Welcome to the JESUS LOVES U Podcast.

(00:02):
Today, we’re going back to Genesis 4.
—the story of Cain and Abel.
This isn’t just a story about murder.
It’s a story about worship, jealousy, and the warning God gave.
that Cain ignored.
⸻ Genesis 4:3–5 says.
“Cain brought to the Lord an offering of the fruit of the ground,
and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions.

(00:27):
And the Lord had regard for Abel and his offering, but for Cain and his offering He had no regard.
” Both brought something.
But God accepted Abel’s and rejected Cain’s.
Why?
Because Abel brought his best.
—his firstborn, with faith and reverence.
Cain brought just enough to look religious, but his heart wasn’t in it.

(00:48):
Hebrews 11:4 says.
“By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain…”.
God doesn’t just see what you give.
—He sees why you give it.
⸻ Genesis 4:5 says.
“So Cain was very angry, and his face fell.
” Instead of repenting… Cain got jealous.
Jealousy happens when you see someone else being favored by God.

(01:11):
—and instead of drawing closer, you grow bitter.
But God gave Cain a warning in verse 7.
“If you do well, will you not be accepted?
And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door.
” God was saying.
“You can fix this.
Just do it right.
” But Cain ignored Him—and murdered his brother instead.
⸻ This isn’t just a story from long ago.

(01:33):
Cain’s spirit is still alive in many today.
• People who look religious, but worship without love.
• People who get jealous of someone else’s favor instead of changing their heart.
• People who bring God leftovers and expect His best.
Let me ask you.
• Is your worship real—or just routine?
• Are you giving God your best—or whatever’s left?

(01:55):
• Do you rejoice when others are blessed—or get bitter?
Cain wasn’t rejected because God played favorites.
He was rejected because he didn’t come with faith.
⸻ God told Cain, “Sin is crouching at the door.
” It still is.
That sin you haven’t dealt with?
That attitude in your heart?
That comparison that’s turning to hatred?
God sees it—and He’s warning you.

(02:17):
You can still turn around.
But you must choose.
⸻ Let’s pray.
Father, Search my heart.
Forgive me for the times I’ve brought You empty worship.
Reveal any jealousy, pride, or hidden sin trying to take root.
Help me give You my best—not just in words, but in spirit and truth.
Let my worship be real.

(02:37):
Let my life please You.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen.
⸻ Cain gave an offering.
But Abel gave his heart.
Don’t just go through the motions.
Worship God with everything.
Thanks for listening to the JESUS Loves U Podcast.
If this convicted you, share it.
Let’s be a generation of Abels—offering God faith, obedience, and truth.

(03:00):
Until next time—stay surrendered.
