(00:04):
Kambria [00:01.841]
Hey, hey everybody.
Welcome back to the Kaya Podcast.
Man, it's been a while, sosuper excited to be back.
And I'm really, really thrilledthat we're through the eclipse
(00:24):
season and Mercury retrograde.
I don't know about you all,but that was a bumpy ride.
So super happy to be through that.
For the most part, May is fairlysmooth from an astrological
standpoint and a really good timeto just kind of get back on track
with anything that may be hiccupedthrough Mercury retrograde season.
(00:49):
We are now in Taurus season and thisis the season of grounding and beauty
and finances and connecting to natureand art, design, our value system.
So.
You know, even if you are notTaurus, don't have any major Taurus
placements, we all are affected bythe energy in the cosmos each month.
(01:14):
Regardless of your own personalplacements, we all feel it.
So beautiful, beautiful time to kindof connect with Mother Earth, to
ground, to find yourself in nature,to relook at your relationship with
finances and money and abundance.
which a whole episode willcome in the future about money.
(01:36):
So yeah, on today's episode, I reallywant to just dive into something
super personal and close to my heart.
And that is the fiveyear anniversary of Kaya.
So if you've been listening or haveheard this, Kaya stands for come as you
are with a K because K are with a K.
(01:58):
So this will be on...
May 5th of 2024 will be the five yearanniversary of KAYA being in existence.
On 5 .5 of 2019 was the first ever ComeAs You Are KAYA community event and
it was held in downtown Salt Lake atwhat a place was then called Lady Bird.
(02:20):
They don't operate anymore, whichis unfortunate, but it was a
really beautiful like co -workingspace focused on women and...
Kambria [02:25.393]
I had a dear friend and friends who ranit and we held the space and this event
just literally was so transformational.
(02:40):
It was held, I believe on a Sundayand we just had multiple women
come and everybody opened up theirhearts and opened up their souls.
And I had some really powerful impactfulspeakers and we did some energy work in.
some partner work and healingand singing and crying.
(03:02):
And it was all done in community.
And so that was really kindof the beginning of Kaya.
So to hear the origin story of how Kayastarted, and it wasn't just like, oh, I
want to start a spirituality business.
It really came throughinspiration and a download.
Same with the name, right?
(03:23):
Kaya came that way.
So.
That was the first Kayacommunity event ever.
And this will be five years of findingcommunity with others, being a safe
place for humans to come and to be whothey are and to connect and to heal.
It's been really interesting as being, youknow, I guess you would technically call
(03:50):
me like the CEO or the founder of Kaya.
Right?
Our brains and society loves toknow what that actually means.
I just feel like I have been what Iwould prefer to call an Eaglebone.
Eaglebones are one of thestrongest, if not the strongest
bones, and they are hollow.
(04:11):
And I was taught this by one of my mentorsalong the way, who was of Native descent.
Being an Eaglebone is beingsuper strong and understanding.
and being grounded in, butyou're hollow, allowing it to
be like a clear source, right?
Hollow energy and information flowsthrough and out, flows through and out.
(04:36):
So for me personally, that hasbeen my experience with KAYA.
And it's been really interesting becauseI view KAYA as a living, breathing thing.
Kambria [04:46.897]
And it's not my thing.
I'm just the Eaglebone thatholds the space to bring it to
whoever wants to be involved.
(04:58):
There's been a couple ofretreats that have happened.
I have to say, I really, really love the retreats.
They, they tend to be veryenergetically big for me personally.
And
But they really, it's so beautiful whenyou get a bunch of very powerful humans
(05:22):
together for a few days, disconnectingfrom their lives, disconnecting from
technology, disconnecting from theworld and just being totally super
present in their healing, in theirconnection, in their ability to transcend.
I'm just like, I'm literally havingthese flashbacks of the first ever Kaya
(05:43):
retreat and the second Kaya retreat.
And just so many things that you literallycannot plan that just happened because
you know, you're in the right placedoing the right thing at the right time.
So there's been a couple of retreats.
We did zodiac nights for ever.
And that was also, you know, such a blast.
(06:03):
And it was fun to get togetheronce a month and talk about the sun
side of the zodiac that we're in.
Right.
So great news, everybody.
Both of those things are coming back.
Woohoo!
I hope you're now cheering in your car.
You are clapping.
You are screaming.
