing life sciences and biomanufacturing workforce development through the NJBioFutures initiative. This program equips students and workers with the skills needed to thrive in the evolving pharmaceutical and biomanufacturing industries.
Turning to athletics, New Jersey City University (NJCU) has announced plans to join a new athletic conference. After 67 years with the New Jersey Athletic Conference, NJCU will transition to a rebranded league that includes eight Division III members of the City University of New York Athletic Conference. This move aims to enhance the student-athlete experience and expand the university's brand.
In health news, Centenary University has earned first place in the small college division of the eighth annual New Jersey College & University Flu Challenge for the 2024–2025 academic year. This achievement highlights the university's commitment to promoting flu vaccinations among students.
