Silver Linings Playbook (2012), directed by David O. Russell, is a romantic dramedy about Pat Solitano (Bradley Cooper), a man with bipolar disorder trying to rebuild his life after a mental health crisis. After moving back in with his parents, he meets Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), a troubled young widow. The two form an unlikely bond through a dance competition, helping each other confront their emotional struggles. The film explores themes of mental illness, family, and love. Jennifer Lawrence won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance, and the film received widespread critical acclaim.