(06:24):
You are jumping for joy.
Okay?
So those are definitely two things thathave been on the docket for a minute.
And I'm like, okay, we'regoing to bring those back.
So definitely get back to awell -played Zodiac series.
And you know, cause I thought like, Ithink for me, I kind of was like, oh man.
(06:47):
Now that we've done these for acouple of years, people are really
understanding what it is to be aTaurus or what it is to be this.
And I'm human, just like everyone else.
I get in my head aboutthings or I write stories.
I'm like, well, no, it's likepeople aren't interested anymore.
Well, the reality is I have met many ofyou that are listening to this podcast
(07:09):
and you have never been to a Zodiac Night.
Kambria [07:13.425]
Right?
It's like, okay, cool.
These are the only peopleI'm ever going to meet.
And also what I realized for thepeople who were coming consistently
was it was a really powerful time andknowing that you could show up to a
KAYA event and see your people and seeother people who you've connected with
(07:31):
in the past or maybe you haven't seenand be able to connect in real life.
And I know for me, I knowthat that's been missing.
So.
Zodiac nights are coming back.
We are going to do those again.
Come learn about the sun side we're in.
You know, we'll definitely takeon some different paths with that.
If you are new here, if I have met youin the last couple of years, even if
(07:56):
you've come to one or two zodiacs, butyou haven't made it to all, I love those.
And what I also love is I love beingable to share information that is
super useful to everyone's life.
So understanding whatTaurus traits really are.
I know a lot of us are on social media andthere's a lot of astrology stuff on TikTok
and Instagram and all of the things.
(08:19):
And a lot of the time it's awesomeand it's fun and it's funny to watch.
And a lot of what I've seen is not totallyaccurate for the art type of those signs.
So something that I'm passionate about isreally giving people full understanding
because you could have a Taurus child,Taurus girlfriend, Taurus lover, Taurus.
(08:40):
parent and understanding some of thesebasic archetypes of tourists is so, so
impactful in those relationships, aswell as understanding the current season
where the sun is for yourself, for yourbusiness, for your own personal growth.
What are the seasons to grow?
What are the seasons to slow down?
What are the best seasonsto start something?
(09:02):
When do we market ourselves best?
When do we play?
When do we focus onour relationships more?
You know, there's a timeand season for everything.
So those are coming back.
As far as a retreat standpoint, yes.
And what I would hope, if you'velistened this far, this is definitely
an episode I want to hear your feedback.
(09:23):
People, DM me, text me, call me, cometo the KAYA party on Sunday, five, five.
Let me know, send us an email andcome as you are at Gmail with a K.
Kambria [09:37.329]
come as you aren't spelled out atGmail, please let us know your feedback.
What are you craving?
What do you as the viewers, as thelisteners, as the most important part
(09:48):
of Kaya community, what do you want?
Do you wanna see a retreat?
Do you wanna see zodiac nights come back?
Sadna.
So some of you are now cheeringand some of you are like, no.
Sadhana is our very early morningmeditation where we begin when
it's dark and we end once thesun has come up or is rising.
(10:12):
The entire purpose of sadhana, atleast how we do it here, is to greet
the sun before the sun greets you.
There's something very powerful aboutknowing that you have beat the sun, right?
You are going to greet thesun before the sun greets you.
It is a very early morningmeditation and is done
(10:32):
that way on purpose.
It is very personal.
And definitely, other than wakingup so early, one of my ultimate
favorite coming into community.
You know, it is said in these times, right, we are in these Cali times that for
10 minutes of meditation in these timesthat we live in, it is 10 times or yeah,
(10:56):
for every minute is 10 times good karma.
Right?
because these times are so stressfuland so intense and things are
happening and it's just really, really, really big intense times.
So when we can meditate,we get 10 times good karma.
So the traditional sadhana is technicallya two and a half -ish hour sadhana.
(11:18):
And so that gives you24 hours of good karma.
Here I have switched it.
I have kind of, you know, createdsomething a little bit more doable for...
our lives and what we do here.
And it's a super early morning meditation.
You come, come in your pajamas, roll outof bed, head in, get on the mat, do some
(11:40):
light movement, some, you know, gettinginto our bodies a little bit, a little
bit of breath, some meditation, and thensome chanting slash singing, depending
on if you choose to engage in that.
I'm here to tell you, if you have notexperienced a sadhana, y 'all, it is
Kambria [11:59.985]
life -changing.
(12:01):
I have had people during retreats, wedo sadhana every morning and multiple
people have said at different times, holy smokes, I've never felt that way
unless I was, you know, like on anactual like mushroom journey or actual
plant medicine journey of some kind.
So this is a really, really, really powerful thing.
And the biggest half of sadhanais just getting to sadhana.
(12:26):
So if you're thinking, I cannotwake up and go right now it's better
because the sun comes up later.
So right now we'redoing SADNA on May 12th.
And again, I know this is likewith podcasts, you're not supposed
to be specific with dates.
Well, hopefully you're listening to live.
And if you're not, and it's waydown the road, you missed it.
Okay.
But we are doing one on May12th, which is mother's day.
(12:47):
That one's going to be Uberspecial because as we're going to
be honoring all of mother energyand all the moms and then also.
Amazing because it ismy partner's birthday.
So we'll be honoring her, which is superspecial, but definitely come to that.
I know it's early, but what Ialso know is very few people have
plans at 5 55 in the morning untilseven o 'clock in the morning.
(13:11):
Right.
Especially on a Sunday.
So I hope to see all there.
So sad now that is during thefive years of KAYA, we actually
did a 40 day sadna, right?
During COVID we met on zoom.
I think there was about25 of us that did it.
And I think ultimately maybe threeor four did it the full 40 days.
So if you were listening and you wereone of those three or four, you got to
(13:33):
message me because I want to give you ashout out for making it the full 40 days.
I mean, I did it for the 40days and had no choice, right?
But we did 40 days of sadhanaduring the Kaya five years.
What else did we do?
Well, prior to Kaya fiveyear, I launched this podcast.
So that's exciting.
(13:53):
the podcast got launched.
We've also done new moon and full moonevents, a lot of sound healing too,
whether it be combined with breathwork or just added into any kind of
healing event or new moon or full moon.
Prior to Kaya, I wasn't biginto astrology my whole life.
(14:16):
That came a year -ish beforeKaya was founded and...
Kambria [14:22.737]
But I've definitely always loved the moon.
I have always felt drawn to the moon andhave always just been so enamored by her.
And as being a woman and understanding,I have my own personal moon cycle.
And the more I learn about themoon cycles, especially the effect
(14:39):
of the full moon on us as humans, the more that that has come.
So I don't know.
I'm trying to think.
There's just, we've, we've had amazing.
Oh, we had a kaya fire one time and wedid like an outdoor fire thing and it
was so incredible because we were in themountains and the kaya fire was kind of
(15:02):
similar to like this anniversary party.
We just wanted to bring all kayapeople together that had come to
any kaya event, but it poured right.
We were up Big Cottonwood Canyon and westarted out, we had food and it was great.
And then we're like, Oh, it lookslike the clouds are rolling in.
And it was so.
incredible because we just stowedeverything away and then the rain came
(15:25):
and we all just danced under the rainand we had the absolute best time.
Kambria [15:38.225]
And I mean, pouring like torrentialdownpour and dancing and singing.
We have videos of that somewhere.
(15:46):
I've got to make sure that we find that.
What's also cool too is that thelast retreat for KAYA, we were inside
doing another really powerful kindof personal healing meditation.
Actually, no, it was group work.
It was a really personal moment.
And there was a reallybeautiful woman there who kind
of had like this aha moment.
(16:07):
And I kid you not, as soon as thataha moment happened, we looked
outside and started pouring rain.
And I was like, okay, everyone leave your stuff.
We're going outside and we, same thing.
I'm getting full chillsas I'm telling the story.
We just ran outside and we danced in therain and we splashed in the puddles and
we turned on our music and we're chanting.
When I say chanting, it's, it'speople would see it as like singing,
(16:30):
but it's, it's a lot of mantra.
And so we're singing or chanting mantra.
And we're doing it together.
We're dancing in the rain andI am literally in full chills.
And I'm probably going tostart to get emotional.
And as I'm sitting here doing thispodcast, y 'all can just know like
the feeling of getting anotherretreat going has been on my mind.
(16:50):
And I think some of my own personalhesitations or personal health and
just life in general, I kind ofkind of getting off topic here, but.
Everything that I have ever done withKaya has stemmed from a place of feeling
or gnosis or intuition or inspiration.
(17:12):
It has not been, you know, yes, I've doneconsistent things like the zodiac, right?
And that is all because I'm like,oh, I want to educate people.
I want to teach people.
I am so passionate about peopleunderstanding astrology and
not because it's a beliefsystem that I want people to.
because astrology is not a beliefsystem, astrology is a language.
(17:33):
And when you understand this languagethat has been shared and taught and
understood for millions of years, right?
Just it's incredible the impactit can have on your life.
So, but I want you all to knowthat the events and the holding
of space and the retreats andthe Zooms and the sadhanas are...
(17:56):
Kambria [17:58.641]
often just like, okay, cool.
It's a feeling.
It's a gnosis.
People need sadhana.
We got to schedule sadhana, right?
Or, okay, I'm ready for a retreat.
I know people, I know thisretreat is going to happen and
like, let's put it together.
So it's all been very intuitively based.
It's been very inspirationallyhappened and less about, you
(18:17):
know, oh, we got to do this.
You know, I do not pay for my life.
Like I have been very blessed.
Y 'all know I do real estate, butI do it intuitively and I do it.
with the people that trust me andwith the people who want to be in
alignment with their goals, theirvalues, as well as the woo -woo energy,
as well as being a complete and uttergangster and being a real estate agent.
(18:43):
So sidebar, if you needa good one, let me know.
At least have a conversation with me.
But that's how I make my money.
That's how I live.
That's how I provide for mychildren and my family and myself.
So a lot of the KAYA stuff is just, there has to be an energy exchange that
I have learned that I tried to likethe first kind of that I will tell you
was an all day event, including food.
(19:04):
And if I remember, I thinkI charged $55 per person.
Yup.
So for those of you that haveheld space held events, right?
20 ish people came andliterally was an all day.
It was like nine to fiveor 10 to six or something.
It's been a while.
and I provided food andI paid for the space.
(19:25):
So it's not like these events are monetarygains for me, but what I have learned is
everything requires an energetic exchange.
And when people invest their energy, which in our world today, nine times
out of 10 just happens to be money, thenthey decide they are more committed and
they will get more out of it, right?
(19:45):
So yeah, the first event was that.
So I would just say, you know,
When I do events, when I holdspace, it is so intuitively driven.
It is motivated by somebodysaying, hey, when's the next blank?
And then I get it y 'all.
You'll be like, I'm gonnaask you about a treat.
I've probably heard, whenis your next retreat?
(20:06):
Maybe 10 times or 15times in the last year.
So I know that that wants to come.
So retreats are coming back.
Also in that timeframe.
Kambria [20:17.681]
I have done privatesound healing for people.
I have done private energy work sessions.
I just announced that I am backopen to doing one -on -one Reiki
slash energy sessions with people.
(20:29):
So if that's something that interestsyou or calls to you, let me know.
Those spots are super limited andthere'll be a little bit of a conversation
prior to having the first session.
So it's just, I feel in a sense, right,
like this KAYA five year anniversaryparty has really helped me get
very clear and get back into aplace of like, this is important.
(20:55):
Kambria [20:57.137]
The Kaya community wasnot something I started.
I am just the Eaglebone thatwas chosen or maybe I chose, I
don't know, to bring it here.
You, if you are listening, you are Kayacommunity and every single person that
shows up to a sadhana or a retreat ora zodiac night is meant to be there.
(21:16):
I know that for a fact.
I have experienced that time andtime and time again, which is why...
Some events, there'llbe five people there.
Some events, there'll be 65 peoplethere and anywhere in between.
And I have come to know over these fiveyears that as long as I am an Eaglebone
and I am a clear, clear space, thatthe right things drop in at the right
(21:40):
time and that the exact people whoare meant to be there will be there.
So reflecting back on five years of KAYA,I just want to send out my dearest and
most heartfelt thank you to every singlehuman who has chosen to come to any
event across the board in person on Zoom.
(22:02):
You've traveled, even people who havenever attended a KAYA event, but you have
supported me through wishing me good luck.
Those of you that I'm friends withonline, on Instagram, my old Journey's
people that are still like likingmy stuff, they're probably like.
What?
How do you go from slingin' shoes andmanaging a hundred freakin' people all
(22:25):
the time to, you know, playin' drums andsound bowls and talkin' about the stars?
But, you know, it is what it is, y 'all.
I'm still who I am, but all ofthat feels far more aligned.
So I just want to thankevery single person.
I'm in so much, just feeling so muchgratitude and I'm just in awe, really.
(22:46):
When I sit back, somebody the otherday who doesn't know anything,
she's like a body worker for me.
And, you know, I told her andshe's like, oh, that's cool.
How long you been doing that?
And I was like, well, we'reabout to celebrate five years.
And she was like, what?
Wow.
You know, five years of holdingevents, five years of community,
(23:06):
five years of energy exchange, five years of growth on my part.
It is definitely a lot of.
Kambria [23:17.361]
self -reflection, self -awareness,self -growth on my part.
So I just want you to know that thereis not a single person that has attended
an event that I am not grateful for.
I am also very inspired by all of you.
(23:28):
I know that I have been in a place, you know, like I've shared multiple
times, you know, the last couple yearsfor me, maybe few years really have
been a very personal deep dive of,
of learning and healing and amI willing to pull myself back?
(23:50):
I think I get in my head like, ohman, you know, like people don't
care about kayak community anymore.
People aren't as engaged.
And I can look at that and recognizethat I myself have been further
back because I've just beengoing through some stuff, right?
And that's also okay.
And I feel...
more ready and more confident to getback having some of these consistent
(24:15):
things and putting these things together, knowing that the right bunch of people
will show up at the right times.
And I'm excited.
I'm excited for thenext five years of Kaya.
I cannot wait for what we can do.
You know, some of the things that aredropping in that I'm ready to do are
like, yes, more retreats, more, youknow, retreats in outside locations.
(24:39):
combination work with other people, pulling in other practitioners.
So this is also an invitation if youare a practitioner of any kind and you
want to co -collab or whatever, let'ssit down and see if it's a good fit.
Bringing back Zodiac Knights, I'malso wanting to bring back courses
if those of you that are interested.
(24:59):
Like I'm a teacher at heart, y 'all.
I do birth chart readings and I love them.
And then I like hang up with youand I'm like, oh, I have so much
more to tell them, teach them.
So I want to bring in courses.
Like if that's something you wouldrather do, like I have an astrology
course or I have a course on money orwould you rather like workshops, right?
So these different things.
(25:21):
One final thing, this will be thelast thing before we end today's
incredible podcast as they alwaysare, hashtag Leo, is mini retreats.
So I have had training and experience ina handful of different healing modalities.
Kambria [25:38.097]
And I've had a couple of people be like, Iwant to learn Reiki or tell me more about
Kundalini or what about sound healing?
(25:42):
So I am also thinking about doing likelittle mini weekends of introduction to
energetics and how to use some of thesedifferent modalities and kind of like a
little buffet of different modalities sothat each person can decide maybe which
one they'd want to dive deeper into.
This was something I did backin the first, same thing I think
during COVID, I had a really
(26:04):
amazing group of just threeor four, maybe five women.
And we called it the Kaya Healersand we kind of went through a bunch
of different modalities together.
And that was really, that was definitelyone of my favorite things as well.
So looking to bring that backand change it up a little bit.
So please, please, please, ifyou are listening and you make it
(26:24):
here, I would love your feedback.
Even if you cannot attend something or youwouldn't just tell me like what you would.
Right.
Because every single one of youthat listens, that supports me, that
loves me, that loves Kaya, that lovesthe people in Kaya, every single
person is really an integral part.
(26:45):
I promise you, it is a community.
So I want to know your feedback.
Text me, email us at comeasuartgmail, hit us up on Instagram at kaya
.com, both with Ks because Cambria.
Whatever way you can contactus, that would be amazing.
We want to hear from you.
So.
I hope you all have the best week.
(27:06):
Oh yeah.
Just to throw in some astrology,May 8th is a new moon in Taurus.
Beautiful time to start somethingnew with money, finances, art.
Like if you're an artist, May 8th isa great day to start a new project,
bring in something new, announcesomething new, our value systems
and y 'all it's Taurus season.
Get out in the, it's Taurus season.
(27:29):
Let's try this again.
Get out in two.
Mother nature, get out, put your feeton the planet, put your feet in the
earth, feel her, give thanks to her.
And I will see y 'all on Sundayat the Kaya party, five five,
five 55 at Wisconsin daybreak.
Bye.
